Costa Coffee Northumberland Street in Newcastle upon Tyne

I was in here yesterday with my daughter and granddaughter and the server Jamie went above and beyond for us my granddaughter has a baby chino in a sit in mug which she isn't used to and Jamie switched it to a to go cup for her not a lot for most people but meant the world to her 💜

It would of been 5 stars but the toilets were dirty and no toilet roll , was very surprised by the state of the toilets

I don't have a problem with the shop it self it's the standards not having tables cleared and cleaned as i had to ask twice then done it myself but it's not the first time it's happened but it surely will be my very last time short staffed or not i pay for a service..😡

Good location. Friendly staff. Cleanliness can be improved but due to the volume of customers, I don't blame them.

Out of all there shops this one is probably best as it's the only Costa shop that offers pepper in wee sachets all the other ones don't stock them but the one in RVI does ...

I just want to say how lovely the staff member with the short brown pixie with glasses is, I don’t know their name but they were lovely- complemented my earrings and then when they were out of my drink they gave me time to decide an alternative, answered my questions and told me they’d remake it if I didn’t like it. Wonderful staff member, highlight of my day!

Love our regular visits to this place. Course always great, rooms comfortable bar service and food excellent. Unfortunately I left a couple of things in the room but no luck getting through to the team by phone despite leaving messages

Be careful if you go here, you need asbestos fingers, ordered a cheese and onion toastie, the cheese ran out, took it back, got a ham and cheese toastie the cheese ran out like water and burnt my hand, the toilet was leaking all over the floor and staff were uninterested.

We had had worst filter coffee ever in this branch which was cold and watery! The staff were nice and friendly though, which is unusual for a Costa.

Not that bad tho, but yeah. Tell you next time :) Thanks

Due to Covid-19 laws had to sit outside. However, no umbrellas so had to have a drink with my normal medication outside in the pouring rain at a table.

For decades, eat-in prices have been more than takeaway prices. During 'tier 3', when hospitality is closed and for takeaway only, this has flipped. You genuinely couldn't make this up

Coffee was nice but was shocked to find the male barista serving food to customers with his jeans below his bum and his not so clean underpants on full display....... I am sure that is not the standard laid down by Health & Hygiene .....

Treated disgraceful in there today I will never go there again. Absolute disgrace.

Great staff, excellent as always coffee, and in current Covid situation a very safe and well organised way to go into a shop, order and pick up. Depended on where you live you can also order via app and get your order delivered.

Staff were friendly and attentive when ordering and making food. Did notice with the number of staff on and volume of customers available, staff didnt have the time to clean tables upstairs as thoroughly as they did downstairs... overall great experience

Huge size of hot chocolate and latté

Will not return to this Costa. Lady on door made us feel very uncomfortable telling us how to line up. We know how to socially distance bu now. Also the main issue was 50% government discount is advertised on the door but not given, they said they're not doing it. idiculous. And the 1 toilet available was not clean.Costa is usually a reliable choice but not this one

Never back again! The staff from the entrance shop treated me very disrespectful . She was acting like she's the teacher and I am to the kindergarten.

I normally have a fairly good experience at Costa,. But unfortunately two employees have ruined that today. As I was being severed they : were talking about things that I would deem unprofessional. They said things like, ' shall I speak to david and resign' and ' are we playing poker on the weekend.' what really bugged me was that the hot chocolate that My boyfriend and I had tasted like water with a bit of milk in it, normally I come to Costa because the staff are lovely and the hot chocolates are great but unfortunately this was not the case. A Christmas truly ruined,.

Apart from the location and shelter. Coffee, latte, cappuccino... are a joke, no quality at all ...

Lovely place to hangout with friends and family. Personally i love the cafe mocha here. You must give it a try here. Although i didn't like the seating arrangement but it's satisfactory.

I've been a regular for years to this costa and I guess no one likes change but I have to say since the refurb which does look nice but there's a lot of new faces and apart from only a few who have worked there for a long time who are lovely, sadly the new staff don't have that feeling where you look forward to seeing and can trust your Coffee will be nice. I don't mean to sound bad but some of the newer staff have attitude problems and if it's a newer member making the coffee it's not the same anymore.

Asked for a mint choc chip frostino with a shot of Columbian coffee, staff argued saying they can't do that. Funny how I always get that. What I got was this: where's the milk? Where's the cream? Not even blended..

Friendly service with a nice Salty Caramel latte with a slice of cheesecake busy but quickly served - Cheesecake was great, good portion size

Nice clean plesent and quiet place to relax and chat, selection of news papers avalibe to read while enjoying a quiet relaxed drink, good selection drink and food on offer, free WiFi for 2 hours unless have Costa points card, then unlimited but cards are avalibe on counter for free any way so win win in my view

Nice Costa ideally located for Newcastle Train Station. Looks nothing special outside but nice inside Usual Costa products, nice flat white

Costa Coffee Consistent as always

Simply one of my favourite coffee shops.

One of the few Costa's i've been in that doesn't have burnt tasting coffee. That's's the one thing that puts me off this chain. However as I said. This, to me, was a nice cup of coffee. Food a bit pricey though.

Had a lovely late lunch at Costa. Very pleasant staff and first class food.

Newcastle central train station/ We have came here every time we've came to newcastle and always got great customer service,it was 6.58 when we entered the costa shop on platform 2 to be told quite rudely that we close at 7pm we said we were only wanting one drink for take away and she said once again we close at 7pm to go across to platform 4 there still open. So we did gentleman working there was more friendly, we then came back in to the staiton at about 10pm to find the costa shop was still open and had a customer in it sitting haven a drink but we were told they shut at 7pm.

This visit was excellent but this is not always the case.Costa can be very inconsistent.

This costa coffee is pretty good. The coffee is alright but the brownies are delicious. Overall a good place.

Fast and efficient service, great tasting coffee and good value for money. Café was clean and tidy and there was a good range of snacks available plus outdoor seating for those brave enough to face the cold weather.

Top of Northumberland St, perfect coffee delivered by bright and happy staff, will definitely use this one more often as there's plenty room to move in here. Top marks from me

Usually really quite busy but seats upstairs. Generally good coffee but when busy sometimes less attention given.

Could do better. Tables messy and drink not very hot. Staff nice though.
