Highly recommended. Friendly and fun atmosphere with live bands with a special shout out to Caroline and her team who always make the extra effort to make sure we are well looked after!

This is a lovely little pub/ diner. The food is great and even better has a little play area with enough benches to eat and watch the little ones playing. Absolutely lovely on a summers day having a catch up with friends. The service is also very good, has tvs to watch sports and a pool table.

Went to The Grove to Celebrate my Granddaughters Birthday, good selection of food and very reasonable,. Couldn’t fault anything , food was well cooked and well presented and the staff were amazing. Will definitely be going back, cheaper to eat there than have all the aggravation of cooking at home

Went to the Grove a couple of times in the last few weeks, both times the staff have been very friendly and welcoming! Had food from the menu that was good value for money and attended a party a week later and buffet food was just as good! Will definitely be returning 😊

The Wednesday burger deal is fantastic. Such tasty and freshly cooked food at a bargain price. A burger and 3 choices of sides (nice options) all for a fiver. Good sized portion. Great service and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. Recommend!

I came to The Grove for the first time for a private party. The staff were so friendly and the pub itself was great. I really enjoyed the food provided by the pub. I will be back again in the future for sure.

Held my partners 40th here, great service and value for money. Outdoor play area perfect to keep the little ones entertained.

We visit the grove often in the afternoon, never had a bad meal, and always happy with the service.

Been coming here for years. It has come a long way under the current management and the staff are generally friendly. It does regular good local live music and charity events which are free and a good laugh. As a local pub it's great. Only downside is on football days it can get a bit rowdy. One of the best pubs in Welwyn/Welwyn North. ...toilets could do with fixing...

I went to The Grove Pub today in Welwyn Garden City. I was served by a lovely girl called Cassie who couldn’t be nicer and more helpful if she tried. Nothing was too much. I was also served my Caroline who was absolutely brilliant too. Above and beyond for brilliant customer service. You can’t go wrong with the brilliant range of beer either. We booked a table for 4.30. On arrival we were told chef was on his break and kitchen wouldn't open until 5pm Happy the chef has a break but why allow us to book a table? We would have made a different decision about booking here. Food was nice, probably prepacked and nothing wild to shout about. But it was nicely presented and plentiful All parts of the pub - bat and restaurants had a large screen which was very loud. OK in bar but if you wanted to talk over dinner we were definitely in competition with the big screen!! We asked for it to be a little quieter but that never happened.

Don't leave many reviews, but this place is great. Steak and lasagna fabulous and really good value at just over £20. Staff very friendly - would highly recommend and will return when here again

The food here is absolute lovely. The atmosphere on the other hand…. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own home town than coming into this pub. I feel like if you are not a regular in the pub the staff all stare at you with a horrible look like you’ve tried to burn down the pub. I have spoken to multiple people who have gone and said they have felt the exact same way. Unless you live in this pub, prepare to be stared at the whole time you’re there by the staff and the regulars…

Called in this evening for food and drinks, there were 2 lovely girls behind the bar who were very welcoming 🙂 Food was also good - well done chef! Will return if in the area again.

First time eating here. Was made to feel welcome, menus variety of drinks and everything that's available was explained to us thoroughly! Also discounts when downloading the app Food was great, clean and has outdoor space with a small park. Overall was very very please definitely visiting again thank lady's x

This pub is our local pub. The staff are hardworking and friendly and the landlady and her team go above and beyond to ensure a friendly and safe atmosphere as it is a family pub. Great choice of food. Highly recommend.

Homophobic landlord,threatening ppl,when it was there local pissheads starting on non regulars,but cos there regulars we got asked to leave.very clicky pub,bad service.will never go in there again,there loss we big family and spend alot.

I loved my cheese and onion pie but my husband wasn't thrilled with the sausages in Yorkshire pud. Couldn't really cut them. The staff were lovely.

Over an hours wait for 2 simple dishes, quality very poor,instant mash and undercooked sausages. Understaffed...no notice given to us regarding delay. Appalling throughout. Server however was apologetic and seemed embarrassed. Not her fault at all. Thoroughly disappointed! NOT RECOMMENDED

We were a table of 15 amazing service staff were fantastic and very helpful. We pre-booked the meals which made it a little easier. The children enjoyed the outside play area.

Large modern spacious pub. Liked the fresh roses on the table. Good prices and value for money and friendly staff. What is not acceptable in a Green King pub is a toilet cubicle with a fist through the door with licentious text and no way to lock the door. How are you supposed to defecate in private!!! just not acceptable

Family friendly good meal deals even not on a deal a main and a drink comes out at £10-12 per person. Kids menu is cheap, nice staff and crowd. X

I think the chef are watching football match. I wait for 1 hr for some simple food. My daughter's sauage should be with gravy. No gravy. When i ask for gravy the shop keeper said it charges. While the menu mentioned that it is with gravy. I finally got the gravy but the whole meal is rubbish. Food poor quality Service rubbish Not recommended.

Service was so bad. Food came 1 hour after it ordered on the app . Fish and Chips were not hot nor crispy. When we chased at 50min , we were told 1 and half hour waiting is normal time and we were blamed placing order in app was the other reason to delay further . Kid’s meal come without gravy and waiter said it has to add extra fee, but menu said gravy included.

Came in on a Friday evening. Pub was buzzing and atmosphere was great. The menu prices are spectacular and the drink menu has some really affordable offers. The lady who served at the bar, although incredibly busy, took the time to pay attention to detail and worked so quickly in order to keep up with the volume of customers. She really impressed me. She had blonde hair worn in a pony tail. Friday 20th October.

Just got home from an evening at The Grove. We were allocated table 29 which was perfect for us to keep an eye on our children in the playground and also a great view of the TV (England football match) Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our order was serviced very quickly. The burgers were very good. Fantastic service and great value for money. Would definitely recommend this pub and will hopefully be back in the future. we was in welwyn visiting family came in on Saturday for dinner great service and lovely food was very busy but did not impact our visit. came back on Sunday for the roast again amazing service from jodie and reece the roast was the best we have had in a pub ever very very pleased and will return on our next family visit

GM at the restaurant was incredibly rude and threw a drink over me as an "accident" 10 minutes after I said the head on the beer was too large. Ridiculous staff.

Poor customer service. I complained about my food and waitress pulling it apart, saying it is green king spec, so it is fine and arguing with me. Dry chicken wings, mac and cheese is just pasta with melted cheddar on top, no creamy sauce or any taste. Waitress was rude and squished my mac and cheese around and squished my chicken with her hand, saying it wasn't dry. Waitress then asked me if I was a chef. Do not go here, awful.
