Great little pub that does really nice food... Stopped in for lunch with a friend and wasn't disappointed. Prices are about right for the type and amount of pub grub. You can get a two course lunch for less than £20 on a Monday to Thursday before 5pm... Recommended...

Love these guys they are fabulous! We had my sons' Christening do in the small room and a staff Xmas party. The staff are genuinely lovely. The food is good (I love the flat bread and skewers). The Vintage Inn App always unlocks good discounts. The decor is fab. Easy to park. Recommend!!

I had a meal new year eve so it was a set menu. It was very nice food, good atmosphere & great service. I would definitely recommend & I would definitely visit again.

Had a birthday meal there. They had forgotten to decorate the table so it was a disappointing start. Service was excellent but the food was very mediocre, very few and small cubes of chicken in the curry. Small portions, dessert was comically tiny. Expensive for what you get, and that’s compared to central London. Better off going to Gosforth High Street.

Booked here after a recommendation from a family member, food was average and we thought over priced for what it was, I’ve heard good things about the Sunday dinners and will more than likely try one but not in a hurry to go back

Sat in the corner with an old friend. I suffer from agoraphobia so this was a big deal for me. The staff was great, the corner was ideal and I ended up staying out a lot longer than I thought I ever would. We put everything on a tab and paid at the end, was really straight forward. Thank you to my friend for going to the bar for me and ordering :)

I was served by Kerry(?). Pleasant person and good customer skills (the other staff I spoke to where also nice.) Danni(?) Was my chef. Very nice food I had the Tandoori chicken skewer for a starter. Small portion but I might just be a glutton. Pork belly was very nice (I usually have this Chinese style with a big fat crispy cap on it) this was the fist time I had pork belly this style and it was slow cooked, soft and tender. Very nice. Mash was nice. Couldve done with more gravy but I am from Lancashire and I like to have plenty of gravy. Overall, would recommend. No faults. This is my second time visiting and I will be back when I'm next in Gosforth, I specifically book the travelodge to come back to this place, I much prefer premier inn. I hope this review reaches management and gives you a little chuckle. Here's a joke for you: What do you call a well-balanced horse? Stable.

Food was outstanding! Cooked by Danielle and Matty S. I had the Beef sandwich and will definitely be back for another. Served by the Haggis man on the bar who poured a lovely pint of neck oil ! Would recommend to all!

Food extremely poor, overcooked! We are frequent visitors to the area and have eaten here regularly due to the excellent quality of food, however we were unimpressed with the breakfast and evening meal on our last visit earlier this year and again for breakfast this morning. The standard of food has really deteriorated. This is such a shame as the Falcons Nest is beautiful and the service excellent, sadly let down by the food. We had booked for an evening meal tonight, but will be cancelling and going elsewhere.

I had a lovely chicken bacon and avo salad . Chicken had a lovely chargrill taste plenty of salad and garlic bread . I really enjoyed it

Food was beautiful, full of flavour and piping hot. Our chef was Matty S and we couldn't fault the food. We were served by Abbie who was so lovely, really friendly and polite but not overbearing and kindly moved us tables when we asked. She's a credit to the pub.

The manager gave very attentive service and excellent guidance on various menu items. I also received a bottle of Prosecco as a birthday gift, which was a very kind and thoughtful gesture.

We booked a table for 3 which was easy to do through the website. The food was amazing. My wife and mother-in-law had the fishcakes which they described as the best they had ever had. I had the charcuterie pizza which was beautiful. The puddings were also wonderful (the chocolate orange is well worth a try). The service was excellent. The staff were really attentive and friendly. Checked that everything was to our satisfaction. Good choice of drinks. We Were served by Tam and the chefs were Matty & Colin. Shout out to all the staff. Wonderful night was had by all. Heartily recommended.

Just went for a couple of drinks but it’s quite nice and clean inside and service is great.

