Five stars are simply not enough to capture the utter delight of the Cheese and Ham Panini at Wetherspoons! From the moment the panini hits the table, you're greeted with the alluring aroma of perfectly toasted bread that sets your taste buds alight with anticipation. The bread is crispy on the outside, yet amazingly soft inside, creating a splendid texture that complements the filling beautifully.

This multifaceted establishment seamlessly combines the best of a traditional Wetherspoon pub with the excitement of a Lloyds bar. As you step inside, you'll be enveloped by an electric vibe. The ground floor offers a more relaxed ambiance, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a leisurely meal. But the real magic awaits upstairs. Ascend to the top floor, and you'll find yourself in a world of music, lights, and people dancing The Mile Castle doesn't skimp on the essentials. You'll still enjoy the classic Weatherspoons offerings like affordable drinks a wide selection of real ales, food etc. But here's the twist the added bonus of loud music and lights. It's like your favorite pub turned into a mini nightclub. (reflective of the weekend)

This has to be the worst Wetherspoons in the country for customer service levels which I have experienced in the last couple of weeks The team and management do not care at all about customers being very unfriendly and confrontational; not even acknowledging guests with a hi or welcome preferring to chat with colleagues than serve customers. Go to the Mile End for the cheap drinks but expect to receive rude and arrogant service from all the team.

Such a disappointing visit with my family. The food was poor. We had a Small complaint that the food from my six yr old nephew was taken before he were finished. Team leader Alice had an absolutely appalling attitude when we tried to explain the mistake. We were accused of lying and received no apology. Following our complaint the air conditioning over us was turned up high. We spoke to Beth the duty manager but unfortunately the customer service is not there. We used to love coming here but won't be back. We went to keelman wetherspoons where staff apologised for our experience here which was all we wanted in the first instance. Wouldn't recommend. If you are looking for wetherspoons visit keelman, Quay side bar or five swans. This is the worst in Newcastle

Wetherspoons The Mile Castle is a massive Wetherspoons pub in the city centre and is one of the busiest pubs we went to on a six day city break to Newcastle. With ground/first and second floor seating areas all with a typical Wetherspoons look and feel and many interesting fixtures and features relating to the local area and the local history. We visited here several times and on every occasion we had meals which were always well served and priced.Looking at some of the reviews we where a little apprehensive about eating here but as mentioned all our meals were well served and cooked and its drinks range was well priced.A great Wetherspoon to visit and very easy to locate from Grainger street bus stop it's a short walk.(This is my first review of the Mile Castle).Opening Hours. After a lovely time in Newcastle we called for a quick drink while we waited for our train - wish we hadn’t bothered! Dirty tables with drinks left all over despite having plenty of staff. Ordered drinks from a young lady who was obviously struggling but very pleasant, she had to ask for help several times from other staff members who stood around talking instead of helping her, my friend I were patient as have 5 girls between us, 3 of them having worked in pubs. My friend was having a conversation with me and a member of staff made some very sarcastic remark to my friend. I went over to speak to the staff member to ask what the problem was and she was extremely rude stating she thought we were complaining about the girl who was serving us, I explained we were not, she was very intimidating and was smirking to her colleagues and when I asked her name she put her hand up in front of her face and refused to speak to me. This place needs some serious staff training and strong management! Customer service non existent!

We visited the pub on 3 separate weekdays during the day and early evening. It's in a convenient location being close to the railway station and the main shopping area. It was always busy when we went. There is a large beer 'garden' with bench tables and a large covered area. The inside is 3 floors. The drinks are like all Wetherspoon pubs ie reasonable prices. The staff, especially Laura, were very pleasant and helpful. The food was expected. It was value for money. We enjoyed our time there. The one thing I would suggest is that the men's toilets could do with a bit more attention. They are clean but the smell is a negative.

Many of us ordered breakfast via the app . Unfortunately 4 of us had to wait 30 minutes or more before we received our order of food. It was understandable that the staff were extremely busy and so maybe the wait was acceptable although I couldn’t understand why others in our group received theirs. The main point of this review is to comment on the bad attitude of the staff. When I informed a staff member who seemed to be the manager about not receiving the meals her reaction was to state they would be with us soon and then requested 3 of us moved onto another table because we had added a small table to the original table set up so to accommodate 2 people. I felt like she was doing this out of spite because I asked about the meals we hadn’t received. She was more interested in moving us and didn’t enquire about what meals we were waiting for. We then had to wait a further 10 minutes before we received 2 meals and then had to ask again before we got the last one. This was a full breakfast and had to be eaten within approx 8 minutes because we had a train to catch at 9.55. We all ordered our meals at 8.30-8.45 This was not a pleasant experience to start a long awaited customer service team day out. I also feel that this must be an awful place to work because not one member of staff smiled or made any pleasantries to us in the time we were there. I must state we were not unruly or noisy like some large groups who were there and who also did not get told to separate from their party unlike us.This was a very disappointing experience and I personally will not be visiting this place again. It is difficult sometimes to work in a Customer Service Role and I totally understand the pressures that it can bring but I am positive that me and my colleagues would never treat our customers the way we were treated . Not once did we receive an apology for our lengthy wait .
