Excellent menu with great gluten free options. But best of all are the very friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely food, lovely staff - great It's a community place, but 5 stars for everything, but only 4 stars given overall due to accessibility ♿-sorry😒 Definitely needs at least 3 disabled parking places, huge car park, but full by 12.30 & every evening by 19.00hrs. But fabulous place! Great outdoor seating area😉

Would be 5 star but seemed a slow service!! Food very nice, staff very pleasant and knowledgeable of the dietary issues! A tad on the expensive side!

Food is great, location is great, but service and restaurant temperature need work. There is not enough airflow and the main restaurant becomes too hot, even on a fresh day outside. In terms of service, after ordering drinks, we were asked to wait a 'couple of minutes as the kitchen was full of orders' while half of the restaurant was still empty. Other tables were instructed the same. After 20 minutes, we were finally able to order while the bar was taking food orders the whole time, which didn't make sense to us. Garden orders were sent out promptly while restaurant orders were sent to the back of the line. Not going back here...

Fantastic roast beef lunch. Portion size was huge. The beef was so tender and very tasty. Vegetables were perfect with a huge selection. Beers kept well.

Very lovely place, the food is beautiful and I can get so many gluten free meals, it is amazing. I took my family who were visiting me and we all had a beautiful lunch time meal. Not had this variety of meal before two of us were Gluten free, still a very good menu.

Visited yesterday for lunch. Was really busy, which meant a bit of a delay, but they did inform us within 5 mins. Due to a couple of large parties in it was really noisy so my dad struggled with this due to hearing aids but from time of order to us finishing our mains it was just under an hour. The food was worth waiting for, in my opinion. The fritatta was great. Next time, I'll just try to pick a quieter time. Staff were polite and attentive even when rushed off their feet.

Bit of a late review this, I thought I had done a review but I have been 4 times and wow it never disappoints. Amazing little pub this. Wonderful atmosphere and brilliant happy staff. I actually heard what sounds like a happy fun kitchen to be in which is unusual. This shows in the food as all 4 dishes me and my Mrs have had have been next level. The flavours the ingredients the presentation are all amazing. I would struggle to think of a pub I enjoy more in east anglia and it's a dog walk from my house 😁 Keep up the amazing work all of you its amazing. ❤️

Had fish and chips for £17.00, the fish was okay but for the price charged a very small portion. Served with a small portion of mushy peas and a portion of what seemed like frozen chips from Tesco freezer section and then overcooked. Poor quality, small portion and vastly overpriced . Won’t try that again.

I can not recommend this place enough. My go-to place to eat. *****If you have specific Dietry needs, then this is your new must visit place***** Honestly worth EVERY penny. The staff are fantastic. My only Advice is to book or you'll be Disappointed if you don't get in.

It was the first visit for my wife and myself, as l am celiac they catered for me brilliantly, near all the dishes can be adapted to fit my needs, my wife really enjoyed her 3 meat roast and almost finished it, the first but certainly not the last visit by us. The 2 ladies sitting next to us told us about uncooked potatoes and that they will be putting in a terrible review, when l asked about the rest of the meal they said oh no that was fine but felt a bad review was worth putting in because a couple of potatoes in their view weren’t cooked enough, l have to say my wife didn’t have a problem with her meal, so if you see a bad review instead of thinking l’ll give that a miss then go along and make your own mind up, you’ll then realise how good a place it is and l bet you’ll go back again, just like we’re going to do.

Food was disappointing and a completely different experience than pre covid, poor quality Food, but the really negative point was not allowing 2 elderly members of our group a children's size meal, although the children un the group had ordered adult meals at full cost, this was question but the chef replied rudely and saud we we trying to take advantage of a £4 difference in price, a simple request, blown well out of proportion. Disappointing 😞

Thoroughly good "pub grub" type food at good prices. Was very handy that we could bring our dog into the snug area. Good Comms from the waiting staff, we knew there was going to be a wait as they were busy. This was explained to us and we were kept up to date

Lovely meal here today. Staff and food were both brilliant. They explained that there'd be a wait for food and it wasn't too long, but we didn't mind as they'd mentioned it earlier. Very scrummy!

Great food, casual atmosphere and comfortable (exactly what we love). After the panto a wonderful find for food and laughter with friends and family. Also dog friendly.

Lovely community pub. Dog friendly, welcoming establishment, esp. for this nomad staying a ten minute walk away. Excellent ales. Very welcoming. Caught their real ales (4) over 3 visits in a week just as one was finishing and a new guest ale was coming on tap (so I caught a glimpse into how that process manifests in the glass). Both were Woodforde brews, the latter a seasonal Tinsel Toes. The Volt it replaced had been complex and interesting, if showing its age. Tinsel Toes was especially fresh and wonderful. I also sampled the (in)famous Adams Ghost Ship and Southwold. Both were fine but the guests beers hit the mark for me. Food is lauded by locals. I have not tried any here.

Very nice village pub. Service and food were excellent.

We went with friends for a Christmas meal. Sadly the roast vegetables were under roasted and the turkey appeared to be pressed meat. The starter and the dessert were very nice. The cost of £35 per head for a 3 course Christmas meal on a regular day was in the higher bracket, but to then be charged £1 for 2 very small boats of extra gravy was a bit of a cheek. The final bill was £343 excluding drinks, so, a pity to be so mean!

