Met at a local venue to my host. The staff were so friendly and very efficient. The sausage sandwich was excellent. Look forward to a return visit sometime

I have Always recieved a great service and lovely food here. Their jackets are so tasty and milkshakes are amazing too. Its nice to see the staff always smiling and so welcoming too.

Have been enjoying breakfast here for the past few years and the service and food is excellent. Some reviews criticises the furnishings but this is mostly due to customers dropping food etc. The restaurant is nearly always full which is a good indication of the standards and service.

I had a lovely experience visiting Tasty bites this afternoon, the food was to a high quality and served promptly. Would highly recommend.

Great service, as always. I have visited Tasty Bites a numerous amount of times, but had brought two friends along with me for their first time. Both thoroughly enjoyed the service, and most importantly, the food. Easily my first choice cafe/restaurant when it comes to breakfast. Coffee milkshake is the bees knees btw.

Popped in for a late breakfast after restrictions were lifted. All tables were taken and restaurant was very busy but was greeted with a friendly smile and asked to wait outside until next table became free. The staff were working extremely hard and we had a really quality breakfast including a gluten free option. Would 100% recommend.

I eat in Tasty Bites once a week, sometimes more . I come in on my own , I come in for meetings and I come in with the kids and I can honestly say the food is good , tasty and quick . I don’t ever feel rushed (like others have written) and honestly my kids can be feral at times and I have never had any of the staff tut or huff or get impatient. I like the eggs royale , liver and bacon and the chicken wrap main . Decent portions also and the milkshakes are a winner with the kids . Defo recommend .

Food all cooked fresh and tasty. Would recomend going there for the Cafe menu and as it is a cafe it shuts early

Having read some of the previous reviews I think people have been rather harsh. I had a nice tuna melt panini and Other Half had a sandwich, both nicely presented and served quite quickly, and was asked our drinks preferences first which is nice then let us look at the menu. I didn't feel rushed. It was pleasantly busy but not crowded or loud, They were playing Prince. I didn't hear any swearing in the songs but then I was there to eat lunch with my partner so I wouldn't have noticed. I would eat there again and thought the lunch price was good, less than £20. Some pubs cost tons more

Lovely breakfast for my daughters birthday couldn’t fault it. We all had the big tasty breakfast. 👌👍🏻

Love this cafe for breakfast and lunch. Food is cooked freshly, and a wide menu is offered. It’s a very popular restaurant locally, so can get busy. Clean and staff offer a good service.

Had lunch. Cramped in. Felt rushed hadn’t even looked at the menu and got huff and puffs. Sitting eating the food heard a few swear songs played. Thought wow no one has noticed that works there as would of been switched off looked over. All standing chatting and laughing (no hair nets and one chewing gum ). A lady complained as had a toddler with her. We didn’t get an apology. Pairs full price and was very expensive for a normal lunch. Omelette and bacon sandwich. Prefer the old cafe it was with menu.

been telling fellow curry lovers of tasty bites for years,still the best food within a 10 mile radius.Had a very decent meal last saturday ,pity the onion barge was way to oily but the rest was very good.Change the oil a bit more regular and you will be hitting 5 stars guys

Visited recently as i had time to kill in Benfleet. Cup of tea £1_90 and i believe a milk shame is a fiver. I have been here before a d the toilet seat in the ladies was broken. Now they have a new one but it doesn't fit!! Was kept waiting to pay while the member of staff chatted away to someone else. I know people who come here regularly. Even if I lived in Benfleet i wouldn't be joining them

Was better before it tried to go upmarket, now just an expensive cafe There are much better quality cafes about for half the price, you can eat in a decent restaurant for the same cost.

It was amazing food so quick service and I love the coffee, would recommend it to definitely go back again.

Me and my other half went here for breakfast and we had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks. Tables around us had just arrived and within minutes they had drinks. Our table was far to small for the plates we was given. My plate was hanging half way off the table as there was no room. I heard great things this place and thought I would try it but if I’m honest I wouldn’t return.

went there recently for a breakfast and i have to say it was one of the best breakfasts i have had in a very long time and the service was excellent

Visited for first time today and won't be the last..attentive and friendly staff and the most amazing burger and chips we've had in a long time. Fresh and full of flavour and hot which is not often in many places! An asset to the area!

