Cafe 24 in Cambridge

What a gem i found today Monday 8/4/2024.Cafe 24 is wonderful.the staff are so charming,helpful and Professional.The food is absolutely excellent,and the prices are so so good.I recommend CAFE 24 to anyone visiting Cambridge.Its a little way from the city centre which is worth the ten minute walk. Paul.

Friendly staff and really good coffee. I've just eaten some delicious carrot cake which was beautifully presented. We'll definitely be back!

Well worth calling in for breakfast, it left the hotels breakfast in the dust, the wife loved the porridge with strawberry's and the avocado on toast was very nice, my only comment was the eggs didn't have the vibrant yellow I was used to, but the best Coffs I have had so far in the UK trip.

I got an iced latte and they literally mixed coffee powder with milk in a blender. By paying 3.20, I was expecting the coffee to be from the Barista…

Love this place love the variety of food and cakes. Even alcohol! Love this place because of the lovely customer service the staff and chefs are so lovely! a lovely European vibe it’s clean, cosy atmosphere where you can read and have a coffee and a fruit tea! I had a pistachio cake and I received more then that I has ice cream and mini smarties and chocolate sauce all over which looked fancy! They serve tasty wine Which is all affordable! I would highly recommend coming here! Then any other place! Love love love!

Lovely friendly staff + good prices

Pequeno café, com poucos lugares, mas bem organizado e um atendimento rápido e simpático. Serve o típico café da manhã inglês, senti falta do hush brown, que foi substituído por um pão torrado com manteiga. O preço, excelente, paguei pouco mais de £ 9 num double e minha esposa pouco mais de £ 7 num simples. Lembrando que um cheeseburger naquela região fica em torno de £ 14. Em suma, melhor opção pra quem quer experimentar um típico café inglês e ficar muito bem alimentado e ainda save money. Sim, os bolos pareciam deliciosos, mas ninguém aguentava comer mais nada.

The strawberry shake was fine. The staff was very friendly and atmosphere is ambient.

There's room for about 20 people comfortably packed upstairs and about 8 people on the entry floor, so it's not a place to bring a big group, but if you're on your own or with a friend, it's a fabulous cafe for a visit. I had the carrot cake, which was so good I convinced my friend to get it, and his was so good that someone else got envious and ordered some, too! You can get a good, fast, inexpensive lunch here, and it's perfectly on the way between the train station and city centre, so it's ideally located for anyone. I saw several people enjoying a full breakfast late in the day, and I'll bet the very friendly staff would be happy to wrap up your lunch for takeaway so you can eat it while you're walking.

This cafe is slightly away from the centre of Cambridge so was a bit quieter. I had a lovely crepe for lunch and my husband enjoyed a gluten-free toastie. Lovely coffee and lots of choice.

Literally my favourite place in Cambridge for a coffee/brunch. Far away from those posh overpriced places and with a large menu that will suit anyone.

Beautiful food and low prices also pop over from work and get me and a colleague breakfast 😋

Very nice little cafe in the heart of Cambridge. Food very nice and plenty of it. Prices considering it is in Cambridge are very reasonable. We will definitely be using it again when in Cambridge. If you use Trumpington P and R it is only a 5 minute walk to cafe.

Stopped in here as it was nearby. It was OK, nothing really wrong with the service but not the greatest coffee i've ever tasted - a little like a European import blend rather than gourmet or local artisan. Cake prices seemed a little high and whilst the wait for coffee isn't necessarily long, its made uncomfortable by there being no clear place to wait - to one side and you get overlooked or are constantly asked 'are you in the queue mate' by new arrivals, wait the other side and you're being shoved into the people sitting down by those making their way upstairs or to the toilet. I've experienced better.

Excellent breakfast made gluten free without a fuss. The full English breakfast was also reported as excellent with good quality bacon and well cooked eggs. Great coffee. Would recommend

Terribly tasting coffee that we actually left untouched as not drinkable. Staff let us to order and pay for coffee to sit in 10 min before closing. We didn’t know and we’re kicked out.

Great little cafe. Attentive staff. Lovely food, had the brunch. There a good range of options for breakfast or brunch on the menu.

One order you will get almost burnt bacon. The next you will get almost raw bacon. "Mega breakfast" always comes with one or two mushrooms only. One friendly advice: put the eggs and hash browns at the top of the takeaway box. So the eggs don't go rock hard and hash browns go soggy. This would improve the takeout experience a lot. I wish there was a good breakfast place in Cambridge. Currently, cafe 24 is not that place sadly.

