Went to a fantastic Portuguese wine event. 6 wines with accompanying food pairings. Food and wine were delicious. Lovely, knowledgeable staff and visiting wine expert. Very accommodating for me and my partner (one coeliac and one veggie)

We popped in to buy some cheeses and chutneys. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly in helping us choose what we wanted and giving us tasters of cheeses we weren't sure about. A very nice atmosphere.

This is a hugely attractive option to enjoy wine with a snack. The owners are amazing, knowledgeable, helpful and share a love of what they offer. It's not necessarily a venue for a hen or stag night but don't miss an opportunity to enjoy wine and meet people. Absolutely great, keep it up Girls, you're a credit to the industry.

Highly recommended wine bar The atmosphere, wines, tapas, and service are at exceptional. Booking is essential as it's heavily overbooked at weekends. We opted for the wine taster and olives - highly recommended

A brilliant gem of Gosforth..sample the wine flights

We called in to try and have one drink, however straight away we were told they were fully booked even though the place only had 4 people in. We even asked how long we were going to be staying etc, so we just ok and left, this is the second this has happened, and again we walked past the place 1 1/2 hours later and guess what the place was still empty. We Carruthers and Kent that's the last time we try and call in for a glass of wine after approx. 10 years. ....... bye

Whether I’m looking to cry into my wine, try to remember what my plans were (with a goldfish memory) or enjoying a glass or two with my wife, this is the best place in Newcastle for wine! All of the staff are friendly and know more about wine and cheese than I do about anything! An absolute favourite for us to introduce our family and friend to, there are few better places to enjoy wine this side of Italy.

Nice food, but that was about it! We were a group of 8 professional ladies from gosforth. We had pre booked for drinks and nibbles for 5.30pm. At 7.09pm we were told by one of the staff to keep the noise down as there were other customers we should consider! We naturally assumed someone had complained but it turned out they hadn’t. So if you’re looking for a good time and a giggle this is not the place for you. If you have the personality of a gold fish or like to sit miserable crying into your glass of wine surrounded by misery then this will be right up your street!

We know this venue well. Serves the finest selection of wine in the NEast, sharing platters and artisan goods. Sparkling Shiraz with local raspberry chocolate? Of course.....Even introduced to a decent Newcastle white. They were a bit off the pace on the night. Wine flights limited, few bottles requested in stock or chilled. Waitress less communicative than the norm But still, a lovely night, chilled vibe but just adjusting to the post pandemic maskless period. A must visit if you're in the area.

We bought some wine. The lady who served us was very patient and helpfull to a wine novice. Resulted in me buying some excellent wine at a reasonable price.

An interesting venue in Gosforth, one of Newcastle's upmarket suburbs. It is principally a shop selling quality wines to which has been added a menu of small plates. It is possible to put together a wine flight of three 50 or 100ml glasses (the wines change regularly) and sharing platters of cheese or charcuterie. This makes for a pleasant evening, though the noise of people enjoying themselves can make conversation challenging!

Exceptional knowledge and guidance on wine choices

The best place in Gosforth without a doubt. This little place is just so lovely, you are always welcomed. The food is very good. What can I say about the choice of wine, we’ll its outstanding. If you’ve never been I recommend giving it a try.

A truly amazing place. They sell magnificent wines with a wide selection and price range. To sit in the evening with wine and sharing platter or nibbles is so relaxing and tastes set the taste buds into ecstasy! Mo and Clare are so friendly and relaxed and consequently so are there guests. You may have guessed- I love the place!!

We were taken to C&K by friends who live in Gosforth and had a great evening. We weren't sure what to expect, but were charmed. We sat upstairs in lovely tasteful surroundings and had the wine flights and sharing food boards. Very civilised way to eat, drink and socialise. A nice, sophisticated evening. C&K closes at 9pm so ideal for an early start to an evening out.

What a hidden gem on Gosforth High Street! This place is incredible. The wine we tasted from the flyte tasting options were all divine so choosing a favourite was near on impossible. The atmosphere was super relaxed and offered background music which enabled you to chat comfortably. The staff were attentive without being fussy but offered a sound knowledge of the wines. We literally could have stayed there all night if it didn’t close at 9pm. Food is available with tasting platters etc which again looked impressive but unfortunately we didn’t get to try as we’d already eaten (apart from the olives we were served with our first drink), next time. A must visit!

An absolutely delightful evening of gorgeous wine in a wonderful, relaxed setting! A must visit for any wine lover who happens to have a babysitter for a few hours!
