Always love visiting they make my visit so good with friendly staff and smiles even when extremely busy

Filthy glasses. They don’t wash glasses. Disgusting service …. Be careful guys they didn’t wash glasses. There were mouth marks on the glass. They gave coffee with an unwashed cup.

Staff friendly, always a place to sit very clean recommend it you won’t be disappointed

A different test each time. Today I bought hot chocolate but it is like milk. There is no chocolate. And not hot compared to previous times.

I am currently sitting in here watching a dog drink from it’s bowl, which its owner has placed on a table that human customers will be using (slobbering water onto table and floor) while staff say nothing. This will be my last visit here!

Horrible coffee... 2,15 Pounds for a single espresso "" take away " the coffee basically doesn't have caffeine... But it burns so the taste is like burning coffee.... Very dry... The staff doesn't even look in your face... Never smile....

Terrible visit today. Place is tatty and grubby - air conditioning unit in middle of store has been leaking directly onto floor/customers sitting at certain tables for well over a month now - why hasn’t this been fixed, or at least a bucket put under the leak, and how is it ok to have the toilet door opening straight out into eating area?! The icing on the cake today was that their ‘dog friendly’ policy meant that customers were treated to watching a large dog repeatedly vomiting in front of the food counter. Poor staff then had to attempt to clean this up while also serving customers in queue. Needless to say we left pretty immediately after this, and won’t bother going back.

Never before have I rated a Caffè Nero with only two stars, the single espresso was excellent and the service started ok but having finished my coffee I ask a member of staff if they would rinse out my little cup, no hesitation in her reply, we have public bathroom where you can wash your own cup. It was not that she was busy. In fact she was talking to the trainee and standing next to the tap. This was a first for me and I have asked this question so many times. I understand why in covid this was suspended. But not now and it is not like she said company policy. Then having return from the bathroom the same member of staff ignored us both and to save the embarrassment of serving me took a trey out to go and clear tables. It was clear we were waiting to be served. When we asked is there an issue, your ignoring us the trainee then tilled in our request and when another customer the lady cleaning tables came back to serve him. Astonishing behaviour And I have no idea why. I will not return if I see her on duty but as I’m only her for 24 hours it not an issue for me.

Good drinks, food options not bad, friendly staff but the service can be a bit hit and miss at times which seems to be reflected in the long queues that occur.

Very very slow service even with only 3 people in queue. Moody unfriendly service. Will be going elsewhere.

Place was dirty and tables not cleaned or cleared of empty cups and mugs plates . But very nice to sit outside in the afternoon sunshine 🌞 .

Not just a coffee shop. It's friendly, the staff are good and get to know you. The drinks and service are always good and the atmosphere is good there at all times of day.

Used to be such great coffee but definitely a pale imitation of what it once was. What do you have to do to get a good coffee from cafe Nero. I’ve now been told the that I have to pay extra to get the original coffee which is much better than the new blend. No wonder they are now selling poor cheap coffee! Are they trying to compete with Starbucks for the worst coffee on the high street?

Drinks and food as always is great here, and staff are helpful with a smile. However my only issue people sitting there dogs on the bench seats and chairs etc with their dirty paws. I understand it's a dog friendly Cafe but there ought to be certain rules in place.

From years my best coffee in Welwyn Garden City. Lovely atmosphere, friendly for dogs and people. Carlos makes a perfect coffee. Great place to meet someone.

Good little coffee shop, dog friendly and good coffee

Allowing certain customers to bring their barking dogs to roam between tables on long leads into the restaurant area effects the ability of other customers to relax with their coffee and snack. It is a shame that staff didn't not address the comments made by a number of customers on this issue.

Great lunch time treat with our one year old. We were made to feel welcome with our large pushchair, and a staff member moved chairs aside for us and talked to our little girl which she loved. The hot chocolate was one of the nicest I've had for ages!

The most dirty cafe I've ever been! Floor wasn't mopped for ages, walls are all dusty, mirror in fingerprints. The customers had to tidy up tables for themselves. Service is absolutely rubbish! If you respect yourself, never come!

