Made Deli in Newcastle upon Tyne

By far the best deli in town. Really tasty food, lots of options to select from, fast and polite service. Also, as a coffee addict who spends way too much money for good coffee, I strongly endorse their cappuccino.

Aside from just banging out top quality lunches for years and the lushest of staff, I had to leave a review for this basque cheesecake - it’s better than any I’ve ever had before, even in San Sebastián. Keep it up Made Deli x

Took a leap of faith on the sandwich of the day and wasn't disappointed - these folks know what they're doing! Most importantly it was a great atmosphere and everyone seemed to be happy working there, meaning your food is made with enthusiasm and a little bit of love 👌

We've been into Made a few times, the food has always been lovely and staff all so friendly. Today we tried ordering for delivery through their website for the first time and we will definitely be doing so again - sandwich and panini were absolutely delicious, price super reasonable and Made delivered themselves rather than using an external company which was really nice. We're both vegetarian and find the options really good and clear as to what is veggie and what isn't. So much choice for sandwich fillings so you can make your perfect sandwich, such a treat. Great service! :-)

Our office gets a daily delivery from Made Deli, and they're consistently great! There are so many choices that everyone is happy, the online ordering system is easy, and the food is always delivered on time and with a friendly face. The food itself is always lovely and fresh, and the homemade sausage rolls on a Thursday are insanely good! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend 👌

Freshly made sandwiches with wider choice of fillings cater for both veg/non veg. Staff are really lovely and attentive to the needs of customers. Can not find any negative to be honest.

The sandwiches here are absolutely superb, really generous with the fillings and really good value for money. It can get quite busy so I’d recommend putting an order in online beforehand which is super easy to do on their website

Absolutely love getting my sandwiches from here, not an issue with the food but massive issue with the staff, well one in particular. Whilst there are times I can attend and stand in the shop and and wait for my food, there are also times I’ve had to ring in the order and nip in to collect due to fibromyalgia amongst other things, which again never been an issue. Today, I call and I’m told they won’t take my order and they don’t take orders at lunch which is a lie as it’s never ever been an issue before. I don’t need explain my circumstances, I shouldn’t have to. Just be mindful that some of your customers have genuine reasoning for ringing orders and remember equality and diversity. Today, I’ve been prevented from getting a lunch I was really looking forward to.

I have lived near Made Deli for around 2 years and have only ever walked past it. The queues are usually very long at lunchtime and today I found out why. The sandwich I bought from them was unbelievably good. Every single ingredient in the sandwich tasted like a premium ingredient and you can tell they've spent a good amount of time sourcing the right stuff. The staff were quick and friendly too. I'll definitely be back to try more combinations. The pickles were out of this world though. Excellent.

Great local, deli sandwich shop with fresh bread, daily specials, amazing bakery and top staff. The place to go on the Quayside for excellent lunchtime food and drink. All freshly made to order with tasty snacks and drinks including barista coffee. Friendly crew, free book swap shelf, amazing homemade sausage rolls, tempting sweet treats and a fine array of small, green, plastic soldiers. Very highly recommended.

Great sandwich deli. Chicken, Chorizo, Garlic Mayo, Mango Chutney and Salad is a particular favourite. Had a flat white which was also really good. It does get busy at lunchtimes, but go before or after and there are usually no queues. The deli also usually has some nice looking savouries on offer for example today was a pork and pesto sausage roll. They also have a good selection of sweet treats, brownies etc. They stock a decent selection of drinks and crisps too. Parking isn't that easy near the Deli, but it's easy walking distance from central Newcastle.

I’ve been using this deli for a good few years now and I was very disappointed when I ordered my sandwich and then told after it was made that I would be charged 60p more than I usually pay if I’d known beforehand I wouldn’t have bothered especially when I can get the same sandwich for £3.50 from a van just up the road £5.10 is disgraceful and an absolute rip off , it’s safe to say I won’t be using again 😡😡😡

Would have a Panini and Breakfast Box every day more than happily!