Being gluten intolerant I often struggle to have much of a choice when eating out, Tasty bites provide wholesome food and there is a good selection naturally gluten free choices. Its nice to be able to go to a restaurant and not have to look at the menu and rule out most of the dishes on the menu. The staff are always friendly and the service is excellent. The prices are excellent and the portions are man sized so struggle to finish it all. The staff are always happy to box up any remaining food for you to take home with you. Whenever I am in Benfleet we always eat here as the food and service is excellent.

Always nice to find a local eatery that does a good Fry Up on a Sunday morning when you’re feeling a bit delicate. All freshly cooked and good value for money.

This place service is so shocking! I did not want to write anything bad because i know the owner but i really needed to!! The wait for the drinks to come over around 15/20 mins bad enough but the food? Wait for it. Yep almost an hour. This is unacceptable for a cafe as my friend had a full english and i had eggs on toast. What was they doing waiting for the eggs to be laid! This was on a Sunday in a half empty cafe so i don’t know if this is their busiest times or if during the weekdays its better. No apologies, had to ask twice where our food was.

Nice breakfast restaurant in the neighbourhood. Good atmosphere, neat and clean. Waitress are attentive.

If you want a large cooked breakfast with all the trimmings this is the place to go. Great service. It’s always full but I’ve never waited for a table for more than 10 minutes. The waitresses are always cheerful.

I aint even going to write anything except 1 slice of cheese on toast for my 2 year old and a cup of tea over £6 absolute joke!!! Its had a expensive renovation tarted it up a littke and now charge people silly prices for simple things. Wont be coming back

I've only had breakfast in this cafe (twice now) and both times the 'full English' has been excellent. Quality sausages and coffee. Overall very good value for money. The staff are attentive, friendly and helpful.

Used to come come here most Sundays however last couple of months the service has dramatically changed. Somethings waiting over 20 minutes to receive our drinks and then a further hour for the food by then you’ve drank your drink! Customer service is generally poor and and the restaurant can not cope with being busy which is such a shame as we have never had a problem with the food and is normally very tasty just not sure it’s worth the wait

Used to LOVE going to this cafe when I was younger and it was small. Never mess up an order, staff were so nice! But now... I don’t think they’ve ever gotten an order correct.

I'd wanted to eat in here for a while so was really disappointed with the experience we had. As I was dining with a child, I wanted to see the food that she would have been able to eat. Upon walking in, there is no menu above the counter as you would expect so I asked a waitress if I could look at a menu. She told me to take a seat at an empty table and she would bring a menu over. We waited... and waited... and waited. She never brought us a menu. I noticed where there were some by the till and thought I'd just help myself. We sat back at the table and chose what we wanted and then the waiting started again. No one came over to take our order, despite several staff walking past our table and taking other tables' orders. In the end, we gave up and had to leave as my daughter was too hungry to keep waiting. Terrible service!

I regularly go to tasty bites for either lunch with friends or breakfast with my family. The food is always top notch, big portions and very good value for money. It’s popular so it’s always busy, so sometimes the service is a little slow when this is the case, but you don’t mind this for the quality of food.

Two previous visits here have been good, if a little pricey for what it is. This time however, we didn't stop to eat after walking in. The whole place reeked of garlic and not just a hint of smell, really overpowering. All the front window was open as usual but that didn't help to dilute the smell.

Been here a few times and always first rate. Usually busy and that’s for a reason. Do lovely breakfasts first rate and large.

My friends had full English an i myself had veggie sausage breakfast. All was cooked to perfection, was great value for money, service was excellent, tastefully decorated and clean. Will definitely recommend an go again.

Tasty Bites used to be a favorite for a place to go for breakfast. It was proper cafe food, cheap sausages, cheap bacon and lots of it.

No gluten fee selection no soya milk ... So didn't have a great choice ... Breakfast was ok , over priced for what we ordered ...l I love the old cafe as had a massive selection of breakfasts and was known for it ..lthis now sits with many cafes that are all the same .. Lovely decor ..

I am literally always in here with friends. Food is great - good selection on the menu and always well and carefully prepared. Staff are lovely - friendly, helpful and accommodating. Eggs royale are fab - proper thick hollandaise and well cooked poached eggs. One of the biggest pluses is the latte - a good size, proper glass, great quality and good value. Cappuccino is good too. Good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, nice place, good menu options. Would be even better if there were clear gluten free options. I had a jacket potato with nice side salad, however there was no information on other meal options which limited what I could choose. Overall great service. Parents had a lovely big all day breakfast each.