Disappointed today. Coffee not as good as it was and unhelpful staff. Much prefer the nearby Coffee Lab.

The best of the brand coffee shops by a country mile. Nice staff and good food selection. Gets busy as the competition is awful.

This Nero can serve great coffees or just ok ones depending on the barista, but it's usually good. There is limited outdoor seating (3 tables) and it's nice when you can get one. There is a queue most of the time but it moves quickly.

All of the staff team are very welcoming and friendly and helpful I will hilly recommend going there for a visit God bless you all my friend's enjoy your rest of your weekend and have a really lovely wonderful blessed week ahead for next week xXx

The coffee used to be amazing and consistently that, but the coffee is now way inferior to my sage coffee maker at home. Quite disappointing as Nero was my favourite. Black sheep is now the new standard of quality coffee IMO.

Amazing Coffee. The staff should be paid twice as much they work very hard . Low paid staff running a massive empire does not make sense in this modern world.

I have just waited for 10 minutes to be served.....while a barista was filling up on cups and ignoring me. She then....after I'd finally been served offered to help her busy colleague.I got no apology for the wait.

No semi-skimmed milk which I didn't find out until I'd paid for my order, otherwise it was OK.

Very expensive coffee shop, better going to a pub for a cheaper coffee and food. You can also get a beer

Staff are very friendly and food is very nice - just a shame the place is so tatty and the tables are crammed so close together (and who wants to sit right next to disgusting toilet which never seems to have door closed unless someone is using it?!). Easier to hear conversation of customer at table behind/next to you than that of people you are sitting with. Also a favourite with dog owners, which isn’t great when you’re surrounded by them and they decided to start a barking competition!

While I love Caffe Nero and I regularly have my coffees with general satisfaction no matter where I am, this particular branch has caused nothing but disappointment so far. While at other Neros staff focus on pleasing customers, at this branch they clearly focus on how to say "no" :( Luckily, there are a few cafés around where customers are wanted, so I just need to remember not to make the mistake again to return to Caffe Nero Welwyn.

Always a queue so if you want coffee in a hurry, go elsewhere. Cappuccino has more coffee taste than that of Costa. 1 star less due to long queues

I visited the Caffe Nero in Welwyn Garden City on a Saturday morning about 8 am. The young lady who served me was very polite. It was incredibly noisy in the cafe. A group of people at the back were talking very loudly and another group at the front were also talking loudly. I could clearly every single word of their conversations. There is nothing calm or relaxing about this place. I think noise tends to reverberate within the building which doesn't help. The cafe latte was nothing special and I get much better results from a coffee capsule.

Very friendly staff and always help me out with carrying my order to my table or getting the door for my pram. It is usually quite busy which doesn't always lend to a relaxed environment.

Always friendly and helpful staff working very hard in an often too hot cafe that really needs to get the air conditioning rectified. Other than that I adore this place and have coffee there each day in the week.

I came here for some peace and have a hot beverage, the air-conditioning was to the MAX! It was colder inside than it was outside, and it was not a particularly warm day! The staff were busy and didn't seemed too pleased to have to pick up the previous customers' cups from the table. I had to ask if I could do it, if they had anything for me to wipe the table with, and they only took the cups and didn't bother wiping the table. Not really acceptable at this climate in all honesty.

We went into WGC on a hot summers day and decided to have a cold drink. We say Caffe Nero convenient located so we gave that a try. The barista was very helpful in helping me choose my drink. Service was friendly and efficient. Although there was a queue, we got served and received our drinks fairly quickly. Coffee was nice also (which is the most important thing). Will definitely return.

Lovely place selling divine coffee. Was served by a man (will) he was helpful made me my coffee just as i like it! I have been served by others but he listened to my order and did it properly which hasnt always been the case with other members of staff

The food in here is always fresh and tasty. Coffee is coffee so it all tastes the same to me but the staff here are friendly which adds to a pleasurable visit.

Nero is my new "go-to" take away... Love the roast and the almond croissants are THE best..

A nice place to relax either inside or out with excellent choices of coffee. Situated on a corner so all tables have a view of the centre of Welwyn Garden City. Very friendly and efficient staff.