Me and my partner went to the falcons nest Sat 15th Feb, We had a starter and main course which was absolutely georgous, Compliments to the chefs 10/10, And the waitress Lydia was really good Too, Definitely recommend and will be Returning 😊

Pictures look good. But food is very average . Meat was all fatty. Reheated potato's, stuffing and Yorkshire. Pretty dissapointed. We weren't asked once if everything was OK.... normal hospitality rule?????.. weren't asked if we wanted any desserts... table was cleared and one was still drinking... felt rushed out. Love dogs but constant crying was a bit off putting . Don't think I would re visit as we came from Sunderland.

My experience with The Falcons Nest was amazing. The staff (Courtney, Ian and Lydia) were extremely welcoming and very nice. The food was all top quality and the bar snacks definitely lived up to the price. The chefs Marty B, Micheal and Colin did an amazing job.

Great and quick service from Natalie and outstanding food from the chef, Matthew. Such a hidden gem, some of the best pub food i’ve eaten, never disappoints. Staff are always friendly and food always tastes good. Dog friendly too 🐶

Back from Spain for just a few days!! NEEDED a steak. Beautiful rib-eye! Excellent bottle of wine. Such great friendly & amusing service by Kevin (the main man). Nothing is cheap any more in England! Fast becoming a favourite when we're in this neck of the woods. Food was fantastic, we had the pork belly, chicken parmigiana and fish and chips. All plates were cleared. Reasonably priced. Visited in November 2024 and loved the ambience, food, staff and drink. Back again in February and nothing's changed. Walked in without a reservation. They were busy with a painting class but there was still room in the restaurant for us. Food was again delicious. Abbie, our waiter was very attentive and appeared to be very happy in her work. Special compliments to Matty S, the chef. Best pork belly around!! Will definitely be back when we're in this neck of the woods again. Well worth the 6 hour drive!

Had lunch there today with my friend. Sarah served us and Donni and Matty S did the cooking. Both the food and the service were excellent. The sea bass was delicious, especially with the accompanying roast potatoes and prawns. I thought the choice of a mini pudding and a drink was a great idea as sometimes a full dessert is too much. Yesterday evening me and my dad stopped by for some food and it was amazing! We got served by maisey on the bar, she was great recommending what beer is most popular! Such a lovely pub!

We lived in Gosforth for 20 years and didn’t know the place! Super food and atmosphere full of serenity! Nice smiles from the staff with very nice manner!

We had a wonderful experience! Fantastic beef Sunday lunches enjoyed very much by 3 of our group, fish and chips described as excellent and a delicious buttermilk chicken burger. All 5 of us had dessert, with 2 of us opting for the mini dessert and hot drink. All were fantastic. Great, friendly customer service from Abby. We enjoyed the ambience, although dinning was busy it wasn't too noisy, cramped or chaotic. Nothing to improve. 😊

After a 6 hour journey, booked into Travelodge and went straight to this pub, which was about 200 yards away. The staff were welcoming, and ghe food amazing, best meal out we had eaten in a while. Good beer too! Would thoroughly recommend.

Just had an early dinner this teatime on New Year's eve and we were served by the lovely Sarah with food cooked by Matty B and Michael. Excellent service all round and food was delicious! We had a couple of vegetarian skewers with flatbread, a fish finger sandwich and a brisket sandwich. The decorations and dining room were pretty too . Ate there again Sunday 19 Jan and Sunday lunch was superb. The turkey was succulent and tasty. Decor is lovely too.

Friday night so was busier but waited over an hour for food, my vegan option was lovely and adults fish & chips were lovely but the kids burger was cold, greasy and the bun was solid, pizza was a frozen one so wasn’t nice but if we visit with the kids again we’ll order them adult meals because the adult burgers looked lovely.

Had a fantastic Christmas Lunch on the 25th, couldn't have been better. Will definitely consider coming back again as not only do I not have to cook it they make a better job of it too! We'd been once or twice before so will probably try and visit every so often.

