New lease holders only been in for 8-9weeks.Friendly staff, spot on pint, just starting to do food on Friday 12-7, Sat 12-7, Sun 12-5.Give it a try , it will only get better.

Although we went midweek in the pub was empty the bar staff were lovely very chatty and helpful enjoyed our visit

Both me and mum been now a few times and every time the food just gets better and better. Enthusiastic and kind robbies a great host. Clean professional and simply a great place for families to eat or just grab a quiet drink. A credit to the community. Well done all!!!

Recently moved to the area- popped in for Sunday lunch- lamb dinner- HUGE plateful of food - huge home cooked Yorkshire- Just what you need- couldn’t finish it all- just like your mams/grans home cooked Sunday dinners.

Not well managed. Closes before closing time so you never know if they're open, and another day we came for Sunday roast around 2pm and they'd ran out of food.

Nice friendly place , opening hours very erratic

Went in not knowing what to expect we were asked for my name and phone number found a table where we sat all night. We had table service, the staff were friendly and we never had to wait long for our drinks,we had a lovely evening with friends.

The takeaway Sunday lunch was delivered in one hour ( as told the phone), by a pleasant and polite delivery driver. The lunch itself was a bit of a let down. It comes in one of the thin polystyrene containers and not very warm. The lunch consists of 2 slices of beef, 1 roastie, 1 parsnip, 1 piece of cauliflower, 1 piece of broccoli, a spoonful of mash, a rather soggy Yorkshire pudding and some gravy. For nearly £9 each I don’t think we’ll be trying the takeaway again. Maybe we had an off day but all 3 of us said we wouldn’t have another.

Keeps changing hands but the current manager is making an effort to attract customers. Good food and a very friendly pub Spaniel called Meg!

Didn't eat so can't comment...but draught beer was very cheap. Not keen on music coming into seating area outside.

Lovely food, nice decor. Worth a visit

Unorganized for Mother's Day. TV very loud. Poor kids waiting on were untrained. Plates and mashed potatoes were cold. Roast beef was like shoe leather and Yorkshire pudding was cold and rubbery. Meals during the week are good. Think they just took too much on for Mother's Day.

Visited today waitress was miserable and food was very bland could make better at home wont visit again for food might for a drink if it gets busy on a night time shame because it's a nice sized pub/restaurant.

Visited today, the food was lovely, got the chicken parmo with chunky chips, highly recommend, the chef is great and the owners are really nice and welcoming, overall is a great place and WILL be going back.

Good friendly pub but no real ale just factory beers good band on the night I visited called frogs. The lambs arms down the road has real ales downside was karaoke

Call in for food and a drink Wednesday afternoon . Music was blasting so went up to the top part of pub as it was quiet A schoolboy, 7 or 8 came up to the place we were sitting blasting his phone listening to a you tube fight. Found it unacceptable. Nachos were bland but my fiancees food was ok. Maybe next time we'll call in while kids are still in school!

Had a lovely meal here. We were a party of 25 people and everyone enjoyed their meal. We were all served promptly and all the food was hot and delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly . I would recommend this place anytime.

I used to live right opposite this pub and restaurant so it was certainly convenient! However, it was often really cold in there. Furniture was quite lived-in but maybe that has improved now. Food was always decent. Drinks were often unavailable. It seemed like the heating and range of alcohol was never on at the same time. Staff friendly but high turnover. Not much atmosphere but there are other places close by, perhaps taking more business.

Very nice evening. I had mushroom spup with warm bread and my friend had piri piri chicken, she thoroughly enjoyed it and the food was nicely presented. We finished our meal with a floral tea which was really refreshing. Very pleasant young man served us and atmosphere was lovely. Will definitely visit again.

What a lovely pub, excellent barman who was on duty - very friendly, attentive & great customer service. The pub itself is very clean, the refurb job is top notch, the menu had a fab choices & huge portoins when the food arrived. The outdoor garden space is clean, well laid out & very functionable & the whole plac ejust has a geneeral great friendly atmosphere - Well Done!! for catering for Local People In a Local Pub!!

Recently refurbished and now looks much nicer than it ever has done. Sunday lunch is ok but nothing to rave about and here's a few negatives. The Yorkshire puddings are bought in and are cheap airiated in a factory type ( light and crispy texture but no actual filling to them, sort of dissolve in your mouth). We got 3 very thin slices of beef but most disappointing was the veg. Wether there's 4 of you or 2 you get the same size dish . For four people you get one piece of broccoli each, one piece of cauliflower , carrots ( not enough) a small dish of mashed potatoe , and strangely you get a small dish of mushy peas instead of garden peas. Although each plate does have a couple of roasties on as well. On the plus side you do get extra gravy without even asking. The staff are good, they've become more attentive and ask if you'd like more drinks etc. The food was served up quite quickly as are puddings. It's a shame the yorkshires aren't home made, and maybe should ask if you'd like any more veg as all four of us would have said" yes please ".

This pub has recently been taken over and completely refurbished and I'm not talking about a cats lick, I'm talking about everything including the toilets and all the furniture. The food is great, really good value, there are bands on every week, the beer is good and the staff are really friendly

Fantastic place, food was awsome staff where lovely even offered Frank our puppy a water bowl. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

The appearance of the bar was very nice but staff were not. It took 4 times to order food as waitress did not know meals were out of stock. While waiting for the missing meals to be sorted the remainder obviously Sat on gantry as the blue steak could have chocked a donkey. At no point were we told of the wait for food. This would have prevented the anticipation of when food would eventually turn up (1 hour 20mins) not an apology for the delay or missing food. Won't be going again

Newly refurbished, and under new management, with an excellent kitchen, a great menu, and lovely friendly atmosphere.

In dire need of a refurb. Seating is pretty bad!
