Really disappointed with the breakfast roll. It's a cheap bun that you expect in Greggs. The sausages were totally tasteless. No decaf tea available. Overpriced with friendly staff though.

Just visited today for the first time. I agree with a previous reviewer that it is quite expensive but the cakes are individually made and a good size (you could easily share a cake between two). Cakes were delicious and will definitely return.

Nice location and venue overall although a bit more attention to clearing tables and keeping things really clean would be good. Service was friendly and efficient when we went. The prices are steep compared with other local cafés - over £12 for 2 coffees and 1 piece of (small) cake. If you are having 2 drinks over the duration, that starts to rack up. The coffee was OK but I would expect a bit more attention to detail (no spills, and better latté art for example). It's a popular place but I feel it's perhaps resting on its laurels a bit.

Really expensive £8 for 440ml (20% less volume than a pint!) for a beer! Staff cool & come over as don’t care. Shame great location but just poor execution.

Lovely spot for a cuppa and slice of something nice! They know how to make a coffee. Nothing like these chain coffee places nowadays. Good proper coffee

This is a lovely spot in Gosforth the food is beautiful and reasonably priced, however the staff often seem a bit moody and irritated (been the case on multiple visits)

Live locally and have been here several times. Went here this evening. Had the cheese and charcuterie board with bottle of wine. Good quality cheese and meat, accompanied by bread , crackers, piccalilli, fig chutney, sundried tomatoes. Nice selection of wines, including Cava which not many places serve. Friday evenings are busy and worth booking ahead.

Popped in with a friend for a glass of wine and a nibble. The picpul at £5.95 was decent enough and cheese board at £15.95(ish). Only quibble is not enough crackers, could have done with double the amount given the generous portions of cheese. Was super busy, when I left at just gone 7pm there were no free tables which did mean it had a lovely atmosphere.

Beautiful decor inside. Coffee are always perfect. No issues with the food. Very tasty. The only down is the price of everything. I personally think the place is Over priced. I do love the little alcohol shop they have inside. Great choice of whisky

I have been here a few times already in 2022, literally live around the corner but as there is so much choice for coffee in Gosforth I already had a favorite. That place gave me a few average coffee's recently which is why I visited. I have both sat in and taken away. I mostly get coffee here and regardless of the barista its great coffee, the tattooed fella makes the best flat white in Gosforth IMO. Food is also fresh tasting and priced well for the area. My only complaint is that the menu is no longer above the serving area so whilst waiting to be served there is no menu to check and sometimes sandwiches aren't in the fridge so you need to hastily look through the menu whilst there is a queue behind you. In terms of Covid protocol, I'm not really that bothered, I don't believe mask wearing is enforced, not all the staff wear them but there are plastic screens on the serving area and hand sanitiser gel. Decor is nice, comfy chairs, I visited a few times in 2021 with friends and the food at the table works well, everything clean and tidy, haven't tried the alcohol selection yet but I'm sure I will get there. I would recommend trying solely to support local business rather than other coffee giants.

My first visit to GT and possibly my last. None of the staff were wearing masks. Hot drinks were being served in disposable cups.

Nicely done out. Enjoyed our visit. Young staff, however - girl clearing tables totally unaware of crumbs on seats, floor and didn't notice. It's just a pity if details like that get ignored.

Been to Gosforth Traders a few times now and pleased to see it open after a terrible year or so. Great wines, service and advice on their products. GT is a credit to Gosforth and highly recommend you visit soon.

Refurbished last year from a corner shop to lovely coffee shop. The usual selection of coffees with a selection of cakes and sandwiches at a reasonable price to eat in or takeaway. There is also an area selling a huge range of craft beers, wines and spirits. You can buy to take home or choose from the fridges and enjoy a beer or wine inside. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with lovely atmosphere

Just what Newcastle needs.......yet another pretentious 'artisan' cafe. Along with other 'hip-joints' they don't sell Diet Coke or other top-selling sodas but instead offer overpriced and seriously inferior 'local' alternatives. Just why and how these places are becoming more abundant totally escapes me. Cheese scone...

We called into this café on our way to The Great Northern Museum. We ordered two coffees at the counter, but when we came to pay, we were told that cash was not accepted. This is a practice that we find quite deplorable so we left. It turned out well for us, because there was a café a few doors down which was very good and accepts cash.

Had high hopes for brunch at Eve but was a bit disappointed. We were seated straight away by a friendly young man. Probably sat for about 15-20 minutes without anyone approaching us for our order. I managed to get the hosts attention and he took the order for us. Seemed like there was a lot of staff but most of them lingered round the bar area. Saying that, their uniforms were odd, some were dressed in jeans/tshirts/aprons but none of them co ordinated so not always easy to identify who worked there and who didn’t. Pancakes were £11, were quite a small portion so not enough to fill you up. The live music was good but I’m not really sure it suited the vibe.
