Have been here many time over the last 10 years, I stay overnight and fly fish. Really comfortable, I try to stay in the outside room block as newer and quieter than the main pub rooms. I can't recommend the pies enough, superb.

The restaurant was really cosy, we were so pleased we chose the white Hart for our family dinner. We were well greeted on a Thursday evening. We had our 3 year old granddaughter with us, and she was welcomed and enjoyed her children's meal. We were served by a new member of staff who provided a first class service. We all enjoyed our meals and look forward to returning again soon Many thanks Chris Grant

Consistently good. Nice atmosphere. Staff are generally attentive. The food is good and hot. A few things could’ve been presented better. Ladies toilets desperately need a ‘do’ over. Partner says, so could the men’s. Could improve on clearing more promptly.

Had lunch yesterday. Starter was chicken wings which were nice but the mushrooms in batter were full of grease. Then had fish cakes that were over cooked and peas were like bullets. Very disappointed and won’t be returning.

Great British Pub/Restaurant for a family get-together. Lovely staff & very attentive. We had an evening meal which was of great value & quality products. The bar staff are all amazing, but one stands out as she goes above & beyond to make sure you have a good time, especially a family get-together or just a nice couples evening. Thank you, Lisa, for making our family get together special . And thanks to the chef for great food . Definitely will be returning to The White Hart Benfleet & will recommend it. Hopefully, Lisa will still be there.

We attended a fundraiser afternoon on August 3rd for a local preschool. Was such a great day, organised really well. Mel & her team were fantastic. Fun was had by all.

Good rotation of decent beer, if you like that sort of thing. Good surroundings too, my local.

Cosy, welcoming pub with good food at a good price. Very family friendly with events for children running through the year. A lovely big garden for the kids to run riot in safety, and cosy fires to snuggles around in the winter. Plus there is always a great variety of drinks too.

Just wanted to say I was in the pub on Monday the 6th of may and they had a charity day in there. The pub was rammed but the two women working were exceptional and worked so hard to make sure everyone was served.

I didn’t want a big party for my 60th birthday, I just wanted something to eat and a night at my local. Everybody who wanted the big bash, realised on the night who was right. We had a fantastic night and were so well looked after by Sophie who is an absolute asset to the pub. There was about 22 of us and it was a real night to remember with everyone enjoying themselves. The only thing that was wrong was my food choice, I had the chicken pie (which was great), but should have gone for the roast which my wife had, which was on another level. We are not big pub goers, but you will be seeing a lot more of us I think and we will be supporting local. Thank you for a great night. Neil

Booked a table today at White Hart for 12 30 pm Got there was told togo and find our name on table We were seated amongst a fun raising event with different activities were being set up.My partner ordered a rump steak which was mostly gristly and very difficult to cut even with a steak knife Food was lukewarm and no one checked to see if the food was ok Very disappointed with the pub overall

This a review for order 421106 on table 17 on Sunday 5th May. Arrived at the venue and stood by the till/cutlery drawer for a good ten minutes before I stopped one of the many staff members walking past us to ask if we could get a table for four, or if we needed to book online or anything like that. We we're directed to a table and the server walked off. No one came back to take drinks or food orders so after a further twenty minutes, placed the order via the online menu QR code thing. We had young children with us and specified that their meals should come out "asap" and we would eat whenever they came out. We sat patiently and then someone from the kitchen came out and slammed down the cutlery for our food and left without a word. A further 35 minutes passed and our drinks arrived, our starters arrived a minute or two after; cheesy garlic bread, BBQ chicken wings and chipotle bites. These were placed in the middle of the table and again the server left without a word. So because there were no plates provided, we used serviettes to get the children started while we waited for their food. Another 10 minutes pass and I finally manage to grab the attention of a server and explain it's not really acceptable, we asked for the children's food first, and we haven't even got plates to eat from. Admittedly she was courteous and offered us a round of drinks, provided us with plates and apologised for lack of childrens food and off she went. The childrens food came out, eventually and the chicken burger was like a slice of leather, the cheese and tomato pizza wasn't cooked through so dough was still wet in the centre. Fast forward another twenty minutes and the adult mains finally arrived, the children had eaten a few mouthfuls of theirs before pushing their plates away, so now we have two hangry children with nothing to eat. Not one single server came over and asked if our food was ok. Truly a disappointing service for what should have been an enjoyable family meal. The tldr of it all, So little service it was self service. Food - poor to bad. An hour and a half to leave with empty stomachs. No refund mechanism on the online menu. So a truly marvelous, well spent, £55. In case it wasn't clear from the above. We won't be returning any time soon.

