We had a lovely breakfast from here. The food was very tasty and wasn't low quality like some we are.

This place is an undiscovered gem. The food is amazing and very well priced. The service is very attentive and quick. We loved coming here and will be back soon. Our server Rihana was amazing. Thank you.

I had the lamb and beef roast dinner both meats were very dry and the roast potatoes I had to put in air fryer to crisp up the Yorkshire puddings were very greasy

First time visiting this cafe and we were very impressed. Had breakfast, cappuccinos and fruit smoothies. Food was hot and tasty, coffees were great and hot too, cappuccinos elsewhere are usual lukewarm. Relaxed atmosphere and pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend and would visit again, if in the area.

my boyfriend and I come here everyday and it’s so nice. i absolutely the onion rings and they’re so much value for money. they use real heinz and hp sauce as well unlike that other one in tarpots. very clean and friendly staff. would recommend 100%

Really really lovely food, but there’s nothing worse than when cafes fills up HP sauce and Heinz bottles with fake sauce and you ruin a good breakfast putting it on, it the sauce wasn’t fake it would be 5 star plus

Just visited Cosy Cafe at Tarpots with a thoroughly satisfying experience. Very polite waitresses and prompt service. We sat fairly close to the door which wasn't a good idea as it was really cold every time the door opened but soon warmed up again, anyway that was our own fault 🙄. The prices are really good and the portion sizes are fantastic. We ordered 2 full breakfasts and we both agreed that the food could have been a bit hotter. It was really busy with people being turned away as it was full, so it shows it's a very popular place. We would definitely return & would recommend this place to others. 👍🙂 Just returned to Cosy Cafe for a late lunch. Staff fantastic, service brilliant, food served mega fast, piping hot on this visit and super tasty. We loved the whole experience and I can personally recommend the Cookie Dough & ice cream for dessert 🤩😛

We enjoy going having a coffee and a tea cake mostly. We have also have enjoyed having a lunch meal. The food is nice, good size portions and the staff friendly.

My son and his partner took us in for a lunch the food was excellent the service was second too none and the staff couldn't have been more freindly and helpful

My first time after visits from my wife. Very friendly greeting by the staff, nice gent took our drinks order for the two of us. Extensive menu so I had problems what to choose ending with Shepard's pie with chips and beans keeping it simple for my first meal. My cup of coffee was full to the brim, piping hot and delicious. Excellent portions for my meal and very tasty and a good choice. Highly recommended. We arrived at 3.00pm knowing that an hour earlier we might have had to wait for a table.

Brilliant Cafe with an excellent menu and more than enough on the plate. Really reasonable prices for the food. Friendly helpful staff. The meal took a little while longer to come up but they were busy, which says it all, and it was well worth waiting for

We had stayed with family after a night at Basildon theatre watching an excellent performance of Grease by the RARE Youth Theatre Group. So we decided to wander into Benfleet for Sunday breakfast at a cafe that none of the family had been to before. Service was welcoming and we managed to make a table for 7 even though there was a reservation sign on the next table. A good mug of tea came swiftly and the kids milkshakes (a Snickers and a Nutella) were apparently fantastic!! The varying breakfasts offered were very good, omelettes excellent, and the Chefs special brekky very good. Lots of toast for the table and a complimentary bowl of chips too!! It turned out that the reservation at the next table had been made by the other half of the family which arrived not long after us, which was a big and happy surprise. Overall, the staff were excellent, food hot, tasty and cooked spot on. Certainly one of the best cafes we have found in the Southend area. Parking was easily available in the Aldi car park (1 1/2 hours free), and yes, we did do an quick shop as well.

Great place to eat, with very friendly staff. Whatever you order, it’s always first class. Well worth the 40 mile round trip we make, sometimes twice a week. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Staff all friendly. Tables were cleared abd cleaned promptly. Very reasonably priced and generous portions.

Poor service waited 15 minutes then they went a served other's who had just walked in ! Maybe we was invisible so went somewhere else were we wasn't 😁

Big menus so plenty to choose from but they are missing a fully loaded breakfast with chips bubble hash browns staff are really lovely food comes fast and hot not too bad prices, inside is super clean and tidy and laid out well nice place to be with lovely atmosphere. I'd suggest a few really comfy chairs with a coffee table, ideal location! Really good efficient staff 😃

First and last visit. Awful service! In a half empty cafe we waited 15 minutes to take our order of a crepe, a cake, cookie dough and a panini plus 2 milkshakes and 2 soft drinks. We waited and waited and waited for our order. First one milkshake was wrong which took ages to replace. Then one soft drink came out with a glass one didn't. After another long wait the cake came out. Then a few minutes later the cookie dough came out. Then after another wait then the panini appeared with half melted cheese. Finally the crepes turned up. By the time they came my son had finished the cake! They're too busy dealing with uber eats to lool after the people sitting in!!! Waste of time and money... too much money at that!

Have eaten here quite a few times and found the staff very friendly and polite. Food very good excellent portion size, I have children's size at times as some dishes on the menu are huge. Very reasonable prices, service excellent, waiting time for food is very good too. Premises are very clean although the WC could do with some TLC.

First time in this cafe. Absolute spotless, service was great food was great, prices in par with other cafes. Would go back for definite.

Breakfast was delivered very quickly, delivery driver was very friendly, wore a mask and kept a good distance. Food was hot on delivery, not greasy. Enough food for the two of us to share with 2 small children as well.

I seriously loved it the best food ive had in a while and friendly staff.

It was not as busy as usual but it was still inviting. Clean and very pleasant to eat there. I do enjoy there pie, mash and liquer very scrummy. They have a good choice of meals and desserts and cold drinks and an excellent choice of tea's. Well worth a visit, can't wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

So disappointed with this restaurant, the food and service is normally good . However when I recently call in for lunch I was concerned about the fact that not all staff had face coverings even though they were serving behind the counter. The lady serving the food did have a face covering but customers also allowed to walk through the restaurant without face coverings.

Social distancing is poorly managed, place was full so waiter told people who popped in to sit and wait at the front where me and my misses was sat within inches of us, others just walking about with no control poor management of tables. Food was standard for a café nothing to scream about but wasn't bad. Menu on the other hand states what you get bit when ordering I was told I don't get other things or as many of one thing anymore yet it states on the menu you do so false advertisement for an already over priced menu is another added to the list. All in all I wouldn't go again during covid or after.

Go there all the time a great cup and food

just had a takeaway from you , food good as normal , but an hour wait for 3 cooked items no acceptable , people coming in 20 mins after and ordering and leaveing 15 mins b4me think you needsomeone to organise chits in order they are taken such a shame wont be going back

Been loads of times now - not had a bad breakfast or lunchExtensive menu - food fresh and home madeNice and cosy - will be great for winter but summer was a bit warm in there - need to sort some air conditioning out. Saying that, tables are not squashed in so great for families with children and buggys and elderly or disabled customers to navigate.Just what Tarpots needed!

great food reasonable price and also some brilliant ice cream and crepes.. the guy who runs it is very welcoming and even lets my little girl have free icecream from time to time .. highly recommended

Had 2 pies 2 mash and liquor which was very authentic just like a proper london pie n mash shop, it was delicious and only £6.30

Came in every table dirty. Not wiped and old cutlery etc left. After searching for a table that was still dirty. I sat and waited for a server to clean and ask for an order of drink (due to hot weather we have had ) day. Waited and waited and waited. In total of 15 mins I waited for no clean table no offer on my choice of drink and in the end I gave up I felt like a ghost. Are else where. Gutted as never tried here before
