I has been living in Portugal many years and I love Portuguese food and people because usually are friendly as was staff on this place. I was looking for a good coffee and I found a Portuguese coffee that was not cheap but great. After I eat a Full British breakfast that was correct. I miss bras cod, bife a Portuguesa and many dishes that I wish can taste here

Lovely fresh food, brilliant coffee, such friendly service. I tried speaking some of my Portuguese with the lady and she was very encouraging and friendly. I’m coming back later today for dinner. Sunday morning at time of arrival. Great place. Muito obrigado

Absolutely amazing service, and delicious food. I came in twice in the same week, and both times the staff were incredible and so kind. Perfect place for me to practice my Portuguese too as I am studying it at university! The food was really amazing too, and for £7.50 for a full vegetarian breakfast + drink, it is a fabulous deal. It is my favourite place to stop for breakfast, and also pop in for a sweet treat such as Pastel de Nata (which were amazing by the way)!! Muito obrigada to all the staff for my amazing experience!

Walked past this cafe on the way to a meeting. Came in for lunch afterwards. Very authentic atmosphere with modern minimalist design. Wonderful Custard Tarts but also other interesting Portuguese cafe-style dishes. Nice friendly service. Clean and competent.

Excellent service either sitting in or taking away. On this occasion I am picking up a take out order and the staff are always friendly and helpful. When sitting in for food and drink the staff are excellent the place is always spotless and service and time of the food coming out great.

Great little cafe and restaurant on Westgate road Went as a family, great coffee and delicious breakfast. Attentive, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend:)

I had the quinoa salad, it was good portion, loads of sliced olives, lots of different leaves, a little salt but still good. Also had a chorizo bread - oh my that was delicious, He had steak/egg/cheese on a ciabatta bun with a side of chips. He was happy. Both of us had coffees, which were good and very hot, which is pleasiing (too often it's served tepid). All served with a smile 1

Cannot complain about the premises and the staff, and the food is great, but many of the prices are too high for what they are selling and the amount being served. A Francesinha sandwich with fries is £15, as is a plate of bacalhau à bras. Other Portuguese snack dishes are pushing £10, with relatively small servings. Disproportionate when you look at many good restaurants in the city, and I don't mean chains. It is the only put off to return to this café, unless prices drop or portions increase to match the price. Generally, just lower the prices a bit!

A great place to grab a bite to eat or a quick coffee. Very attentive staff and decorated beautifully. Food is very delicious and a wide range of choice. Very clean cafe and a lovely place to visit.

Visited today for the first time today after passing it quiet a few times. The lady behind the counter was lovely and cannot be faulted. The food however was far from what the peice band was. The Chicken Sandwich comes in at £6.75. It consisted of what appeared to be a Tesco breadbun, two bits of iceberg lettuce, garlic mayo and very low quality fried chicken. For that price, that was it. Overpriced low quality food. Simple as

Very tasty and authentic homemade Portuguese food from savouries, to pastries, to traditional dishes. Staff was very professional, especially the waitress who was very nice and kind all times. They also have excellent Portuguese coffee and a variety of soft drinks. Will definitely come back!

Just called in today with grandson and wife after visiting the Discovery Museum. Very clean, bright, and modern. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Only had drinks and cakes but all excellent. Nato's were especially delicious and so fresh too. Not overly expensive. Pity we had already had lunch but there is always the next time we visit Newcastle. I would certainly recommend it even if it may be a bit out of your way.

Visited last weekend with my daughter who has moved nearby. Really lovely cafe. Spotlessly clean,nice menu and the staff was lovely too. Service was quick,was a good start to the day. Daughter will be back !