I haven’t actually visited Tasty Bites since it’s refurbishment but was very disappointed at their lack of customer service when I telephoned this morning to enquire about their gluten free options. I was going to visit for lunch with my daughter who has a wheat allergy. When I rang a very abrupt woman answered my query with a sharp response “no we don’t do any gluten free”. I was quite amazed as usually restaurants do try to help with any items which can be checked for gluten or I could have been called back if she wanted to make enquiries but it was obviously too much trouble for her. Will not be visiting in the future!

Been a few times now for lunch, and the food has always been good.Staff are friendly, and Accommodating.

Ideally situated if your on you way to or from the station or your just popping to the local shops good coffee and great breakfast not really tried anything else but it’s popular so can only assume everything is good

Tried this cafe today for first time and very pleasantly impressed. Nice decor, staff very helpful and friendly and excellent size portions all beautifully cooked and presented. Maybe a tad pricey for a cafe but not by much and certainly would go back again.

Loved it, clean, fresh ingredients, eggs benedict cooked to perfection. Will definitely be visiting again, it's modern decor is a delight and has an outdoor patio for al fresco dining, ladies who served us was really friendly even though our first visit and straight away joined in on our girly conversation. See you again soon.

Waited ages for "Tika masala jacket" was just Tika paste that coated chicken pieces and very bitter .

My fiancee & me often use this recently refurbished cafe / restaurant at lunchtime after an early start at work. It's nice to sit and relax for a while and enjoy the excellent food from the extensive menu. I have particularly enjoyed the milk shakes during the summer months. The staff are always friendly and helpful and even at peak times the wait is minimal. Great value and lots of it - always leave feeling extremely full!

This establishment has the appearance of a high end cafe that would not look out of place in East London's "hipster village". There are two differences, one is the menu, that does not pretend to be anything else but honest home cooked food, served in quantities that your mother give you when you return home for the weekend!

Went here on off chance for a lunch. Staff went out of their way to check that food was gluten free for me. One waitress went to check the ingredients on the chips were gluten free ( often they are already covered in flour to make them extra crispy). My husband had the all day breakfast which he said he struggled to eat as it was so large. He especially liked the fried bread . I had cheese omelet with chips and salad which again was a large portion. The food was delicious, but the service was a little slow, but the staff were so nice it didn't seem to matter so much and they were obviously very busy. Will return another day.

The food here is mostly really good, but the place is let down by some rude staff who wouldn't be out of place at a grease dump at the Watford gap.

Last minute decision to pop in for breakfast and a coffee, walked past it many times but had never been in. Food and service was excellent! It was busy but I didn't have to wait for my food, waiting staff were friendly and helpful.

Went for Saturday lunch with my daughter and granddaughter: due to the need for a high chair and access for my granddaughter's push chair, my daughter phoned and booked a table for us the day before. When we arrived, the fact we had booked made no difference as we were made to wait in queue with others waiting for a lunchtime table. When we were eventually seated we again requested a high chair for my granddaughter- the one that arrived had a harness that was at best ineffective and at worst plain dangerous. After wrestling with it for some time I requested the high chair be swapped for one with a working harness - which it was.

Didn't know it existed till today but my friend and myself visited and were amazed with the place brilliant venue staff extremely friendly and we will definitely return with our husbands to try the Sunday roast . Would highly recommend this place

Had lunch with a friend today here. Lovely friendly staff who were very welcoming. Had there cheese toastie with salad which was delicious. Will definitely be going back.

First visit to this venue for brunch. Very busy with couples and families. Full English was a good size for the money £6 ish and the decafe tea was nicer than most. Service with a smile, an older lady served us. Did not have to wait too long for the food to arrive. Quality ingredients, tasty bites!! Chilled with no rushing. On payment the girl at the till was polite and engaging with a smile and chat. I can't find a negative and I am a very critical diner.

Decided to give here a go when we were on the hunt for a quick lunch. When we first arrived, we headed for a two seater but was advised to pick a 4 seater for the 2 of us, as the plates were fairly big and the place was empty. Just as our lunch arrived and we had just tucked in to eating, a waitress came over asking if we could move over so they could take the table and seats we were sat on to make a 6 seater at another table. Never have I experienced actually having to pick up my own plate and having to move in the middle eating. Although, to save hassle we moved quietly, on the inside I was gobsmacked. Not appropriate service in my eyes.. not sure if we will come again.

