Brilliant coffee and great location. In particular love the decor and buzzy atmosphere. Always seem to get a seat too. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting high quality coffee in the city centre.

Great family get together for 7 of us for two special occasions. Ambience was great , we were met with a lovely welcome and same when we left. The food was superb , there was just one error with one of the steaks that had asked to be cooked more well than medium but was still pink in the middle..too late to send back but we thought this may have been reflected somehow in the bill when we mentioned it . Kieron was our server and was very attentive and polite and looked after us superbly. All in all a great lunch just disappointing that the mistake with the steak wasn't recognised. Even taking a dessert off would have helped....

100% Recommend! If you are in Newcastle and looking for breakfast I would definitely recommend you come to Quay Ingredient! The food and drinks are as amazing as the pub in the name! I had the vegan sausage and hash browns roll and my partner had poached eggs, both were honestly the best thing we have eaten whilst staying in Newcastle! Really good vegan/vegitarian options and the staff were so amazingly friendly and helpful (I especially loved the two Asian ladies who seemed to be running the show, they run a tight ship and are very good at it!). Thank you for one of the best breakfasts I've had! ❤️✨

I’ve lived in Newcastle 4 years now and this is one of my favourite cafes in town! So close to the university and very well priced! It’s the perfect place for a cosy lunch or coffee catchup. The food is so comforting and lovely. One of my friends doesn’t drink much coffee so it’s so fun to try out all their tea options- which are endless! During busy periods I would expect to queue for a bit, as you usually can’t book. The staff are mainly students and the food takes around 20 mins to come out. Would definitely recommend!

We were really looking forward to coming here after seeing the reviews on social media. They "have no chef" and so the Manageress had to step in and unfortunately the food was bland and very underwhelming! The staff were attentive but once we told them about our negative experience, nothing was suggested in terms of trying to make uo for this.
