Gateshead Arms in Gateshead

Bit of a late review as recently joined. Went on my mates stag do. Great atmosphere, but cant really remember much. What I do remember, was good. Its a nice place for starting your evening.

Been bouncing around the beer garden for the last 4 hours with some New Monkey sets blasting through my brand new £2.50 Sony headphones. The staff have kindly been bringing out glasses of water and shots of sambuca to make sure I don’t get too dehydrated, the party never stops at the gidda gidda gateshead arms, you say Gateshead I say arms, gateshead…arms yes yes Brocolli chest

Bar women refused to serves us, and claimed the drinking policy was over 21. TERRIBLE DO NOT VISIT. Made to feel like a burden

One of my favourite bars on the fell always a good atmosphere, good spirit selection and reasonably priced

Me and my friends arrived for the England game with great excitement unfortunately by the the end of the night we were very disappointed. The staff had very poor attitudes we asked them numerous times to change the Chanel to the England game in fact the full bar did for about half and hour, we managed to get it on time but was such a hassle, after the game we then decided we might be able to sit outside in beer garden we were told that’s fine but we can’t take our drinks we have to buy new ones up there which is just in my eyes a greedy money making scheme after about 10 mins they then told us they were fully booked upstairs when we were there and it must have been half full at the most with no one entering the bar, we left and returned an hour later and it was even quieter, just really annoying and you could tell they didn’t want us there, such a shame because I have had some good visits and it’s a lovely bar.

I absolutely loved coming here this evening the atmosphere was fantastic and was amazed of the amount of products you had to choose from loved the wine selection and gin also will definitely return high five to the cleanliness and covid guidance guys will definitely return

As the title suggests, absolutely fine place to watch the match. Nothing fancy about it, very down to earth. Wine was just ok

always. In search of a nice pint of beer especially the blond beers I find the ship yard on offer at the arms spot on .a bit pricey but really nice. I also find the venue very clean and cozy and the staff always quick to serve .brilliant sports coverage as well.

Always good for a beer & an opportunity to watch a football match. Good beers - especially the Shipyard Ale

Out with friends. Not very impressed. One member of staff very sourful, as if she didn't want to be there, doesn't give a good impression. Drinks far too expensive, wine is horrible. The Victoria further along the road is much more friendly, drinks are much nicer and slightly cheaper. But we would rather pay a bit more for a decent drink. We won the returning.

If you would like to try an amazing amount of drinks and cocktails this is the place to be, background music for all and every kind of sports on many screens for all to enjoy.

It is very fast service for drinks it has a tv that tells you football scores and movie trailers.Good bar.

Quite a common place for me to go on a sunday evening. Came in with a rather large group. Bought quite a few rounds and the staff are usually quite good. Young lad serving was great and very attentive and informative however, a gentlemen who seemed to be a supervisor was rather unpolite. However we took our leave and were quite happy with the evening. Although the next day I went in with a friend and manager of mine, yet when speaking with the supervisor, he began to call my twin and a couple of people who were with the party that day annoying and loud. This i found very rude and unproffessional for staff to say and i was very dissappointed.

We always come here for a drink when we visit Low Fell. The pub has been completely renovated and looks amazing. Good selection of drinks reasonably priced. Out the rear, and when the weather is good, is a tiered seating area which is great to take advantage of.

Pleasant decor, tastefully done. Served good cocktails. Wasnt anything like the Gateshead of old ...really quite civilised. Probably better going in the afternoon on a non NUFC match day as there were many tv.s.

Good for pres before town. Staff are friendly too. Restrooms are always clean. Bar recently been updated

Been about 25 years since I'd been here. Drinks as part of watching England lose to Scotland in the rugby.

The Gateshead Arms has recently been refurbished and what a great job! Great bar with a great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Llamó aquí tras una cena desastrosa en otro sitio y la diferencia era notable. Mientras que sólo queríamos bebidas el barman Philip fue muy amable, servicial y atento. Él parecía saber lo que quería la mayoría de sus clientes sin preguntarnos y tenía una gran rapport con ellos. Las copas muy rápidamente, eran bonitas y calientes y a un precio razonable.

I think I said it all lol it's on Fri an sat night drinking circuit so the customers seem to come in waves lol staff are friendly but it can get chocka so can be slow to get served the rest ov week it's a quite reasonable priced local bar nothing flash but comfy

Absolutamente horrible pub! Los inodoros asquerosa, vino servido en vasos de pinta y horrible servicio al cliente! Pub necesita mirar problema real en lugar de tratar con los clientes que paguen bien y obedezca modales horrible!

La cerveza no es de los mejores y si se puede conseguir por medio de personas que el bar, el personal es bastante amable, pero por desgracia el hedor de los sumideros lo hace desagradable cosa buena es la joya de un jardín de cerveza pero mucho si escalones para llegar allí
