Really disappointed to visit the cafe for cakes to takeaway only to be told they were sold out! Don’t know who manages stock control but I won’t be rushing back.

We had a very nice lunch. My partner and I often come here when eating lunch in Hatfield. The staff are quite pleasant, don't hurry us and they serve good food

Was in Saturday for family christening , the food and the staff was so pleasant , service was very good staff was friendly , Luke was always there for us , lovely place we will be back soon when we are next in England , thank you the grove for the hospitality x

Wonderful experiencing trying out a new honey oat latte. Not too strong flavour , rather pleasant. Had cream bun as a take away. Thalia was a lovely staff member who recommended honey oat latte ☺️ truly made my morning.

Absolutely awful. Ordered the sharing platter, then told not doing it today. So ordered duck bonbons and chicken wings, then told no duck bonbons. Chef said would increase number of harissa fries and chicken wings. Did we want chips and not be charged, we said no chips. Chips came but no increase in fries or wings. Felt sorry for staff, barmaid had to go and help chef. Customers were being told 25 minutes wait, we waited 45 mins before this!! Also some woman who obviously knew the staff well kept going up to the bar chatting to them when they were obviously busy. She looked like she was a member of staff but was there with her kids who played pool.

I had a wonderful experience at this café! I tried the matcha smoothie for the first time and it was absolutely delicious—smooth, refreshing, and full of flavor. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and I especially want to mention Manager Karolina, who was incredibly kind and attentive. Great service and amazing drinks—definitely coming back!

This place is a hidden gem. Stop here and don't drive past. The new owners are lovely, the chef is amazing and the food is homemade with love. They all took the time to talk to us which was so nice. We visited twice, first time with my parents for Sunday dinner. We had 2 lamb dinners with all the trimmings, a steak pie, and fish and chips. So tasty, generous portions, and great value for money. We couldn't wait to go back and my wife and I visited again on the last day of our holiday. We had been looking forward to it and were not disappointed. We had lasagne, and wild mushroom and spinach risotto (I added chicken and prawns). It was undoubtedly restaurant quality. My wife who is a self confessed connoisseur of lasagne said it was better than any she has eaten, including in Italy, high praise indeed. We cannot wait to go back the next time we are in the lakes, or might even make a special 4 hour round trip because it was that good.

There is this lady who works there, unsure of her name, but her description is around 5ft 10, doesn't wear glasses, black hair usually gelled back, she has so much attitude, Caffè Nero needs to get rid of her, as she's letting you down! When I find her name out, I will name and shame. Otherwise, all the other staff are amazing.

Was not inpressed with the no variety of food on the menu, other mc Cullen's have move of a variety so bit confused, the chicken burger was like a piece of KFC between a bun and the chips have to say was not many

Went for breakfast with family and really really enjoyed it. Great food, great service from Becky Great start to our day.

Great pub, few drinks in the garden then for a lovely hot roast with family Naomi our server was friendly, food hot and plentiful
