Popped in the tearoom with my partner, son and dog and had a very nice experience. Sat in the courtyard as we had the dog which was nice on a warm day. The food was good and very reasonably priced. I had the ham and cheese ploughman’s and my partner had the tuna salad, both were really nice. We look forward to returning.

A member of our helpers suggested we try The Oyster Fleet on Canvey for our Sunday lunch. (we from Westcliff). We have a mini bus and cars. We have a group with Mild Learning Disabilities called "Seekers" from our church. We were not disapointed and the experience was good, food excellent and reasonable too. Service and staff very good and helpful. Clean and tidy. Toilets clean too. Dinners were hot. Thankyou, we will be back.

We visited last week for a festive afternoon tea as we do every Christmas. It was a lovely afternoon tea, great selection of sandwiches, scones and desserts as well as a savoury treat. Staff were helpful and friendly but could have been a bit more attentive with topping up tea. However was a grata afternoon tea and would recommend.

Stopped off here whilst walking and sat outside with our dogs (also dog friendly inside). Outside seating overlooks the 9th/18th hole. Had a few drinks - bar staff professional and attentive. Also ordered a pizza which was really tasty - £15 so not cheap - but it was good. The locals and golfers were so friendly and chatty with us and really made us feel welcome. Would recommend for drinks or food and would definitely visit again.

I come to Benugo at least once a week. The staff are always friendly, I always get exactly what I want. The food is fab. Jodie the manager is just lush. Everyone chats. Coffee is top notch. Their machiato is spot on! They have amazing cakes and baked goods too. Always an excuse to pop into JL. And sneak up for a coffee and a snack. Benugo Norwich *****

We went to the White Lion for my husbands 70th birthday. There was 27of us for Sunday lunch, what a brilliant afternoon we had. The atmosphere was wonderful the food was amazing everyone raved about Jennie’s roast potatoes said they were the best they had eaten. Thank you to everyone that made our afternoon a memorable one.

As English Heritage members we call in at Audley sometimes for a snack on the way past. After our last visit in August I wrote to English Heritage to complain about the café but have not had any response so I decided to leave this review. My concerns were several - young staff with no supervision and rushed off their feet ( not their fault ). Food uncovered on a counter extremely close to where people were queuing and walking past. This is a serious hygiene matter. ( E.H. need to take a look at National Trust cafes ). Tables dirty full of used crockery and leftover food. There was a trolley for customers to use but tucked in a corner. Take a picnic, there are beautiful grounds to sit in and tables near the house which I might add is magnificent.

Called in here to look at the antiques. We bought a small item and were served by the most miserable sour faced, unfriendly, man we had ever seen. On the way out we bought some of the excellent cakes on offer to take home and were served by a helpful friendly young lady and a jolly friendly young lad. Maybe they could teach the old bloke a few things about customer service ?

We ate lunch here and visited the farm shop twice. Lunch was really nice, they had 2 fires on and it was alittle cold but nothing major. I had a beef sandwich and my husband had a hunters chicken panini, both tasty and big portions. Staff were nice. Farm shop has a great selection of meats, 5 for £20 on alot of them which is really good. Had a couple bits already that we bought and it was all great. Will definitely return, would visit more often but we live 2 hours away!
