Valley farm in Gateshead

Popped in for a Birthday Breakfast. Food was excellent and staff were very attentive. Nice clean restaurant. Well worth the money. Thank You.

Myself and my partner came for breakfast at Valley Farm this morning at around 10am. It was brilliant from start to finish and we felt very welcomed by Kieron & Ashley. The food was hot, drinks lovely and the service even better. Highly recommend & we will be back.

Was an amazing atmosphere from the staff and the food was absolutely amazing would recommend to everyone!! Carvery best in north east

Fantastic food once again at Valley Farm. Great service and the staff are always welcoming. Perfect family atmosphere, will be back again next week. Diane is always very friendly and looks after us.

The food is amazing we always enjoy it and unlike other vally farms they allow u to have ure Yorkshire puddings on a separate plate (when u know u know ) . Diane was lovely checked to make sure we were happy with our room and made us feel very welcome . Service at the till is abit slow if your wanting a dessert but worth the wait

Great pub great food Kelly served us lovely lady 5 stars plus, portions are huge and staff welcoming can not do enough for there customers.

Fabulous carvery as always, lots of selection of vegetables and the best gravy ever. Staff are wonderful, polite and so helpful. Well recommended. Will be back soon.

we go most weeks with the little ones so we can have breakfast and the little ones can play in the play area Ashley always looks after us and today (12th sept) the food seemed to be of a different quality it was hot fresh and really enjoyable and Ashley got us some scrambled eggs which were cooked perfectly

It was my daughter’s 18th birthday which we had organised a BBQ but because of the British weather we booked a table for 15 which included small children here last minute. The staff were unbelievable from the time we arrived till we left, everything was no problem with organising to bring the cake out for my daughter and offering plates and a knife to cut it. One of our party fell outside which staff helped with an ice pack and also sorted the birthday cake in the kitchen as it had been dropped. I didn’t get any names but everyone we came into contact with was so friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble We couldn’t of wished for a better experience

I am pleased for this marvellous lunch standard plate, carvery with different meats as pork, beef and turkey roasted well cooked and soft accompanied with some roasted potatoes parnish, carrot, peas, brócoli, mash potato and also gravi, Yorkshire pudding studling. I am happy with drinks and coffee this time I had enjoyed a lot. Many thanks to Mayensi that has attend us so kindly.

Although booking was made 2 days before, there was no table reserved. Order was placed at the bar with table number at he same time for 6 family members, yet one family member was served his meal 15 mins before the rest and was almost finished by the time the rest were served. Food was good, Mayensi the waitress was friendly and welcoming The place itself was a bit tired looking, some of the leather and fabric seating was in need of replacement. Our seats were very worn, torn and probably a health and safety issue. We visit Oak Tree Farm in Sunderland regularly and there is no comparison, maybe Oaktree Farm is newer. I have to say its definitely better .The only reason we visited Valley Farm was to meet up with family who live in that area. Sorry for the negative feedback, from a disappointed family.

Booked 2 days in advance, expecting it to be really busy. Table of 4, myself, my wife, son of 14 and mother of 91. Seated immediately close to a window. Table was clean and prepared with reserved sign on. Ordered and paid for using the greene king app, very easy. 2 x carvery, 1 x chicken and bacon salad and 1 x all day breakfast. Hannah, our waitress was a star and nothing could be too much trouble, carrying my mams carvery plate whilst I aided her walking. The portions were huge, 3 choices of meat and immense options of veg. The food was really tasty. Downside, we didn't leave room for the amazing dessert selection (photo) although my son did order one to bring home. Not surprising people staying at Premier inn next door visit. We will be back - thanks

We always get together every fortnight, a group of friends coming together, we are always taken care of, and nothing is a problem for Suzanne or her staff, more gin glasses needed though please 🙂🍹

First time here, love the decor,staff very friendly and helpful, place is spotless. 2 of us had the carvery, turkey and gammon was very tender, plenty of veg and huge Yorkshire pudding, very tasty. Visited for Sunday lunch at 2.30pm 24th March. Never been before. Booked table and quickly shown to it. But no explanation of what to do. After a few minutes and no sign of a server I asked the lady on reception duties and she explained the procedure. Served almost immediately at the bar by pleasant server. Got our tickets for the Carvery and joined the queue. Busy place. Got to the server and that’s when I downgrade this review to 3 stars. I had beef and pork. My wife gammon and pork. The server must have trained as a surgeon because the slivers of meat on our plates were almost transparent. One sliver of each meat and move along. A huge Yorkshire pudding and an array of veg was fine and very tasty continually being refreshed and filled. Had we been given anything like an adequate serving of meats I would not have complained. But we weren’t and we felt ripped off and will not return.

A great atmosphere and place to eat. A play area for children. It does get very busy on a Sunday therefore I'd recommend booking then and breakfast finishes at 11.

Carvery was lovely. Plenty of choice and fresh. Turnip was a little watery but still nice. Would definitely come again!

Great family venue for food a soft play for 2-5 year olds with coin machines for prizes and games. Carvery was lovely all the meats were delicious huge playes of food to fill up. Our kids love thos place and when ever we as them where we should have lunch its always greeted with a loud shout "VALLEY FARM!!"

This a nice place. The food was good and fairly hot for a carvery. Nice service from Dean I would recommend this place for good food at a reasonable cost. If there is a moan, it would be the horrible music. It was far too loud. Music in a place like this should be relaxing background music. Not loud in your face garbage.

Valley farm has quickly become one of our favourite places to eat since moving to Gateshead. Staff friendly, food excellent, service quick and priced reasonably with good portions. Plenty of choice on the carvery and puddings are yummy. Highly recommend.

Came for lunch today with my sister, we chose the Carvery. Nathan was a brilliant help while serving us, an amazing asset to the valley farm team. The meats were delicious, especially the skin 👊

This was our first time here and although we are from Scotland I am sure it won't be out last the staff are all excellent and very friendly we arrived at 19:20 and the staff were as friendly as if it had just opened your staff are an asset! The food was good and great value

Staying at the Premier Inn next to this pub we made this our place to eat. The food was nothing short of excellent! Buffet breakfast was great, plenty to eat without worry. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Would I recommend?....Absolutely!