I love going cafés and try their special delicacies and specially their home made coffee. This cafe around the main street of Cambridge is no different. It was rainy and cold afternoon where we planned to have some English breakfast and coffee to warm us up, We found this place and the entrance gives you a retro feel and it was nice and cozy inside. Good to know they serve all day break which is even better coz some other places they have specific times for breakfast. I ordered myself omelette and mushroom, hummus and veggies, boy oh boy they both where damn delicious and totally loved the food. I would definitely recommend that and a must go cafe if you are around Cambridge. Definitely cafe 24 #memories

Had a couple of coffees, omelette and chips as well as chicken burger and chips. Food freshly cooked and very good. All the staff are friendly. Portion sizes good. Excellent value.

Visited here for a small lunch with my child (under 3). The staff were so helpful at making a little plate for him and even brought the apple he wanted all sliced up on a plate with a little strawberry. I had one of the crepes, which was delicious!

Cozy little cafe with extra seating upstairs, close to the city center. It has great coffee, delicious sweet food and a comfortable atmosphere, good service and friendly staff. The prices are not very friendly, but I still recommend it if you are in the city.

Stopped by today for an early lunch and had a really nice Chicken Caesar. Staff were exceptionally friendly and polite, and the food was really tasty. Cold drinks were cold, which was perfect for my morning in the sunny streets.

Very cozy coffee. I had the warm chicken salad it was delicious and can serve as a healthy and balanced lunch!

We had takeaway breakfast. It was edible. But not worth the price in my opinion. The vegetarian English breakfast was 11 pounds if I am not mistaken. Definitely not worth even half the price of it. The Oreo milkshake was off. It was very watery. Wouldn’t order back, but I’ll give it another chance at some point.

Had breakfast today. Had omelet and It was above average and service was above average also. Flat White was exceptional!

25 mins to prep a bacon sandwich?! no warning that they couldn't prep it within a reasonable time. Literally a whole cafe of unhappy customers and delivery drivers. No way to run a business, just communicate with your customers.

Did not appreciate until last week that '24' is intended to represent the price of FOUR cappuccinos. Absolutely outrageous pricing for a product of average quality.

Welcome back to R&H's crazy food reviews, joined one again by our special guest J. This time we're out for a Breakfast, or rather a break'slow' at Cafe 24. The café itself is small and cosy, with a good atmosphere and very friendly staff. For the three of us the total came to £18 for a full English, a Chicken Tikka wrap and Chicken Tikka crepe - each was tasty. Unfortunately the service was rather slow and the portion sizes could have been a little larger. Overall, we'd say they just about scrape the 4. Until next time, Pasta la Vista

I visit this place quite often. I love their sandwiches. Reasonable price and friendly attitude. Highly recommended.

Mixed experience. Café is small and a bit claustrophobic. Service was slow. Sausage and bacon ciabatta was hearty and tasty, although the sausages were the cheapo variety. A rather unappealing crêpe arrived for my wife with cheapo golden syrup instead of the advertised maple syrup. Overall, disappointing.

Coffee time. Just passing by so give it a go to this cafe. Super cool fresh coffee.

Cozy little cafe close to the town centre. If one were to walk fast, there is good chance of missing this nice little cafe restaurant. Besides the usual staples, they have great coffee and a comfortable ambience. Very good service and friendly helpful staff. Credit cards accepted excluding American express.

Really liked it. Loved the decor...or sort of lack of...coffee was great and they do those great little Italian pastry things! Will certainly go back.

Homy cafe for everyone to enjoy

We chose this place because the reviews looked good. Unfortunately we were disappointed. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful and the portion sizes were generous. On the down side, the food quality was poor and the coffee was totally devoid of flavour.

Small little cafe on hills road. Staff are friendly. I had a hummus and grilled veg open sandwich which was enjoyable but could have had more grilled veg and less rocket. The drinks were deliciously cold straight out of fridge. Good place to get a takeaway to go to parkers piece.

Needed some lunch for outdoor eating and had delicious ciabatta sandwiches and hot drinks. All wrapped, in a bag ,drinks ( labelled) on a little tray. Enjoyed whilst sitting on Parker's Piece. Would reccomend.

I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, THIS PLACE IS MY NEW FAVOURITE!! Ordered online through Deliveroo because it’s lockdown and I’m low-key lazy. The order from start to finish took 45 minutes which i had first thought took quite a while but once we had received our food, it was absolutely gorgeous. So much thought and care went in to both dishes (avocado toast and mega breakfast, two milkshakes and two juices). It was the best breakfast food I have had in such a long time. I cannot wait until lockdown is over and we can come in for food because this WILL become a regular!! We even received a couple extra brownies that we had no purchased. Absolutely cannot fault, would award more stars if I could. Sorry there is no photos, it looked too good and got ate before I thought!!
