Popped in yesterday afternoon with my wife for quick pint on a wet and windy afternoon before heading into town for a concert. This place is an absolute gem. Good beer, friendly staff, old fashion and rustic and great views up the River Tyne. There is nothing fancy about this place it’s just the way a pub should been.

Cheese sauce was just melted cheese, delivery wasn’t to my door had to go chasing the man up the street to get the food

Decent menu for choice. Fish looked fantastic Burger tasted great and was moist cooked excellent not over done.

Absolutely horrific experience. We had to wait an hour for a cheesy chip wrap, and when asked after 45 minutes where our food was we were told it was in the oven? Confused? We weren’t offered anything as compensation, absolutely will never be coming back here

A Gem of a place . Great selection of beers and ales. Good coverage of sports on the screens with a good and friendly atmosphere.