Used to go here before the refurb and to be honest it was better back then, looks the business and a lot of staff but unfortunately my visit wasn't good. We ordered 2 breakfasts, it was fairly busy so a waitress asked us to move seats to accommodate a larger party that walked in, we didn't mind just wanted to eat, 25 mins later and still no food we asked how much longer and the waitress said she would check and never returned to us just seated the next customers who walked in. Another 10 minutes and no food, I had to get back to work so had i to cancel my order and leave hungry.. won't be returning!!

Came here for a nice breakfast as we have never been before. I ordered the full English and my other half ordered sausage chips and beans. It came out with only 1 sausage on it and a crap load of beans to make it look bigger.....when I asked "this is the adults one" she replied "yes they only come with 1 sausage"! Not ideal when I have a hungry other half and all he gets is a kids meal. My breakfast wasn't all that either. Personally I wouldn't go back

A friend brought me here for birthday breakfast. The food was cooked to perfection. Waitress was attentive although it wasn't very busy. I can't comment n cost as didn't pay but it was a lovely brekkie x

Really good deco, n very welcoming. , food is very good. Good size portions and very nicely presented . The place was quite busy but we were seated and served quickly by friendly staff. We will eat here again .

We visit here every week for lunch, the food is good, albeit a little expensive. The waitresses are nice and friendly. We do often get wrong orders (not the waitresses fault) though but they are quickly rectified, with apologies.

Tried this place out for the first time since it's been renovated the other day. Food was nice but VERY overpriced. I had a jacket potato which was quite small for £6.45 and my partner had a lasagne which he enjoyed and was quite big but £8.95 still a lot for lasagne and tiny bit of garlic bread. By the time we had added drinks the bill came to £26 which is a bit much for what we had. Also the floor was filthy and looked like it hadn't been swept all day. I preferred the cafe before renovation, you could get a good breakfast/lunch for a reasonable price. Now it's been renovated it's like they have made the prices higher to pay for it. Although it's always busy so they must be doing something right.

Popped in as a last minute thing -very impressed. Staff happy and quick to seat you with a friendly smile. Food very good and presented in a great style more than a "cafe". Full English belly busting all day breakfast and jacket potato with beans salad and two lattes £17.70. Not rushed at all and very busy. Nice atmosphere. Definitely a good thing for the high Road!

Since the cafe has had a massive renovation I find it to be now an expensive breakfast. Nothing special most breakfast comes with a drink Inc but this one don't simple things like this keep customers happy. Either way if you want a expensive full English look no further.

We ate here Friday lunchtime on the spur of the moment . Good food large portions and very nicely presented . The place was quite busy but we were seated and served quickly by friendly staff. We will eat here again .

Having been here the day before for the first time consuming a lovely afternoon meal , me and a friend returned to sample a breakfast the next morning.

Went along for breakfast on a cold & wet Sunday morning. It was extremely busy and I got one of the last free tables. We were served straight away by a staff member with a happy smile! Although the restaurant was busy we didn't wait long for our full English breakfast and it arrived pipping hot! Not sure if it was the weather that helped make the perfect breakfast but everything was tasty and cooked to perfection! The cost was reasonable and would not hesitate to go back there and eat again!

Food was lovely - freshly cooked and presented beautifully. Quite plush for a cafe with comfortable seating, very clean and good service.

First visit since the make over. No bubble and squeak or tinned tomatoes on the Manu and tea served in a fancy cup and saucer. Apparently, they wanted to go more upmarket. I won't be eating there again.

When a jug of water arrived with my black coffee my expectations were raised and I was not disappointed. Warm and cosy premises, comfortable seating with plenty of space around tables. Swift, friendly and efficient service with tables cleared promptly. The Full English consisted of top quality bacon ( grilled to perfection ), premium sausage, black pudding, plenty of beans and mushrooms together with a huge pile of hand cut toast from a fresh crusty loaf. Plus unexpected chips..... lovely !! I lingered over 2 extra cups of coffee reading the paper, excellent!

Went shortly after opening for breakfast. It's difficult to do anything great with a full English as it is what it is, we enjoyed ours but it wasn't exceptional. As they had only been open a few days we will go again, next time for lunch. Surroundings are lovely, comfortable seating and friendly staff.

A really lovely setting with great decor however a very disappointing visit. My tea came with milk in already? Consequently preference of strength wasn't as I would have chosen. The drinks came at different times. The description that my wrap came mozzarella wasn't accurate- it looked and tasted like cheap grated cheddar to me. I was told the wrap came hot. It didn't. Only the chicken was and I wasnt even given any cutlery to eat my salad with. The staff were very friendly but the service was poor. I shan't be rushing back!