January Healthy Salad had Hake, nuts, spinach, watercress - honestly the best boxed salad I've ever had. And they were playing LCD soundsystem. Win, Win.

My highlight of driving an hour to come into office is going to Made Deli! Absolutely beautiful wraps, the cakes are so fresh, really top quality ingredients. I tried making my own wrap at home (my regular of tuna, feta, basil pesto, lemon mayo, sunblush tomato and watercress, absolutely gorgeous btw 👌) anyway it just did not compare 🤣 I'm moving office and I'm devestated to have had my last lunch today! (Unless I'm ever in town of course). Really friendly staff too, keep up the good work!

The people at made deli are always welcoming and friendly. They have a huge list of sandwiches to choose from to be freshly made or you can make your own up. I don't work near made deli anymore but always get down when I'm near.

Although a little pricey, the food here is amazing. Breakfast wrap is one of the best I've tasted

Absolutely love the cous cous salad box.added tuna and feta. scrumptious. Massive variety and all fresh. A bunch of great friendly staff. Love it!

I'm obsessed with bread, as well as red onions and spinach. Of course, there's Onion Bhajji as well. Excellent vegetarian options at an affordable price.

If you have never tried @madedeli then you must. High quality food and coffees. The oat latte is wonderful. Youmust try both their quiche and sausage rolls, but everything is fresh and served efficiently with a smile.

Lovely deli, daughter moved to student accommodation over the road to this deli, nipped in to get sandwiches. I had the daily special in a wrap which was fantastic and daughter had the the tikka chicken panini very tasty too. Rocky road too which again was fab. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend and will visit again when through seeing my daughter.

Absolutely fabulous sandwiches and salads, second to none! I love the food from this place where everything is made to order. Some very nice treats for those with a sweet tooth also.

Visited this take-away recently by chance, and that proved a good decision. Freshly made and innovative sandwiches and cakes etc are available that taste great. Thoroughly recommended.

Made is one of the best places for lunch and breakfast I have found in the town. Simon clearly lives to cook and that is reflected in the quality and variety of what is on offer. Would not hesitate to recommend Made to anyone.

Good variety of sandwich fillings and very good quality. Plently of extra items to add for your lunch. Recommend the chicken tikka and onion bhaji sandwich with a veg samosa chaser. Good value also.

We use this weekly for our stuff meeting lunch, and are always impressed by the quality of the food provided. Fast and friendly service, the staff always look happy to be at work. Whilst not being the cheapest option for lunch, it is definitely worth the price, and I would certainly recommend made deli

Although they had an ample sandwich menu, my husband wanted a BLT. Not a problem. Made it to my specifications (which was not the regular run of the mill) with a smile and great service.

Perfectly baked baguettes outside of Paris are few and far between particularly in the North East…… my search continues. These guys struggled with a simple crayfish, crab with hot chilli combination. A half-baked stodgy baguette, watery frozen crayfish splattered with supermarket chilli from a jar, sluggish or slipshod?

If you like me find yourself in the same rut every day grabbing a quick bite from wherever is nearest then stop, make your way to made and have your socks knocked off by whatever you order, because it's all good. Follow them on twitter for their SOTD (Sandwich of the day) and stop putting up with soggy prepackaged food.

Great bunch, have always been there when the search for good food is on. I'd recommend these absolute majestic hard working people to anyone!

Poor quality and overpriced for the portions, usually get a jacket potato but fillings do not last for whole potato, last one I got was not cooked and went back, no apology and was given one that was like leather. If you dare to look or make a comment you get attitude. Better value places a short walk into town.

Nice variety of fresh items to chose for your salad or sandwich. No premade, prepackaged subs or salads, as everything seems made to order. Definitely worth trying, just allow a little extra time as some days they can be crowded. But well worth it.

From start to finish my experience in Made Deli was amazing. You are greeted with welcoming and friendly staff who can help you if you are too overcome with the impressive choices in front of you. Everythings freshly prepared and they have every filling you could dream of, not to mention what ever style of bread you are craving that day! They also do unreal salads, and tasty treats! Trust me you need to check this place out, I promise you that you will keep coming back!
