The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Babergh East of England

We paid a visit a year ago from the USA (my apologies for the late review). We had a wonderful time, the food was excellent and the host's just the best. Please pay a visit and enjoy their hospitality, you will not be disappointed.

We were seated quickly but after that the service is extremely slow The restaurant was not busy but meals were slow arriving, very small portions for the price charged We had to ask for the bill twice the original waitress just disappeared! Expensive for a village pub

Fabulous Sunday lunch (don’t have a starter!!). The food was delicious, too much if anything, and the service was excellent. Humans do it so much better! Shout out to The Queens Head at Hawkedon for pointing us in the right direction for food.

Always a pleasure to sit outside this friendly cafe, drinking excellent coffee in the beautiful village of Boxford.

This pub offers a friendly pub atmosphere! Great local pub. The landlord is fantastic and very welcoming! Great drinks, open mic nights, and other themes.

Staff are very friendly cafe is very nice too and welcoming too. Price of food is little bit pricey but you do get good farmed local food and is very tasty and cooked freshly too. Well worth a visit.

Wow what a pleasure it was to pop into the Gainsborough pub now that it under new management my wife and I popped in and ordered a lovely roast beef dinner we was pleasantly surprised how friendly and welcoming the staff are but most importantly the food was GREAT. highly recommend

Amazing place .. great service and great food

It amazes me how this bar has a decent rating, well, they must be from friends of the bar. The bar is only open part time, and why is that? Because the only people it attracts is the local druggies and lowlifes. You won’t find anyone with any kind of standards drinking here, and trust me, you’ll be surrounded by 16 to 25 year olds. It seems the Ark is happy with this clientele, as the majority of Brantham know it’s known for this kind of thing. This “bar” is a failing business and will continue to be, unless it actually makes the effort with attracting the right customers who will make others comfortable drinking there. This bar is bad news and I would avoid. I have lived in the village for a long time and it’s such a shame, but you hear all kinds of rumours about it. Every time I drive past it seems it’s never open. If you prefer somewhere a little more classy then try the Brantham bull. The Brantham bull makes effort to provide a service for the elderly and actually wants to succeed.

Just visited to install a new card machine for the new owners. The place is a real bakery and smells great. A massive selection of cakes, pastries and bread. The new owners informed me that there will be some refurb going on soon but I will be back. Great friendly staff.

Fabulous old-world pub with a log fire and comfortable seating, quirky and cosy.

We went in for Sunday dinner as a group of 12, all with Basset hounds. The staff were all very welcoming and this is definitely a very dog friendly pub. The food was fantastic (everyone in our group said so), plentiful and very reasonably priced. Service was also great. Many thanks, Kent Basset Waddle.
