This place is an absolute gem. Great beer and tasty, reasonably priced Thai food. What's not to like? It speaks volumes that I went on a Wednesday evening at 7pm and the place was full with a great atmosphere.

I'll never get tired of eating here. It's, without a doubt, one of the best value for the money restaurants, not only from Cambridge, but from all of the restaurants I've visited in my life. The Tom Ka soup, my favourite, the pud Thai and the fried rice are absolutely outstanding and the service alway kind, efficient and very professional. Everybody should come and try the wonderful food here. Thank you, staff, for giving us so much!

The Wrestlers is one of my favourite Thai places, and my go-to local pub. The food is excellent (although I always request the curries as mild because they’re quite spicy!) and the atmosphere is super laid back and friendly. Service can be slow when they’re busy but they’ll usually warn you beforehand if that’s the case and the people who work there are very kind.

We had a delicious meal at the wrestlers last night, the omelette and panang were amazing and the pad Thai was 🙌 Can’t wait to be back!

The food is way beyond my initial expectation! I ordered sweet and sour pork that comes with jasmine rice. For drink I had premium swedish cider which tastes refreshing as well. It was crowded when we came but the waiter managed to find us a table. Definitely a repeat for me.

Great as usual. The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful and the food is just amazing. The chilly is extremely hot,(green/red thai curry) but thely can make it mild. Once you go there, you want to go again.

The Wrestlers is one of the best thai place in Cambridge (there is not too many, but still :-) ). Food is tasty, my favourite is green curry. One thing which I really like about The Wrestlers is how this place combines pub atmosphere with Thai food. Parking is not on premises but you can park at Tesco or across the road.

Seemed like if you just randomly had popped in, like we did, for a drink, you were met by a Chinese man who was only interested in selling you food. We had never set foot inside the place before, we didn't eat as we had already eaten. But the food did look good and we will return and eat there another day. P.S the young woman behind the bar who served us our drinks was very pleasant and accommodating.

Brilliant place. Found it on the spur of the moment - my partner and I were a bit dubious about the place at first but walking into the pub on a Friday night it was buzzing with activity. We were lucky to get one of only two tables left for the evening and I'm pleased we did. The food was not only authentic but plentiful! The staff were really helpful and polite - the atmosphere made the evening! Can't recommend it enough!

By far the best Thai i've ever eaten in (and I've tried them all). The food is outstanding, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked and consistently perfect (we eat here all the time and every plate is always perfect). Even better though the atmosphere is great and the service is flawless. Reading this you could be thinking that I'm reviewing a high end restaurant. I'm not it's a traditional pub and it does exactly what it says on the tin but for quality, service and friendliness it is a match for any restaurant i've ever been to no matter how expensive.

Very busy Thai pub. The reason it's very busy is that the food is superb. The service is quick. I've tried a few things on the menu, all have been excellent so far. The only problem I have is that we're in and finished in less than 30-45 mins. The wooden floor and tables give the pub a certain stark look, the acoustics are quute loud. However, I will continue to go there because of the food and the good beer. Even takeaway is always a great option.

Food was incredible, was reluctant to try Thai food as its not usually my favourite but this place changed my mind, was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend.

Nice surprise to find good Thai food in a pub. Staff were great, prices reasonable and food delicious. They are happy to make the food to your spice level. I like spicy and it definitely came with some punch. It feels more like a restaurant than a pub as most people were eating and it seems to be local people mainly dining there. Definitely worth a stop for a bite.

We had a very demanding and difficult customer among us, and the staff handled us professionally. The food was amazing. Literally, like one previous review said, that is indeed the best Thai place in Cambridge. I kid you not, it is really that good. Gonna be definitely returning here in the future.

Brilliant! Massive portion of delicious green chicken curry. And when the dude poured my beer, he said it was the last pint in the barrel, and as such might be sub-standard, so he gave it to me for free. The Wrestlers is a really great, very traditional pub which I wholeheartedly recommend.

We are staying in Cambourne for a few nights, googled the nearest good restaurant and this place showed up. We have just had a delicious Thai meal and are sorry we don't live closer otherwise we would come here often.

Excellent service had a take away and food is the best

Ordered Pork sweet and sour stir fry. A small bowl of rice with a full plate of excellently flavoured sweet and sour pork with cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes. Can heartily recommend for food. Drinks are slightly expensive at £3-4 for a lemonade, but it's good quality.

