First time me and my man tried this place,we walked in staff were amazing the atmosphere was fire and the wait time for food was quite quick .. That's where things went wrong, we ordered the 2 for 12.99 because who doesn't love a bargain... there is a bargain and then there is getting ripped a new one. I ordered chicken katsu and my man ordered bangers and mash, I dont know what I was expecting but it weren't what we got, the katsu chicken is NOT katsu chicken it's chicken goujon with chip shop curry sauce slathered everywhere which looked more like (forgive me) diarrhea on a plate with microwave rice and barely cooked chips I had 3 bites and left it there and then, my man came off worse with a child size portion on a plate with a "jug" (tiny gravy boat) of gravy. First and last time here, which is a shame cos like I said the place was lush the food let you down. P.s .. all my man keeps says is a 10a for 2 drinks!

Lots of choices of cake, pastries , pasties , sausage rolls, breakfast options , tea, coffee , hot and cold food. I remember the day this place opened. The only down side is that the place is not really disability friendly, it is very loud, crowded which can be overwhelming. May I suggest doing some quiet time for those who struggle with this. I'm sure you will still get frequent business!

Visited at 5.40 and ordered a coffee, Staff were less than enthusiastic. Clearly two guys serving didn’t get on and we’re arguing at the counter. All in all it took another member if staff to join them to sort out my small order. This took 17 mins! Another guy ordered a toasted sandwich. It was cooked then left on the side. Item was cold by the time staff realised it hadn’t been given out. The staff really need sorting out. This truly was an appalling experience. C’mon Costa sort your staff out.

I’ve never been to the shop but always get cheesecakes from the quayside market on a Sunday. I’m vegan and gluten intolerant and the vegan, no gluten cheesecakes are incredible! Such a good range and just so lush! Couldn’t recommend more.

My little niece and nephew loved playing with the toys available. The cheese and onion scone was lovely. It is clearly a very dog friendly place but I think there should be a notice to advise dog owners to ensure their dogs behave in the cafe. When we walked to a table there was a lady with two dogs both barking and snarling at us and pulling on their leads as we passed them which really frightened my little niece and nephew and myself. The dog owner didn’t seem to care and didn’t do anything about the dogs awful behaviour.

Had been once before and it was nice. Ordered toastie instead got sandwiches which were made on thin white bread with cheese that was tasteless. Poor quality ingredients. The price list stated £2.20 for tea but charged an additional 50p for being in a pot. For nearly £6 it was very poor value. Place itself is very nice and quite quirky which I like just the food on this occasion did not match up.

The various major food websites are getting greedier than ever. I would therefore recommend that you download the Saleems app and order on that. For what we had, the difference in price was between £7 - £8 less. It actually made the difference between placing the order or not. My wife had Tikka Chicken Dopiaza with Garlic Pilau rice, whilst I had Tikka Chicken Punjabi with Onion Fried rice. Both meals were delicious and nicely spiced. The rice portion was in the same sized carton as the curry and one portion would probably be enough for two, unless you are very hungry. The chicken was tender and there was lots of it, so worth the money. We shared a Peshwari naan which was equally tasty.
