Definitivamente volveremos.

We ordered a buffet from The Wicker Chair for our work Christmas party and it was fantastic!!! It was delivered to our building on time, so saved us the hassle of having to pick it up. There was lots of variety and it was all really tasty and not a single thing was left over!! Staff are so helpful and happy to cater to meet requirements! Will definitely use again!

Someone has obviously spent a lot of time decorating this place. We were the only customers when we went in, which usually is not a good sign and unfortunately on this occasion the indication was correct. The two ladies behind the counter were talking to each other about pasta dishes whilst we were awaiting the order and we foolishly thought that this was a good indication of what was to come. We had the panini cheese and ham specials, minus the wedges which they had run out of, they offered crisps which were declined but did offer salad instead of the coleslaw, and when asked said it did not include onion, which when it arrived included onion. The paninis were hard and not what was expected, it may be run by a charity but not the standard that was expected and definitely not somewhere I would go back to.

Visited for the first time today and I was impressed with the quality and price of the food we had, looking forward to "gypsy bread, crispy bacon and maple syrup" unfortunately there was no maple syrup left but the eggy bread and bacon was delicious (they reduced the price for the lack of maple syrup) followed by fruit scone, butter and jam and an excellent Ringtons cappuccino. Will definitely be back. The only thing I would change/alter would be better signage maybe bigger writing or a bolder colour on Stamfordham Road.

We found this by chance after dropping some books off at the charity depot within the same complex. What a wonderful place, staff are very friendly and helpful, we had tea, a cappuccino and myself a slice of orange cake. Delightful place we will visit again.

Just returned from a visit to the wicker chair and it was a good breakfast. The service was great too. The cafe is run by a charity and is on the site of the palatine beds factory on stamfordham road and has been there since 2014. The interior is well decorated and spotless. I had the full English and a pot of ringtons tea for £4.99 although this was a special on a Saturday it's normally a bit more but not much. Can't recommend enough, there is also a hand carwash there so you can have the car washed or Valeted while you relax and eat and drink only thing it could do with is some more signs on stamfordham road to advertise as I never knew it was there.

Found this little gem on our visit to Newcastle. Lovely shabby chic interior, bright and airy, so don't be deceived by the industrial outside! Fantastic full english breakfast, which as it was Saturday was £4.99 including a pot of tea. Beautifully cooked quality food with lots of flavor. Friendly staff &loved the fact that this cafe is run by a charity to help people find work.

Visited for quick lunch break of ,50mins , there was 12 people placed there orders , moslty soup, paninini , quiche and salad , staff seemed very harrassed, I had panini which was OK but some people's orders were coming out incorrect and some were just given their meals when lunch break was almost over. Would I return ? Possibly not

Great place to catch up with friends if you don't want top go to town, lovely coffee and food is all home made. I like the shabby chic deco as well created (apparently) by the staff themselves. With free car park just outside is all you need for an afternoon cuppa ;)

Pretty little cafe that I was not expecting to find within the Palatine Beds site, when I visited the charity shop there! I was won over by the shabby chic deco, created apparently by the staff themselves using second hand items from charity shops. I love re-using and re-newing things myself so that felt like home! And teh overall environment was very cosy and homely with the staff being very friendly and chatty to us. We had the full english breakfast, which was very big, -double everything pretty much- and tasty, and the mexican melt panini, which was also very tasty. The cakes looked very nice, but we were too full to try them! But I am glad I found this place and will definitely be coming back!

Met a friend for afternoon coffee and was treated to a fantastic experience in relaxing, friendly surroundings. The bistro is light and airy with a 'shabby chic' feel. My coffee was excellent and we sat in their little snug area on wing backed chairs. The scones in their cabinet looked amazing and they are home made onsite...I'll definitely be trying one next time I'm in!! Highly recommend supporting a charitable venture and will be returning.

Nice enough bar but the gents' toilets were out of order. Had to use the disabled loo, which was in a shoddy state and not really fit for purpose. It's fine to invest in a means to fill people up with liquids, but please also invest in the facilities to dispose of them.

Had a lovely time at the sister version of Aidan’s Kitchen in north Jesmond. The food was the same menu and delicious! There were many tempting cake options too… Service was good and a chatty atmosphere. The devote was fun but a little tired. It didn’t however take away from the fabulous menu! Defo worth a trip if you’re not near the Sandyford cafe!

Carruthers and Kent created a cheese tower for wedding and we couldn't recommend them highly enough! We wanted to find someone local who could make the 'cake', and having visited C+K for wine and cheese/charcuterie boards many times previously, they were an easy choice. We had a lovely tasting appointment to decide on the cheeses and were given many many options. The collection process was smooth, and all the guests commented on how delicious the cheeses had been! Thank you so much for everything!