We stumbled upon the Wrestlers while we were staying at the Premier Inn about 300 yards down the road. We looked at the menu in the window, and realised they served Thai food.After eating here, I can say that they serve authentic Thai, it's not just a pub that serves Thai food.We had great prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce. This was followed by really tasty prawns in spicy sauce and prawns in oyster sauce.Well worth a visit.

This was another highly successful and tasty meal at Wrestlers Pub. The Thai curries here are always right on the money, and our table service was good too. As a vegetarian, I was made aware of the fish pastes used in their curries, so this was very helpful and appreciated before ordering. Love the additional side of a crispy fried egg, too. The only drawback to the evening was a slight lack of social distancing between tables, especially the table-for-two we occupied near the bar. Nevertheless, focusing on the food, as always Wrestlers Pub came up trumps. So good.

We went here for lunch last week and thought the food was fantastic. I had seafood green curry and my husband had king prawn panang curry. Both were absolutely delicious and the best Thai food we've had outside Thailand. My seafood dish had about five king prawns, many pieces of squid, mussels and crabsticks. You are lucky to get more than one of each in other places if you order a seafood dish. My husband had loads of king prawns in his. We live not far away and look forward to many return visits.The decor is basic but in a good way in that it's a genuine old fashioned pub which doesn't look especially pretty but has plenty of character and exceptional food.

Es werden Grundgeriche nach Rind, Schwein, Geflügel oder Meeresfrüchten angeboten, die sich mit beliebigen Beilagen kombinieren lassen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Preis angemessen und üblich. Die Wartezeit zu Zubereitung war leicht an der Grenze aber für einen Freitagabend wahrscheinlich normal. Die hohe Zahl der Besucher spricht auch hier für die Qualität. Bei mehr als zwei Personen würde ich einen Tisch vorbestellen. Neu für mich war das direkte Abkassieren, oder das Hinterlegen der Kreditkarte bis zum Ende des Besuchs- Die Nähe zum Travelodge Hotel ist eine großer Pluspunkt für mich gewesen. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit.

A lovely place to visit for a drink & became quite apparent that we needed to order food quickly as not long after it opened pick up orders arrived & people walked in to eat. Plenty of reserved tables also. Food was fantastic & well priced.

Fairly basic, and a simple menu but the food is fresh, great tasting and really good value. Service is really fast and all the pub drinks are available at pub prices.

I travel to Cambridge regularly for work purposes and always try and get a meal here. The food is better than any Thai I've tried.

This was my first visit to the Wrestlers Pub having heard from many people the Thai food here is second to none. I have to agree - we really enjoyed our meals and left feeling completely satisfied with the price, quality and overall experience. The staff were accommodating and helpful when it came to dietary requirements (one of us ensuring dishes were vegetarian friendly, so oyster sauce was not used by the chef). The Pud Thai was great and the addition of a deep fried egg too was great - super yolky! The menu has a wide selection and there are plenty of draught beers, ales and Guinness. Will definitely return.

We were looking for an alternative to English pubs for our lazy Fridays and we found The Wrestlers! The pub isn't so big but the atmosphere is very enjoyable. The staff is nice, friendly and always smiling. Prices are really good considering the quality and the quantity, on average with 15-18 pounds you can fill your belly with delicious food. The service is quite fast, always depending on the number of people waiting (max 40 min). The food: the best Thai I had in Cambridge. Soups, noodles, curries, stir fries, everything is worthy of trying. Everything is tasty and well cooked. Good selection of beers as well. Try it! You will not regret it!

We called in here on a Sat night.the place was packed but still managed to get a table for four. Very good atmosphere and both the locals and staff very friendly,especially Ashton who made us all laugh! The Red Thai curry was delicious and reasonably priced as were the drinks. So good I fact we returned early the following night for the green curry. Also great but red was definitely my preference.

Yes, this is a noisy pub and you might have to wait a bit for your food (see previous negative reviews) but the food is cooked to order and comes out as it is ready so you get a fresh meal instead of something which has been simmering on the hotplate. To be honest I find their food better than I have tasted in Thailand and I go often. The portions are huge (my friend and I share a Pad Thai and it's ample with some prawn crackers. Have tried other more expensive restaurants and they are not a patch on The Wrestlers. Don't listen to negative reviews; we all have bad days. I find staff lovely.

I visited Wrestlers Pub on a whim. A friend and I were walking to our Airbnb, just hoping to stop for a bite along the way. We decided to stop here and it was the best decision we ever made that day. We both got the Pad Thai and the next morning we were still raving about how delicious our meal had been. I would 100% recommend to anyone in the area looking for a good meal and good pub vibes.