Nice to find a place to eat with lots of Gluten Free options that taste amazing, the Cheescake was delicious! Friendly, efficient service as well.

First time going and will definitely be going back. Can 100% back the great reviews. The younger guy serving was absolutely brilliant and everything was spot on, food, drinks, service. Literally couldn't fault it. Beef, mushroom and truffle oil pie of the day was amazing and such generous portions and more importantly, generous amounts of gravy!! Toilets were also so clean which wouldn't usually be a factor for me but they were so clean I had to mention! Will definitely be coming back!

Service was slow, menu limited, but food was excellent

WOAH! Okay... grab the attention, I've been here twice, the first time was ok. The second by accident, I booked my wife's birthday meal for her and the family. Purely on the basis that they had pork belly. Then realised we had been there before and it was a bit hit or miss, but it was around a year ago that I'd been there before. Got there today and it was fairly busy, which is not my kind of atmosphere but some people like that so I've given it a 5/5 for atmosphere. The table layout is such that you don't feel like you're eating with the table next to you which is great. Even for a table of 5. Lets move on to food as thats the main deal here people. WOW. I think they've got Gordon Ramsay Jr in the kitchen as you can hear this guy bark orders with the waitresses telling him to shh. But thats my kind of chef, clearly passionate with high standards. Thats a good sign. One of us ordered the steak and it was all consumed which is a clear sign the steak was perfect. I recently had a tooth out, and scoffed the ham egg and chips which was great. My wife had the pork belly and she said it was lovely with the 'perfect' amount of gravy. She is a gravy connoisseur. Lastly customer service was great, it was busy but they were attentive. I forgot to tip and I wish I had so I apologise. They asked once how the food was, aswell as asking if the steak was cooked to order which was a new one on me. Proactive not reactive! A great one. They even interuppted by saying...'sorry to interuppt' which i think is extremely well trained and polite (waiting?) (Boring bits... they also cater gluten free, dairy free, nut free and vegan. Good selection of food, plenty of parking round the back but it does get busy so you might have to carefully park in the middle. Easy to find) Bottom line is a 10/10 pub, in my opinion. In the words of the austrian oak... I'LL BE BACK.

Lovely welcoming pub with charming staff and really good food - we had a burger and tempura pickles & they were superb. Really nice well sized patio garden area out back to enjoy a pint in the sunshine. Was a bit confused by the ‘no dogs allowed’ sign on the door from the garden as dogs were in the bar area (and have water bowls provided in the garden) but it’s a lovely place and we’ll come back

Excellent food, my only complaint was that the portions were too big to eat more than the main course. The ploughmans was gorgeous, the scotch eggs devine. Next time though, I'm having a starter and dessert to make up for what I missed out on this time. 😁

Super food, mostly gluten free which is brilliant. Main drawback was it was very noisy where we were sitting. Next time we'll ask for a table in quieter spot.

We had a family dinner here. The Inn was very busy and a good took a while which was understandable. They were apologetic and brought our meals as soon as possible.

Beautifully pub, stunning garden with really nice furniture, really well looked after. I believe it is a community pub. Food was excellent. Its a bit far to visit often but I will definitely return.

We have been to the Brook several times and really enjoyed it. But for the last three times (over the last couple of months) the service has been diabolical. Not only that although the roasts were good the batter puddings were auful looked like they had been run over by a steam roller, they should never been served like that. It's ashame as we have have always enjoy going there but will have to think twice now.

Woeful service. We went for a drink tonight and watched an old man in his 80s get ignored for 25 minutes by the bar staff. Far too many waiting staff wrapping cutlery and not enough serving drinks. When the old boy complained he was told to wait in line having been overlooked about 5 times in a row. Disgusting.

Our new 'local', since moving to the village. So pleased we got a table at short notice. Lovely, lovely meal and service.

Went as part of a family group, staff helpful and friendly, nice menu, plenty of GF available, everyone commented how good theirs was, if being picky onion rings a bit over done, I asked for my ribeye medium to rare, like mine with a bit of blood and as with most places came as medium + just pink. Deserts really good, again good selection of GF, it's hard to do but often missed by chefs. Not over priced. Think it will get repeat visits.

Another lovely meal served by friendly helpful staff in very pleasant surroundings. However a llack of much sound absorbing material means it can be a bit noisy at times. Looking forward to our next visit.

Community run village pub doing a good trade, judging by busy lunchtime session. A good sandwich lunch served. Looks like you need to book.

Fantastic fresh and tasty food, which was beautifully presented. A Lovely vibrant atmosphere and super friendly staff. Loved too that dogs are welcomed into the bar area and can sit under the table whilst you enjoy your meal. Very good value for money and would definitely recommend a visit. Advise booking ahead as it is very popular! 👌 😁

I organised a meal for my wife's 40th birthday and the staff were so helpful with all the changes to the booking in the run up. There was a great choice of food and drinks and the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the night. We'll definitely be back!

Great food, and not just restricted to roast dinners on a Sunday. Very accomodating for allergies and intolerance. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We sat by the fire in the bar area with our dog and had a lovely Mother's Day lunch.

Always been a favourite place to eat. Having recently been told I'm gluten and dairy intolerant, this pub caters for me perfectly. I'm not limited to one or two choices on the menu.......I can just about eat anything . Fabulous burger. Thanks to the entire team. Friendly helpful bumch