Came for a quick drink ended up staying for dinner as great atmosphere and food was delicious. The manager Mel looked after us and made us laugh all night

We had such a lovely evening. Service was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely bar garden where dogs are welcome. Mel the manager came to check if everything was ok with our food as we were a big group. Amazing Selection of beers on draft which made my other half very happy. Great for kids. The whole family and friends were very happy. We will be visiting again. Definitely the best family friendly pub in the area.

Mixed reviews from other ur group. Nice staff but food was not great-some meals were extremely overcooked and dried up. We would return for a drink but not for food.

If this is typical Ember Inn I will try to avoid in the future. The food looked and tasted like it had been cooked hours before and kept luke warm, the only hot content was the beef gravy for a chicken meal. The serving staff can only be described as scruffy as was the furniture.

Two bar staff are excellent but why would management not have extra staff on the Thursday before Easter weekend. Running out of glasses and people getting the hump. The two bar staff couldn’t do anymore, should have been a bumper night for a business, poor planning by management!

What on earth is the karaoke and dj night all about... Staff not to attentive, more interested in chatting to each other. Food wasn't great either... Very disappointing. I used to go there years ago, its nothing like it was..

I went here by chance with a friend and our 2 fur babies. The service and food was excellent. Our fur babies were given plenty of water and endless treats. Thanks guys it meant a lot that my boy was made so very welcome, we will be back x

I had a lovely meal at the white Hart pub in Thundersley on Tuesday 20th of February 2024 The service and the food were amazing. My Granddaughter who is 9 was allowed to have an Adult meal as it was just the two of us which made her very happy 😊 She had the Hunters Chicken and I had the southern fried Chicken burger. Grace also had ice cream for dessert The food was faultless and the service from Dawn and Lisa was above and beyond to make Grace feel special Thank you all

We booked a table for six on a Wednesday lunchtime. The place was quite cramped and full, not something that we expected for a Wednesday. No spaces left in the car park and surrounding road. Managed to find one about 5 minutes away. The food was average. Two of our guests ordered Ciabatta rolls but were just baguettes and underwhelming. We ordered tea and coffee and they were given to a different table, so after 10 minutes we had to ask for them and they said that we had already received them, then they realised their mistake. So we had to wait for them to make them again. I don't know why the place was so full as it is not somewhere that I would go out of my way to visit again. We only went there because it looked nice from the outside.

We waited nearly 40 minutes for our food and when it arrived it was only warm. We all agreed we like our food hot. We were not asked if everything was ok with our meal until the end when the plates were cleared. Very disappointed as we have previously enjoyed good meals.

Our previous visits to the White Hart have been good, sadly the last visit was very disappointing. The pub/restaurant was packed to capacity. There were no places in the car park, people were blocking the entrance standing smoking, and the bar was stacked with people waiting. There appeared to be just one person serving, and she seamed most unhappy. Some items on the menu were not available and the food that came was not what we have come to expect at the White Hart. Spicy chicken was advertised on ciabatta but when it arrived it was on toasted French bread. The only meal on our table of six that was satisfactory was the burger. Finally our tea and coffee order was deliver to the wrong table. I’m not sure we will return to the White Hart.

Service was shocking, waitress was quite rude didn’t make us feel welcome, didn’t inform us how to order just left us waiting there for 30 mins until I asked how we order. Gave us our food and didn’t inform us the plates were hot so my nan burnt her hand. Just such a let down, food was very average. Won’t be going back.

Lovely Sunday roast at the white hart with my wife and son, was busy so ordered on the app, drinks came quick, shortly afterwards our meals arrived, barmaid came to ask if everything was ok with our meals, desserts was brought promptly.

Starters were little cold however food did taste nice and service was good. Would like to see more on the menu though.

I sometimes bring my grandson in after school for a nice dinner. The have a good kids menu with lots of options. I love the fish cakes. can highly recommend

Visited last week with my mum and her friend. The land lady Mel was so lovely and really looked after my mum as she has a few dietary requirements. The team really took the time to help mum and we will go back again soon now cos of the service we received! Thank you team White Hart ❤️