Stayed at the nearby Travelodge and called in for a drink and meal. Excellent green curry, authentic and very tasty.Good choice of real ales too, I particularly enjoyed the Youngs Special. It was so good that we returned the following night when I tried the red curry which was equally impressive. Recommended.

My wife and I eat here once or twice a week. The food is always excellent and cooked to order, the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble - including catering for my wife’s GF and DF dietary requirements.

Visited on a Thursday early evening and ordered the panang which is my favourite Thai curry. It wasn't busy and the staff weren't the friendliest, a bit standoffish to be honest but I was more concerned about the food and was very disappointed. After hearing only great things, that is what I expected; instead, the panang came out more like a soup. The chicken was a bit smelly like it had been sat out a while before being cooked (you know the smell?!) And it was so soupy, by that I mean there wasn't so much substance as there was the sauce. I have had way, way better panang curries, namely at East in Peterborough and the Giggling Squid in Bury St Edmunds. I won't bother visiting again.

Have heard so much about the food at this pub we finally got to try it. The food was fantastic, the quality and taste as well as being freshly made so it was lovely and hot. The service and advice was excellent. Great choice of wines too. Will definitely return can't believe we have not been here before.

This is regarding food and not the drinks, the only negative thing that weighs highly in my opinion is the long waiting time and also the pub is packed and loud so good luck hearing each other there.

This is a restaurant that I go to at least once a week. The staff are just fabulous and hilarious, the food is sublime! Chicken Pad Thai is my go to dish along with the thai crackers, but they never fail to dissapoint! Even on really busy days you get your food in great time with great service. Its the only place I go for Thai food!

A small group of us from work went here for lunch. As part of our order we asked for a couple of extras because one of our party didn’t want a main meal. We were told extras could only be added to a main meal.

Visiting Cambridge for the weekend and was looking for somewhere slightly different to eat on a Saturday night. Found this pub on Trip Advisor and decided to take a chance based on the reviews - and so pleased we did!

We have only ever eaten the beautifully fragrantly cooked Thai food as a Takeaway mainly because We have young teenage sons and also We love to have this as a special treat. If you were to compare the price of fish and chips to this then there would be no comparison into the variety and health benefits of Thai food. Try it!

Great lunch, large portions, reasonably priced and with really fast service. A simple one course menu (but still many choices) and all 3 of our meals were excellent. Slightly quirky surroundings but that just made it more fun! Definitely going back soon.

Wonderful food, laidback environment, family friendly. Our family of 5 shared the basil chili chicken stir fry, chicken fried rice, and pork chow mein. Our 21 month old especially enjoyed the prawn crackers. The staff was very gracious and accommodating when my daughter spilled her water. I love places where people are patient with my kids. It’s a delicious pub and our family highly recommends it!

I really cannot recommend this place enough! They are always very friendly and welcoming and their food is incredible. We used to live locally and were able to enjoy their panang curry regularly. But even though we've now moved to Germany, the food is so good we've made sure to stop by during this trip.

They put peas in their Thai green curry; not Thai! Typically hailed as the best Thai restaurant in Cambridge, it's not so much anymore; maybe they changed owners or chefs. They were even parsimonious with the serving of rice. A couple of years ago we would have given it four stars, but something has changed. Had it not been for the peas, we would have assumed it was an off night, but now we just really hope they return to their former glory. Still not bad for a pub night, just not a real Thai curry night.

I love this place. The interior is basic, and sometimes you have some trouble getting a table, but the food and portions are always fantastic. I have tried almost every dish on the menu and it never disappoints. Nice range of beers too.

Visiting Cambridge for two nights so on the first night ate at this pub as it was recommended by our host. I had the vegetable stir with cashew nuts and it was delicious. It was cooked to perfection, still crunchy veggies and lots and lots of cashew nuts. It had a very tasty sauce and came with boiled rice. My partner had the rice with prawns and he enjoyed it very much. This is a pub serving Thai food so you get the best of both worlds. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the meals are reasonably priced for large portions. I can recommend eating here

Went in for lunch with some colleagues who were raving about this place. Inside it's definitely more pub than restaurant but I'm fine with that. The service was curt but not unfriendly. We were on the soft drinks so unable to sample the beer selection. I had a stir fry dish, the others curry dishes. All were good although my colleagues said the Penang was too spicy (and for 2 of them it is their regular dish here). All in all I enjoyed the food and experience although didn't quite feel the wave of love everyone else seems to have for the place. I will visit again however and see if that changes!
