Costa Coffee in Newcastle upon Tyne

For the love of god fix the aircon in here. The temperature is not safe for your hard-working staff.

We liked the coffee very much. Employees are also interested. A pleasant and comfortable place. The upper floor is quite spacious and you can spend time comfortably. It's a quiet place.

Costa coffee is very nice but, Nero's is a better blend and not as bitter.

ordered a carmel frappe today and tasted nothing as such like usual tasted like burnt coffe beans i was going to go try get my money back but didn’t want to embarrass the staff not happy won’t be coming agin.not even the carmel sauce was nice.

Highly Recommended!! The manager and staff are always very friendly and make excellent coffee and the sandwiches are delicious. Could do with some more power outlets for laptops downstairs, but other than that, this Costa is well worth a visit.

I visit this branch daily on my way to work and the staff are so lovely! The service is always great and there is a nice, welcoming atmosphere. It's great to sit in too, with seating upstairs and a warm, homely-feel decor. Overall, great store and even better staff!

Better than Northumberland street branch, but coffee is still weak. Otherwise alright, staff are happier in this branch.

The servers were Michelle Rory and Elliot the atmosphere was good and we had a laugh with the staff

Nice coffee, but I had been standing at the front of the queue / tills for about three minutes before anyone even spoke to me. Servers were kind and helpful once they took my order though! Just a bit busy…

Got location in the city centre and was well air-conditioned on a very warm day!

My favourite COSTA location in Newcastle city centre , opposite Theatre Royal. Great seating area upstairs with plenty space for single tables or larger groups. Always a good place for coffee n cake pitstop in town. Not Greggs!

Small sitting area downstairs upstairs is more open, however I'm surprised they don't have a drinks lift as its not really safe carrying hot and heavy drinks drinks upstairs is it?? Other than that coffee and food items are good

Kaffee und Gebäck waren wirklich gut. Nur der Mitarbeiter, der uns bedient hat war zwar oberflächlich freundlich, aber man hat ihm angemerkt, dass er etwas genervt war und hin und wieder seine Augen verdreht hat, als wir dann auch noch Bar bezahlen wollten. Darum ein Stern Abzug.

did, I order today in costa. the barista did not understand me with everything. 2 times made the wrong order. and it is not pleasant to sue.

Love the hot chocolate with cream, although its expensive this place has great views down grey street, arguable the best street in Newcastle. Sit here and watch the world go by whilst sipping your overpriced beverage.

Without a shadow of a doubt Grey Street is the most beautiful street in Newcastle ,the architecture that lines both sides of this street is stunning, while walking down here admiring the wonderful structures my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into this Costa Coffee ☕ and what a very pleasant time we had . The interior is superb, lovely decor and furnishings, a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer, there's some really good features throughout the interior and there's plenty of seating options, it's a very good place to unwind in. We were greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the bar team, we ordered a flat white coffee each, service was quick, our coffee's arrived steaming hot ♨️, we planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. I am a big fan of the coffee served in Costa Coffee, consistant in all their outlets, their flat white coffee is a particular favourite of mine. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to this particular Costa Coffee outlet we were totally impressed. This Costa Coffee outlet is easy to locate along Grey Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, 6am till 7.30pm. Sunday, 8.30am till 5.30pm. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Really enjoy here... Quiet at time I usually go, nice atmosphere quiet music in background. Nice chill drink and read book! Central location to shops. You never feel obligated to leave if you'd eaten up/drank up.

Nice staff even though the queue was quite long the staff did a great job dealing with the orders, and hey they didn't get mine wrong lol, the place is clean, good wifi ish and hey their toilets, I like costa coffee and the best thing they have coconut milk too.

By far my favourite COSTA outlet. Clean & tidy outlet with good COVID measures in place. It can get really busy but when it's quiet it's a lovely place to sit in and relax. Fabulous views from the windows. Nothing better than a bite to eat and a comforting drink whilst you watch the world go by in one of the most interesting, friendly and architecturally pleasing cities in the UK. The staff are amazing and remember all of the regulars. Quite often they have my drink on the go before I even enter the building. Fabulous service ☺️ I would certainly recommend you pop into this particular outlet if you're in the area and definitely recommend it to family and friends .....

Staff cheery and helpful - ordered 1 cake to share with my daughter and it was cut in half!! Toilets available for paying customers also. Plenty of handwash and handdrier. Place was immaculate.

It was actually a self service unit within a CO-OP city centre supermarket in Newcastle upon Tyne. V.good coffees, 25p cheaper per (large) latte, than in a regular Costa Coffee store.

Been a number of times. Coffee is really hit and miss. Quite frequently just warm and not hot and this is despite asking clearly for it to be "extra hot" still get it just warm - really difficult to understand. This Costa would benefit from a refit as it seems generally "well worn" and decor a bit tired. It is conveniently located but sometimes disappointing in terms of the coffee which is what it's all about.

C'mon Costa..... Newcastle City centre, Saturday morning visit and you have no croissants. Not for the first time either. Poor form, which was the attitude of the staff as well. It's letting your brand down.

It's alright. But a medium coffee is for me very huge Did like the discounted desserts. That's apparently a thing they do at the end of the day And upstairs very comfortable sofa 👍 (Glogger Guus on his world tour)

As with all chains this one is typical of the brand. Both staff were friendly and polite and served us efficiently. My Cappuccino was excellent, I have to say I generally don't think most of the baristas can make as good a coffee as you get out their machines but I stand corrected this time 👍👍

Great coffee with a wide variety of milk and flavourings to choose from. A bit noisy downstairs but upstairs is much quieter. It has toilets and wifi available.

I can always rely on Costa for a great latte. Also the mushroom and emmental sandwiches make a perfect breakfast.
