Fantastic range of delicious options that can all be made gluten free and a selection of gf cakes. Smoked haddock chowder was absolutely on point! Everyone in my party had a great time especially my friend with coeliac disease who has never seen so much choice. He was like a kid in a sweet shop! Excellent friendly service too! Superb value. Thank you Indigo!

We found this little gem whilst visiting Cambridge on Friday (14th Sept). There were only a few tables outside that were full but the kind lady who served us put another table & 2 chairs outside for us as it was too warm to sit inside. We both had a panini, my husband ham & cheese and mine Salmon and mozzarella, they were freshly cooked and very nice with plenty of filing. We stayed for a second cup of tea each. Although the lady was on her own she was very polite and served our food very quickly. Will definitely visit again when we’re next in Cambridge

We came into the shop and 1 of us bought a coffee. We needed Water as we all had sunstroke. Front of house server was incredibly condescending, rude and passive aggressive. Gave 2 small plastic cups of half filled water then refused the person, who had bought a coffee, water. Wouldn’t let us sit and drink although no one was there even after we were lovely. Poured the coffee from a glass into a plastic cup out of spite to force us to take away and put water into the cloudy used glass for one of us to drink out of. So unprofessional. Was just an incredibly awful experience even after a purchase and acted as if it was the most prestigious shop in cambridge. The coffee was poor and half filled at best. We were also heckled out of the door after we were nothing but nice. Do not recommend and Very well agreed to all 1 star reviews.

Also added additional options to our lunch and included additional charge to our bill without asking. Ordered a chai late, wasn't good, 30 mins in the server comes in and ask us to leave or buy more as the shop is busy and they "are losing customers by the dozen because we are ordering". Best part was that when we left there wasn't a queue and lots of empty chairs? Maybe we would have ordered more food/coffee if they were better 🐸☕

Was going to meet one of my best friends who I haven’t seen since January. Wanted to meet here, and she was very excited as it used to be one of her favourite places in Cambridge. I don’t like leaving bad reviews for small businesses as I know how much of an impact this can have, but this was the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a café. I arrived before my friend, and bought a brownie and a coffee. My friend came later and also bought a coffee. We had bought some of our own food and began eating it, as in other small businesses this is okay, but on reflection we should have refrained. The owner came over and asked us to put away our food, which we began to, and apologised multiple times. I would not be leaving this review if this is where the interaction had ended. She called us “completely immoral” and began to speak about how we were personally preventing her from putting food on her table. Both as a university student and someone who works for an independent restaurant, I know how stressful this current economic climate is, but this is not a professional way to speak to customers. We were uncomfortable with the atmosphere created and immediately left; a real shame as prior to this interaction I would have become a regular, like my friend. I can understand her concerns and again apologise, but this rudeness prevented her from getting future customers!

Not a good study space. Coffee tasty, room and ambience lovely, lady serving with red hair also very friendly. Coffee is at the expensive end, lack of charging plugs, lady with grey hair has a bee in her bonnet and is unfriendly. It was a real shame to have been abruptly and unpleasantly told to leave. My laptop was dying so I swapped out the electric heater for my laptop charger. The room wasn’t cold, it was busy with people. Lady with grey hair abruptly unplugged my laptop and told us to leave, speaking over the whole room to say we were treating it like our own office. Could have just asked us to unplug 🤷‍♂️, there’s no sign. We also had bought drinks and food. The exaggeration in the owners response, which seems to be a common feature across the other low reviews, is quite concerning. I fear what her reaction would be to a more serious incident, say a dropped mug or moving of chairs, or loud laughter. If she has such strong feelings about behaviours that are now typical in cafes in the Uk I would recommend the use of signage or using her words, rather than booting unsuspecting out. You are scaring away your own business.

Awful experience. The lady who owns it is one of the rudest women I’ve ever met. I was told to hurry up when asking to use the guest toilet (which is situated behind the food counter- hygienic…). She also wouldn’t let us change our food order when ordering and make several rude and impatient remarks while we were deciding. The whole place is cramped, over crowded and shabby. The owner has shown her greed by trying to shove too many tables into what really is a poxy small room- you could barely move in there. The tables were dirty and you are served your food on cheap horrible plastic plates - very good for the environment!! I definitely wont be returning, worst eating out experience I’ve had in a very long time.

Over priced and not satisfactory quality! wish I went to aromi instead! Wasn’t planning on leaving a review but was intrigued to see the ratings given I wasn’t happy. Turns out I’m not the only one (numerous one star reviews in the same boat). From the replies, it’s evident “customer service” isn’t a strong point. If you can’t take feedback or criticism, it won’t help you improve. This is meant as a helping hand, not a dig :) In response to your reply (as replies appear turned off)- I’d be afraid to complain in person given the passive aggression displayed in your responses. The customer isn’t always right but there is a common theme occurring in consistent 1 star feedback. Anyways, I will not be visiting again, if I wanted microwaved eggs, I’d go to my grandmas….

They’re just so rude that if I could give a 0 star review I would. Note: watch how the owner replies. Do better.

Not an enjoyable experience. I was in Indigo yesterday after finding out they welcomed dogs, winner. On entry, it’s a small entry and not much space which is fine, a little unnecessary tension over the door being shut but it was minor. Coffee was nice, enjoyed the little cake too and sat down at the only free chair which was available, unfortunately a family set but there you go. What I was shocked by was the total lack of respect towards customers, not to their faces, but behind their back. Front of house women, (it was the owner too)told a group she was going to tell a pair of girls upstairs to “bugger off” as they had “been there ages”. A pretty pathetic attempt to make the customers infront laugh whilst totally dismissing the customers who had been an bought within the shop. Instantly regretted going. I complimented the coffee and cake and made her aware that customers can hear what she’s saying(not that she was hiding it anyway) but to be aware because it didn’t make me feel good as a customer. Instead of addressing the rudeness she just told me how hard it was as a small shop and the issues they have. Literally deflected the issue and didn’t want to know and was pretty immature. Told me she’d never speak to elderly people like that which is besides the point too. I won’t be going back there, and certainly wouldn’t advise it when there are plenty of nicer independent coffee places in Cambridge that respect their customers. It’s a no from me!

The woman who served us was friendly, helpful and efficient. We had excellent lattes and drank them sitting on the wall in the sun outside King’s College. Due to the quality of the coffee and service, we returned later for lunch and our panini and ciabatta sandwich were excellent. It’s only a shame that the tables they have outside weren’t in the sun, but I guess they never will be due to the tall buildings on each side!

Happened upon this cozy little cafe on a walk around the town. The service was great - the staff was friendly and attentive. We asked for some more bread with the soup, he brought it out promptly but the piece he had toasted had a lot of air bubbles though so when he brought it out he offered us some more since that piece wasn't very substantial. You can tell he goes the extra mile to make sure his customers are satisfied and happy. I had the Parma ham and mozzarella panini and it was delicious! Especially with a side of some excellent homemade slaw. To say again the sourdough bread is amazing!

Horrible staff, woman serving makes snarky comments in the kitchen whilst preparing your food DO NOT go here if you want staff to be genuinely nice to you!

Food and coffee was okay. Pricey for how basic it was. I’ve had nicer from a supermarket. Saying that - the location was brilliant and the outdoor seating was lovely.

Lovely little cafe in the City Centre. Good coffee and great salads, hidden away from the crowded streets of the city centre. A great choice
