Very good place for food and drink and nicely decorated

It was a Christmas meal out for myself and 5 friends. Food was fantastic only one of our party had a starter Prawn cocktail. All had mains 4 had Turkey and all the trimmings.2 had steak. All food was very tasty, hot and well presented. Puddings Cheese cake , Apple and blackberry crumble , Xmas pudding served with custard were amazing desserts. Lovely service from Collette Aspinall she couldn't do enough. Bar was very busy so staff were busy but this didn't have any effect on the service to us

All the staff were great and helped to create a nice vibe when we went in on Wed 6th Dec. Really impressed with the quality and value of the kids menu and it was great to see they are a dog friendly pub. Already planned another visit with the Mrs and Pup.

A large popular pub in the Low Fell area of Gateshead open daily from 11am serving food from noon to 9pm It was very quiet when I visited at 11 15 am but soon filled up The menu features a seniors special on Weekdays which is popular too Staff were friendly and it can be very busy at weekends with outside seating Good value

Give the Beaconsfield a visit when in the Gateshead area! Nice bar, and great beers. There was a real ale festival on and the bar was participating in a loyalty card offer - who doesn't like a free beer after purchasing a few?? The service was very good, despite unexpected staff sickness leaving the server working on her own in a fairly busy afternoon.

Went in on Saturday night for the rugby with my pals and the atmosphere was brilliant definitely helped by the team Tony, Harry and Aidan who were behind the bar ! beer was spot on and our burgers were both beautiful cheers !

Afternoon drinks. Small selection of ales, decent range of drinks, food was lovely. Staff friendly and attentive.

Cracking atmosphere, service is always fast even on the busiest days, Aidan is an absolute legend with the best crack, always up for a laugh. Even crafted us some random drinks and they weren’t half bad to be quite frank.

I don't often like any Pubs in Gateshead but this Low Fell one is a diamond. Food great and excellent value for Money. Staff kind and polite. Not been yem in a while but definitely coming back on my next visit.

Attended today about 1.45 waited a good 5 minutes before I was served as there was no member of staff behind bar. When barperson turned up no offer of apology. While I was in tha bar a further person attended and then left as there was no member of staff serving. Room was also cold so left after 1 drink. Beer was fine.

I absolutely love visiting the pub/restaurant situated atop Lowfell. The menu is incredibly diverse, allowing for something for everyone. I'm always impressed by the level of service provided by the staff, as they are always courteous and attentive. I'm also a huge fan of the pints they offer, with a sizable selection of spirits to choose from. Whenever I come here with my girlfriend, it's always a pleasant experience and I'm always happy to return.

Early starting week so quite quiet

I have been coming to this pub over the last year and the development this pub has had is incredible. The lovely Collete has always welcomed myself and my mates into the pub since the first day! There is a lot to offer at this pub during the week from a pub quiz on the Thursday which is expertly delivered by Owen and Aidan to the football being shown most days. Since I have been coming, it has gone under new management and I cannot compliment Ant enough for what he has done to improve this pub even more! The food is always unreal (especially the chicken mix) and the great customer service you receive is one of the best. Harry on the bar will get to know you and will remember the little things that you like, 100% a great member of the team!

Fancied a relaxed Sunday lunch after a busy morning, I gave the Beaconsfield a quick call and was told they allow dogs in. I Walked down and found it not as busy as I expected the barman said it normally got busier later. I was more than happy it wasn’t too busy the atmosphere was just right for a relaxed Sunday afternoon a few friendly people in, the back ground music not too loud so you can chat with ease and sports on the TVs to watch. My beef Sunday dinner arrived in a reasonable time it was lovely, hot, full of flavour and more than enough to fill me up and I was very hungry on arrival. The barmaid came over at one point and mentioned there was free dog treats on the bar and asked if my dog would like some she then brought a cup full over for my dog and asked if my dog would like water and brought a bowl of water to. I was blown away by this, the likes of Wetherspoon’s have a blanket policy that dogs are not allowed I disagree with this and so won’t use Wetherspoon’s even without my dog. The exceptional dog friendly environment at the Beaconsfield made me make note that it is a Green King pub and I will actively look out for their pubs where ever I am in future. A big thank you to both staff working who were very professional and friendly. .

After a menu change which offers less items, the build your burger is way overpriced, as is the entire menu is set out per per item in or on your meals, use to good variety and great prices, accepted costs have risen, but won't be back unless for a quick pint

Absolutely love this pub. Staff are so friendly and atmosphere has been great for Christmas and the football! Food has dramatically improved. Collette did a great job with breakfast with Santa and Ant has made the pub one of the best on the fell again. Shout out to Shannon, Faye and Martin too always happy to help.

My first experience in this establishment wasn't very favourite however I was told it was now under new management so we decided on a further visit. Sorry to say this visit wasn't any improvement on my previous one. We were a company of 18 who had all pre selected our meals. Most of us opted for the christmas dinner. When it eventually was served the brussel sprouts were like cannon balls and roast potatoes tasted as though they were frozen and certain didn't taste like roasties. Sorry to say I won't be returning. I did feel sorry for the waitresses as they were very pleasant and helpful under difficult circumstances - the main problem was they were under staffed although they were aware of the amount in our party

Loads going on here !! Christmas fayres, Christmas day meals, all the world cup on tv and food is always top notch !!!! Always give this place 10/10

We attended on Sunday to watch the Newcastle match. It was extremely busy but the staff couldn’t do enough to find us a little table for 2 where we could see a telly. We had food which was absolutely lovely and we didn’t have to wait long at all. All staff worked extremely hard and you were never waiting long to be served at the bar. The beer garden was so busy with the nice weather as well but the empties were collected quickly. Will definitely be back in this Wednesday to watch the Newcastle game again.

Had a great night out, bar staff helped pick a great bottle of wine and pitcher of cocktail as well as some picky bits from the menu for our group of 10 to snack on

Been here numerous times over the years. Recently came in for a catch up with the girls And some food. Cocktails were fabulous served by a delightful member of staff (tall with point tail and ear piercings) who was pleasant and really knowledgeable on the offers. We also had lunch which was lovely. Overall one again a great visit. Cheers

What a nice pub we really enjoyed it in there

Just visited for lunch. I only wanted a jacket potato and a cup of tea. Couldn't get either as there was no cheese and they were unable to get hot water for the tea. My husband wanted a real ale and there was only one on but it wasn't on the till so the bar person said they couldn't sell it. Changed our food order and when my husband tried to use the AA voucher code it added the discount on instead of taking it off. Decided to leave but went to the loo before we left and surprise, surprise there was no loo roll there either. Ultimately a disaster

What a lovely little pub. Just off main road in Low Fell. Staff nice and helpful. Very clean and reasonably priced for drinks. Just been taken over by new management and you can tell the difference. Well worth a visit

We were a group of 6 oldies visited last week for coffee and drinks. Some of us not the best at carrying drinks and some have walking problems. Nice to be let out for the day!! Without asking Martin said he would bring the drinks...

Lovely looking little pub. Lots of sport on multiple screens. Came to watch Champions League football and the atmosphere was fantastic. Food and beer were nice. Shannon on the bar was a great little character and very friendly.

Came with a few mates to watch the newcastle match, great atmosphere and could see a TV from anywhere in the pub. We all had some snacks and couldn’t fault the price so great value. Would recommend for everyone to try!

We decided as a light lunch that we would opt for the roast potatoes with gravy for £1.49, however it was unavailable, find that most peculiar as the Sunday lunches used them ingredients
