My little niece and nephew loved playing with the toys available. The cheese and onion scone was lovely. It is clearly a very dog friendly place but I think there should be a notice to advise dog owners to ensure their dogs behave in the cafe. When we walked to a table there was a lady with two dogs both barking and snarling at us and pulling on their leads as we passed them which really frightened my little niece and nephew and myself. The dog owner didn’t seem to care and didn’t do anything about the dogs awful behaviour.

Its very "rustic" and a bit to dog friendly for my taste. The coffee was good, and the sausage baps tasty but rather small. Prices I thought a little steep for the environment. We would go back as theres nowhere else nearby for food.

Initially thought it looked good for kids as plenty of toys and room. However after the very loud comment about the scrambled egg on the floor from my 2 toddlers and disapproving looks I can’t say I’ll be rushing back. There are baby changing facilities however the staff don’t like dirty nappies in the bin and state they haven’t got facilities for this?? So although it looks child friendly they obviously don’t like them much! Good place to take your dog though they obviously prefer them.

My dog Ollie drags us here after each lovely woodland walk. The most dog friendly place in miles but also set up for kids - with reading books, toys and games. Plenty of room to spread out. Staff always friendly and food cooked to order. Bake trays and scones beautiful - and I think they’re home made too! Ollie especially enjoys the dog sausage and natural treats they sell. They support local animal charities too - so kind. Outside eating area for dry days - handy when it’s busier at the weekend. Love this place!

I'm so sorry to have to leave a poor review to a small business but I think the model needs to change to try and cater for everyone. We were really looking forward to visiting at the end of our walk for a hot drink and a slice of cake but unfortunately when we walked in we couldn't get moved for dogs (literally would have had to step over them it was so rammed). Some tables had 4 large dogs and it just didn't feel like a nice, clean place to visit (should also say we love dogs but it felt really crammed). I don't know whether it would be useful to have a limit to 2 dogs per table and otherwise you sit outside? Then families, children and the like can visit. It might be we visited on a really bad day but we ordered 2 drinks to go (very nice) and left. We will try again in the future and see if it was just the time we went.

Oh dear, where do you start? Service poor, more interested in chatting to there friends. A weak latte served in a builders metal mug! ( never Pumphreys coffee). Sat outside where the stench from the sewers / bins was so bad. To cap it off having to move so that the bins could be wheeled through the seating area to be emptied. Won’t be back.

This cafe is amazing for dogs and their humans. The choice of food for both is brilliant. We got kangaroo sticks, lamb tails, doggy ice cream for the fur babies and coffee and scones for us. ( homemade cakes looked amazing, especially the cream egg one) The lady serving was absolutely lovely and told me they are going to open dog agility classes up at the back of the cafe. There was liver cake, homemade dog biscuits and more for the pups, can’t believe how well it caters for dogs as well as us. Will definitely go back. Even has a sniffy wall for the dogs. It’s the perfect place to start or finish your walk at watergate forest park.

We had been for a walk around the park and called in for a coffee. However, spotted the sausage baps and ordered one each. The food and coffee was brought over to us and the food was delicious. Several dogs in the cafe and it was lovely to stroke them and chat to their owners. This is going to be a regular drop in for us.

I have been twice to the cafe over the last week. On the plus side the cafe is dog friendly and is clean and tidy. On the down side I found the decor uninspiring, but that's probably just me. To be honest I didn't feel welcomed by the staff and they were verging on the surly. The food was ok - certainly better than I had recently at Morrison's cafe but still only average and slow to arrive. All in all this venue has great potential in its' location but needs to lift its' game.

I had no idea this place existed but after walking the dog and following various strangers carrying coffee cups I was pleased to find it and even more pleased that it was dog friendly. More than dog friendly really with just as much tasty goods on sale for dogs. Lovely coffee and the biggest scone I’ve ever seen! It tasted amazing and I can’t wait to call back in to sample more of the menu. Really safe and clean take away system as well.

Popped in for a light snack while out for a walk. Very helpful and friendly waitress. A couple of tables were outside and right in the sunshine. Good choice of toasties, hot and cold sandwiches, scones and cakes. We both opted for a cheese scone and they were lovely. Husband was very impressed with the coffee. Great stop off when at Watergate Forest Park.

Visited for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. The staff were lovely and very friendly. There was a free Christmas craft club on for the little ones. We made a Santa face after reading “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”. The cakes looked delicious- there are on the list to try next time! There are lots of toys for the kids to play with too.

Perfect place to have a cup of tea and having a rest after walking you dog(s) on the adjoining (often muddy) park but wouldn't recommend for afternoon tea. Cup of tea and scone was OK!

Some people have knocked place but we thought it very good for a small cafe at the end of a walk. It's dog friendly, has a selection of cakes and sweets plus the coffee is good and it comes in mugs not poncy little cups. Oh and the staff did smile.

My friend and I have visited twice here recently and coffee, homemade fayre and staff are lovely! We always enjoy a walk around the park afterwards. The cafe has lots of little toys, books and information for young children and parents to take advantage of and the park is ideal for dog walks. Must praise the staff in particular. Very welcoming and pleasant.

Visited at 5.40 and ordered a coffee, Staff were less than enthusiastic. Clearly two guys serving didn’t get on and we’re arguing at the counter. All in all it took another member if staff to join them to sort out my small order. This took 17 mins! Another guy ordered a toasted sandwich. It was cooked then left on the side. Item was cold by the time staff realised it hadn’t been given out. The staff really need sorting out. This truly was an appalling experience. C’mon Costa sort your staff out.
