Had Sunday lunch with some freinds to celebrate a birthday. It was very difficult to fault; superb food, well presented , substantial portions and piping hot, great staff, knowledgeable and friendly and could not have been more helpful. Great location, and atmosphere. This will be our pub lunch place of choice from now on.

Called in for a light lunch last month. The restaurant (predominantly Indian cuisine) was disappointingly empty. Not a good sign. A pleasant enough meal but felt the charge of £3.50 for a paratha was excessive. Coffee also at £3.50 a cup was awful. Is there anywhere outside Italy that can produce a decent coffee? At the prices charged it should at least taste like coffee and be drinkable.

I went into David's earlier today and had a sandwich. A Reggie's Melt off the menu. It was delicious but also the most memorable flavour. If you want a treat get yourself one of these!

Good coffee friendly, efficient, charming staff. Very morish cakes. We'll laid out conversation friendly. Dogs welcomed.

As a pool player for this pub I'm in here most days. What makes this pub the place to be is the character, the charm, the staff who make it such a cosy place to frequent. The food is amazing, my favourite by far is the roast dinners. Massive fan of then. The staff too are friendly and accommodating, even playing pool they come over and talk to you ask you about your day ect, their general attitude is very positive and it makes the experience that much better. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Keep up the great work!

Really delicious food with large portions and excellent bar and restaurant service. Very family friendly too and adaptable to our needs.

Very disappointing visit today. Ordered a cheese and pickle sandwich for lunch which according to the menu would be served on locally made bread (at £9.50 for a sandwich you would expect it to be!!). Waited over 15 minutes for a sandwich, roast beef and a starter and the sandwich was totally appalling. Cheap white bread from the supermarket, thin slices of cheese and loads of margarine and pickle. Could not actually believe that for £9.50 that was what was served, I can only presume (and hope) that they had no fresh local bread left. Cannot believe the price for a sandwich that I could have made better myself at home. I did complain to the waitress who was very apologetic and very kindly took all drinks off of the bill. The roast dinner looked delicious and the parfait starter was also good. Sadly we ordered a cheesecake and slice of cake for desert which we had to ask to be take away after another 20 minutes of waiting. Even boxing those up seemed to take forever. Lovely staff but I won’t be rushing back.

Delicious soup and best lightest cheese scone ever eaten. Lovely friendly service. Cannot wait to return. 5 stars, at least!

Michael and Sheila have gone although the new "lady of the house" is actually Sheilas daughter. I appreciated we are in troubled times with a lot of pubs cutting back but a very limited menu will not impress previous customers, although the fish couldn't have been fresher. A big no is the owners children having the run of the pub, just imagine "grumpy" Michaels comments!!!.

This place is amazing. I had a cappuccino and bacon, sausage, egg and chips. My wife had a veggie breakfast with complementary toast and a cup of tea. Total £16.10. Tasty food, great service, fantastic value 🙏🏻

Went there today for Sunday lunch with my wife and little Border Terrier. The Sunday lunch was really nice, In fact I would go as far as to say it was one of the nicest Sunday lunches we have had for a very long time. On arriving at the pub we were greeted with a warm welcome, and the service we received was excellent. This is a very good country pub and looked well supported going by the amount of people eating and drinking there. We will be going back sometime soon as this pub impressed us both.

A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere in Marimba cafe, with excellent service from the most friendly and professional staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Home made cakes and a huge variety of proper coffee and exotic hot chocolates to choose from. The wonderful girls who work in Marimba soon get to know you by name and everybody is made most welcome. I highly recommend!
