Arrived too late for hot food but had a delicious cheese scone

Good food, good service, a bit out of the way but worth the drive, parking is very limited.

The food quality is very good but the flavour was a bit dull. My Reuben needed more of everything and didn’t have any thousand island or ranch. Inside seating is limited and outside is noisy with a busy road nearby. The waffles are very thin - it’s a legit thing but not very interesting.

I’ve been to the Milk Shed twice with a couple of work colleagues, once under the previous owners and more recently under the new management. All three of us ordered the avocado, halloumi and poached eggs on sourdough, which was nicely presented and perfectly cooked. I enjoyed a charcuterie board on a previous visit. Parking is a little tight in the car park, but there’s plenty on the road outside if needed.

A lovely way to start the day. Sat at a table outside as the weather was nice and we were waited on hand and foot. Fantastic, friendly service, great food, lovely surroundings. A great start to the day. East to access with ample parking. Would definitely recommend and will be going again.

No much variety. Food is ok too expensive for what they offer.

A nice place to get lunch. The food is good, especially the breakfast muffin, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They do good coffee and nice home made cakes. Great on a sunny day, sitting outside for lunch.

This place used to be amazing. It did the best food for a local cafe (scandi inspired). Would regularly make excuses to eat here. Sadly it seems to have gone downhill and lost its USP. Would love to see the food and drink match the lovely environment again.

I've been meaning to come to the Milk Shed since it opened, but I only managed it today as I was in the area. What a delightful place! Charming location, just off the main road, plenty of parking and a wonderful Scandi-style interior. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and I enjoyed every mouthful of my lunch. A calm, relaxing and soothing atmosphere clearly enjoyed by all ages as other tables were occupied by a baby (and his mother), young couples, people my age and the elderly. I will certainly return if I'm ever that side of Ipswich again.

Been meaning to try this cafe for a while and finally got around to it with a full English breakfast, followed by carrot cake - and we were not disappointed at all. Delicious fresh food and excellent friendly service. Will be back (in fact we have just booked for Mothers Day afternoon tea and are very much looking forward to it!)

Good food, excellent place for a payday treat.

The next level of good! The food is amazing quality and beautifully presented- I ordered smoked salmon and poached egg on sourdough toast (with bacon as extra). Generous portion of salmon & bacon, super tasty. The fresh dill is a lovely detail too.

This is the nicest road side cafe I have ever been to. Top quality coffee and cakes. Great surroundings. Updated. It's still excellent!

Everything excellent except for the temperature of the place, a bit cold for me.

Popped over some for lunch with two kids after a visit to the local play centre. Greeted with a smile and a nice clean cafe. The kids loved the Nordic waffles. The coffee is also very nice.

The Milk Shed Cafe is a wonderful place to visit. Lucy and Matt and so welcoming, knowledgeable and accomidating. The food is on point with a varied menu and really good prices (average price around £8.50 and a Shed breakfast at only £12.00) the quality is a absolute BARGIN! The atmosphere is wonderful, soft music playing in the background and lots of groups and couples chatting away on a Sunday morning. Don't just take my word for it go check it out for yourself! You won't be left disappointed.

An off-the-beaten-track gem for the traveller seeking a hearty breakfast. The traditional full English is excellent, but for something different the waffle options are a delicious alternative. Worth a visit even if you simply want a very decent coffee.

The food was very good , freshly made and healthy . The cafe itself is quite compact and a wait of 5 to 10 minutes for a table seemed the norm , having said that the staff were apologetic and did all they could to get us seated .

First visit, popped in for bacon rolls and drinks. Staff friendly and helpful, very clean great position. Lovely menu plenty of variety. Will definitely be back for lunch next time

Ordered the shed breakfast. Dissapointed to say the least, 12.50 to recieve one sausage, one small fried egg, 3 rashers of streaky bacon, beans (portion: table spoon of beans at least!). Genuinely thought i had the wrong order. God knows what the kids breakfast is like, probably served on one of the cup saucers.... Lad i was with had one small waffle and 3 little rashers of streaky bacon, 9 quid! Sort it out. Aint a big eater n all, but man, poor. Nah just nah, overpriced for what it is. Scammed. Place smells like old beef n all, whats that about?

