when we go into Cambridge we always call in to Shelly and Sarah's for a lovely Bacon roll and a mug of tea. we even take our grandchildren there as they love the food and drinks. The prices are very good and reasonable and nothing is to much trouble for them.

We visited Café Foy for a private hire event and had an incredible experience. The venue offered a set menu that catered to dietary requirements and personal preferences, with the option to pre-order, which made the evening run smoothly. The atmosphere was relaxed and cosy, with an elegant touch that made it feel special yet comfortable. Freshly baked breads were served on the table to start, setting the tone for a meal that was clearly homemade with care. I had the beef bourguignon, which was cooked to perfection—rich, tender, and full of depth. For those who preferred a vegetarian option, a mushroom-based alternative was available. To finish, I enjoyed a decadent chocolate mousse that was smooth, indulgent, and the perfect end to the meal. Service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring everything ran seamlessly. The entire evening was a delight, and I highly recommend Café Foy if you’re considering hiring a venue for a special occasion. The combination of exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a charming setting makes it a fantastic choice.

Three stars for food only because the choice is mainly Pizza’s, however these are stone baked fresh pizzas which are delicious. Five stars for service because the staff are fantastic. As for the atmosphere, only good if you like traditional pub atmosphere with wood burning fire place and well kept real ales.

We returned to The Burleigh Arms yesterday, celebrating 2 birthdays. What can I say? It did not disappoint. Beautiful flavours, well executed creative dishes and good value for money. We were gifted some dishes to try so we enjoyed a lot of the menu! The special of haggis and squid ink was a nice nod to burns. The cod starter was beautiful. Every dish was a standout. It really was. Thank you for your generosity- we were also given a card each and glass of fizz. The wine menu is good and a good range in price. The cocktail list creative although I opted for a gin martini as I do enjoy a classic. I highly recommend the Burleigh. It's not often the chef takes the time to speak with you and suggests a curry for you to make the next day! I am on it Kareem Roberts Service was faultless too and we were well looked after by our waitress and Tom Arnold A true indulgence in every sense!

Came to Cambridge to meet friends from Hong Kong, looked up traditional pub and came up with this one. Went for a look in the afternoon, greeted by friendly bar staff, had a drink in the snug, even acknowledged us leaving. Went back in the evening with friends and once again greeted by friendly staff and customers, made to feel so welcome, even in a busy pub. Makes me want to come back again to spend longer there. Thank you for those smiley faces :)

Always very helpful and knowledgeable staff.Good advice given.They will go through a range of products to get the right one for you.The take away food section isn't as good as it used to be.I miss the sunflower bake and the particularly delicious vegetable seamless.

This is the ultimate decadent experience for chocolate lovers. The barista pointed me to the menu on the counter- I expected to see the standard fare of coffees and was delighted by the extensive selection of chocolates you can choose to customise your fav bev. It ranges fr ~34% to 100%, and you can choose a mixture or single estate. We went for the 49% single origin Venezuelan cocoa. I couldn’t tell you the difference between single vs mixed cocoa beans, but it was the most delicious hot chocolate we had ever had. The milk felt micronised and left a perfectly velvety taste. The sweetness of the 49% was perfect without adding extra sugar (probably could go darker if you want it less sweet). The Knoops origin story is cool and if you panic at the top of the queue, check out their website for the menu before heading in. Cost wise, probably a more expensive brew than other cafes, but makes a nice first date joint (and then you have an excuse to for a second date to try the higher % in a blind taste test) Sorry: - can’t post the website here- Tripadvisor will ban the review ;) - forgot to take pictures (so will need to go back!)

The worst dining experience ever! We went as a family of five, each ordering a slice/main, a drink, and dessert. After 30 minutes, while we were still eating, a waiter came and took everything away, making loud, sharp clanking noises right by my 8-year-old daughter’s ear.

Stumbled across this Indigo Coffee House whilst in Cambridge with my partner and looking for a bite to eat, was so lovely to find genuine, warm service and be so looked after - especially as my partner is coeliac. Food was delicious but don’t even get us started on the sweet, gluten free treats!! We loved them so much we bought extra and took some home ❤️

Loved the atmosphere, great food, amazing service from Jada who took everyone's orders from memory and was very welcoming!