We always have a christmas eve meal with the grandchildren, this year we booked in advance for the Falcons nest. The place was rammed, so booking had been wise. We were seated close to other tables with children so I wondered if they kept us all together in a family area. The atmosphere was fabulous and christmassy, the tables had a candle and a mini tree. The food was good but the desserts were the best ever, very very good, the best cheesecake I've had in years (not the usual restaurant foamy stuff)., so compliments to chef Michael. We were served by Abbie who was cheerful, helpful and very attentive, despite being so busy! We've decided to book there again for christmas eve 2025. Highly recommend.

Had a great Christmas party! Our chef, Michael made such an amazing job, food was superb, I was well impressed with the flavours and portion sizes. Much better than most restaurants.

I paid for my daughter in law and grandchildren to go to Santas breakfast she said the staff couldn't do enough for them it was cosy Christmasy and Santa was great they each had a present appropriate for their ages a wonderful breakfast which was amazing and all round a wonderful day thankyou so much amazing value for money and wonderful memories made i can't recommend highly enough

In times gone bye, we had favourite restaurants in town. Then the Falcon’s Nest opened and it has now become our ‘go to’ place to eat. We have got to know the staff; always an advantage; but they continue to make each meal a little special. Thank you to Natalie, and Danielle and Michael in the kitchen.

We often visit the Falcons Nest and always have a great experience but today the food was absolutely exceptional so felt the need to leave a review. The rare fillet steak was cooked to perfection, steak sauce with lots of flavour and lovely crispy but fluffy chunky chips. My husband had the pie of the day and a Camembert to start, said it was all beautiful too. I believe the chef was Colin so please pass on our comments. Service was quick and attentive! Thanks again!

Fantastic food, great service. The atmosphere is second to none Update: The first review was last year 2023. This is 2024 and what can I say, brilliant. Our server was Natalie, just brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The exquisite aromas wafting from the kitchen promised a delightful culinary experience. Soft lighting and gentle music created a warm and inviting ambiance. Every detail, from the carefully chosen décor to the polished silverware, enhanced the overall experience. It was truly an evening to savor and remember fondly. The combination of delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere made for a truly memorable occasion. Hats off to to Danielle the Chef. Absolutely recommend!

Visited Sunday 8th December for a 2pm lunch booking. Waited nearly 50 mins for our food after ordering and when the food was eventually brought out, both meals were stone cold. Not acceptable at all and will not return especially since the prices are a tad on the high side and do not reflect the standard of the food.

Went out for a meal as a family of 5. Food was lovely and the pub itself has such a nice cosy atmosphere. Served by someone called Ian who was very friendly and great with our kids. Would definitely recommend.

Just been for Christmas dinner. The food was lovely and a good size portion, hats off to the chefs Matty b and Colin Our server Lydia was great too always there to help us and asking if we needed anything and how our food was. We'll definitely be back again next year

Visited for a Christmas catchup. Food was delicious and portions were large. We had cheese fondue mushrooms to start which were delicious followed by a turkey dinner. Plenty to eat, generous amount of turkey with roast potatoes and tasty veg. We were served by Lydia who was extremely helpful and very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We visited for dinner, we hadn’t been for a while but the food was excellent, good portion sizes. The kids loved their meals, as did we both. We were served by a lovely Scottish man I think his name was Kevin not sure though! Very attentive and was great with the kids bringing their food out first. It was a lovely meal and we won’t be leaving it as long the next time for visiting.

Burgers and fish & chips nice. Sunday roasts disgusting. They were good (replaced and still cold), the beef was 80% fat, stuffing was like small round pieces of cardboard. Yorkshire pudding was dried out (reheated). Small roast potatoes had rock solid skins (very chewy). Luckily we weren’t charged for 3 of the meals but it spoilt the whole occasion. We won’t be back.

This was my first ever trip to the Falcon's Nest, on recommendation of my brother - I couldn't have been happier with the experience. Danny & Colin cooked three delicious meals for our group, and Sarah was the most polite and courteous server I've ever had. The prices aren't too bad either. I'll be back.