We were not able to order food, as we had gone past morning menu by 15 mins, and we had taken time choosing,drinking our coffees, and so we left, as we didn't like the other food. A little disappointed as they were not busy.

Completely charming cafe on the outskirts of Ipswich, popular with cyclists and those passing through from Suffolk back to London or vice versa. Heavy Scandi influence means waffles, open sandwiches and rosti on the menu, but the butties are also exceptional and well worth a look. Great coffee as well, as you'd expect. Dog-friendly inside and out - we sat in the courtyard and almost every table had a dog eagerly staring up hoping for a chunk of breakfast to fall off its plate.

Came here to grab a drink with friends. Had a chai latte. Was ok, not the best I've had. Prices here are a bit on the expensive side. Nicely laid out inside and nice ambience. If prices were a tad lower it would be excellent.

Great place for food just outside Ipswich and Sproughton. We had sweet potato fritters with smoked salmon, beetroot and avocado. Yummy 😋

Lovely coffee shop- can’t believe we hadn’t found this before!! Amazing coffee, impressive range of cakes, great ambiance and very friendly staff. Offers light lunches too but these are a little over-priced, particularly the “Scandi-bowl” which at the most expensive option (by the time you factor in the additional egg) was in reality quite a meagre side salad with a dessert spoon serving of three salads, a few slices of pickled cucumber and beetroot. ) Open Sandwich wasn't a full sandwich but a single slice of bread with toppings. Excellent quality food, but too expensive even given today's prices. (Perhaps a visit to the Green Room, Ipswich for comparison?) Very dog friendly, lots of GF and dairy free options but again super expensive. £1.65 for teeny tiny energy ball equiv. is just too much. As one of the inventors of these (later copied by Deliciously Ella) I *know* what these cost to make.

First time and good solid food and service. Had the full English and good. Coffee very good. Car park is small for venue but plenty of street parking

Wonderful cafe with super friendly staff the welcome you. Not sure many people know about this place but we stayed at hotel near by and wanted and afternoon treat. If hadn't booked other plans in the evening we would definitely have ordered brunch as they looked delicious 😋. Hopefully another time.

What a hidden gem just outside of Ipswich! Delicious Scandinavidan food in a beautiful setting, reminds us of cafes in London. We had waffles, cake and the little one had milkshake + sandwich, all were amazing and tasty. Service was really good too. Looking forward to visiting again.

Visited you last night for your seven course meal and what a treat. The quality of every dish was outstanding and possibly one of the best meals i have had in many years, presentation, combinations and taste were superb. Swedish meatballs dish was excellent - pretty small dining area. Temperature was very much on the cool side. Staff were friendly and attentive.

What a gem of a place.. we had the beetroot butternut squash and lentil soup. It was to die for. Loved it. Coffee was great atmosphere just so relaxed and staff could not do enough for us. Great place. We will be back xx

Lovely place for delicious food. I highly recommend the full breakfast. It was absolutely amazing. Reasonable prices and dog friendly too which is a huge plus point. Set in a good location and very easy to get to. Decent sized car park too. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Had some dog treats on hand for our 2 Jack Russells.

Nice little gem! Lovely staff, very attentive and the cleanliness of the place was fantastic! They had vegan cake options and easily made me a delicious avo and rocket sandwich! Really yummy!

We found this place close to our hotel by coinsidense the morning after we had arrived to England from Norway where we live. And to our surprise the cafe is Scandinavian inspired, lovely selections of cakes and baked goods. What a lovely place and the food is high quality without having a heavy price tag on it. We ordered the macrel from the breakfast menu and some scones for my english husband. Really good! We will go back.

Visited for the first time today. The sun was shining so we sat outside and it is a fab setting. The breakfast was delicious and the lady who served us was very friendly.

I absolutely love it here! Today I had baked eggs with garlic white beans, spinach, feta, dill, pickled onions and sourdough and it was honestly the most delicious brunch I’ve ever had! Full of flavour and so comforting! I’ll be coming back just for this! . I just love the Scandinavian influence and want to try everything on the menu plus all the baked goods on display. All the staff are lovely too.
