Lovely community run pub. Excellent menu, tasty food and good ambience. Visit if in the area. Revisited and service and menu great.

We had dinner bed and breakfast here for our anniversary, the room was amazing and the staff couldn’t do any more for us.. even making arrangements for my husband to have his favourite lobster 🦞 I would highly recommend the Lion and we will definitely be returning in the summer to sit in their lovely gardens. We had a really lovely couple of hours on 14th February having a splendid afternoon tea that I had won in the local village church raffle at Christmas. Everything was wonderful with the sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes, scones, macaroons, heart shaped sweeties, coffee and tea. Gluten free bread and scones and cakes were all very tasty and I particularly loved the gluten free sandwiches that were generously filled. It was all so perfect and the staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. What a very enjoyable and much appreciated afternoon tea.. thank you very much to all the team and for the lovely treat! We will be back very soon!

Lovely cafe with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff, great food and the most amazing array of cakes. All homemade and top quality. Highly recommend!

All pastries were stone cold.. wasn’t made aware that the heater wasn’t working when we ordered. Poor customer service, gross food.

My wife and I enjoyed lunch and dinner here before staying overnight and if one word is needed to sum up this place it would be 'charming'. The location is charming, the building is charming and all the staff are charming. Linda is a lovely hostess and instantly makes you feel at home. The facilities are spotless and the prices are very reasonable. Particular mention goes to the chef. Not only is the food absolutely delicious and exquisitely presented but it is always piping hot. Already planning a return trip and stay.

This is an absolute gem that you might miss as it's not in the centre. The food is delicious, and the service was superb. I definitely want to go again.

Fantastic country pub, huge selection of beers, ciders with very friendly staff. Food is available from high quality visiting food trucks and from thier own kitchen. They also have a campsite! 100% recommended
