We have been here several times during the week and had a fantastic meal which made yesterday's visit (Sunday 3rd) a major disappointment. We sat down for 15 mins while staff walked past us and on several occasions could be seen on their phones in the kitchen. Without a menu or offer of a drink we got up and walked out.

Delicious HOME COOKED food, makes all the difference. Lovely coffee too. So many times you read home cooked but don’t look or taste it. This place is the real deal. Scone was hot too. Finally pleased we found this place.

If you ever find yourself in Sudbury, make sure you check out this little cafe! They have a perfect selection of homemade treats, and the menu leaves you spoilt for choice. I'd definitely recommend trying out the brownie – it is divine! The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit spot.

The sausage rolls look amazing in the window, but a few of us had one and they were ok nothing special for the price and we asked for them warm they were cold in the middle, not good when it’s meat. Service was just a bit standoffish and didn’t feel valued as customers and just not very friendly we all felt the same sadly won’t return. A friendly hello and a smile when you walk in would do wonders!

TwenteaOne is one of the best places to eat in Sudbury. Whether for breakfast, a cake, snack or full meal, there's a great choice every time. The cakes are something to write home about. They do also make to order ... The staff there are fun and friendly.

From the moment I walked into Twenteaone I felt at home. staff and customers all knew each other straight away I knew it was used by locals so if it was good enough for them, it was good enough for me. I was showing a table which I was told was a reclaimed door and looking around the it was a real mixture of old reclaimed furniture which gave a rustic look. I chose a cup of tea, which came in a lovely blue pot and cup and saucer to match , I managed to squeeze out three small cups of tea. I’ve been chose the falafel in a baguette with cheese and toasted, This came with salad garnish very enjoyable. I’m looking around the café I noticed there was a lovely smell coming from the kitchen. When I asked one of the staff I was told that we bake cakes freshly every day. I noticed too it was a dog friendly place. So next time I’m visiting my brother in Halstead. I will definitely pop in try something new . One thing I notice was a dog friendly

So disappointing that the member of staff decided to take the mickey out of one of the customers, whilst still in earshot of us. If it was in front of the customer you might of thought they were "just having a laugh", but to do it away in another room is just plain rude. What did they say about us? The youngsters were amazing in the service, pity about those elder who should know better. Food was good. Never coming back though.

Positives: 1. Friendly staff 2. Good range of food available for a cafe 3. Delicious cake Negatives: 1. There’s a dog that lives there which was wandering round under the tables etc whilst we were trying to eat. This was especially annoying when I was trying to nurse my baby and it was sniffing round her feet. No one said when we went in there would be a dog wandering round, it seemed friendly enough but for me personally I I had known I wouldn’t have ordered any food and would have gone elsewhere. 2. No butter on the sandwiches Overall I would say this was a nice basic cafe rather than a posher delli type establishment, nice staff, a bit hectic perhaps. I wouldn’t go again due to the dog.

Today was my third visit to this cafe and I wasn’t disappointed. The cafe is warm and cosy and welcoming which is reflected by the lovely service. All the food is home made and so tasty. I particularly recommend the warmed cheese scones which are the cheesiest I’ve ever had and are huge with the soup of the day is always really tasty. The sausage rolls are excellent too.

On a mini break in the area, popped into this place for breakfast. Nothing outstanding (except for the bacon), but everything they did, they did very well. Friendly, efficient service, clean and comfortable. Good range of menu options. And really tasty bacon. If they were to improve anything, it would be the kitchen ventilation - steam and cooking smells tend to permeate the premises. Made a repeat visit the following day - and this is unlikely to be the last. Oh, and did I mention the bacon?

Visited for lunch after recommendation. What an amazing cafe. Super friendly, welcoming helpful owner. I ordered the green eggs - 2 perfectly poached eggs served on a bed of pesto flavoured spinach with Parmesan served with bacon a side of granary toast. My husband ordered 2 fried eggs - cooked just as ordered served on white toast followed by a lovely slice of homemade Victoria sponge. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Haven't been in since lockdown - they have renovated and there is more seating and overall feels more spacious - the coffee is great but they used to do lovely cheese scones - had them today and they were flavourless and the people beside us were not impressed with their sandwiches. We visited here for breakfast as my wife had been here before with a friend. The breakfast was very good. Though the options on the menu are limited I was able to swap some items at no extra charge. I had sausage, fried eggs and toast, my wife had French toast. Good quality sausage, well cooked eggs, the only slight issue which stopped this being a five star review is the French toast was quite thin whereas we would usually expect French toast to be thicker. But it's a small gripe and we would recommend this venue for breakfast, although I'm sure any meal here would be good.

Found this cafe on a Friday morning after New Year, while travelling home to Derbyshire. We did not know Sudbury and stopped to find somewhere for a quick coffee, but when we found this cafe decided to go for a full breakfast. We both love an English breakfast, and can honestly say that this is one of the best ones we have had - good quality, tasty ingredients, nicely cooked and presented. Also at a very reasonable price. Everyone was very friendly and it was certainly a good start to our journey home

I visited TwenTeaOne with my Mum and my Niece, upon entering it looked very cosy with little tables set up for couples and a counter on one side (to pay etc) we easily found a seat and had no problems with space to pull out the chair and to sit on it.We had a look at a menu and decided on what drinks we were going to have, a coffee, a hot chocolate and a coke, the lady serving us was very helpful when we asked what cakes they had on offer, not only telling us what there was but pointing them out in the glass fronted cabinet, we each made our choice, and within 5 minutes, we each had our bit of cake and our drink, the hot chocolate came with squirty cream, mini marshmallows and maltesers! I would definitely recommend TwenTeaOne, it was an all round pleasurable and friendly experience xx

Upon arrival in Sudbury we fancied a nibble, with such a large amount of tea rooms to choose from this one took our fancy. The milkshakes turned up in a mason jar, which looked fabulous and will be using the idea for ourselves. The scones came out and they were warm, which only enhanced the amazing taste. The decor was quirky but tasteful and complimented the quaint tea room design. Overall a fantastic experience and for the cheap price we payed for scones and milkshake for two we can not complain.

Visit the pub for a band night recently and very disappointed in our experience. Band were fantastic but service from pub was appalling. The pub had advertised the evening as a live band and pizza night so would have surely staffed the pub appropriately but very much not the case-queues of people at the bar every time we went to get another drink and waiting nearly an HOUR AND A HALF for a pizza!!! If we had come out to the pub for a proper meal this would still be unacceptable but this was just for 2 pizzas of all things?!?! Really need to work on staffing as this is poor service by anyone’s standards. The worst part was that whilst we were in the long queue to place our order, a regular walked to the front of the queue and handed the barman his pizza order which was put through as a priority above those who had been waiting in line! Definitely in two minds now as to whether to return for the Beer Festival in August.

This has become our go to pub when travelling home to the Netherlands via Harwich. Just a short detour from the main road will bring you to this lovely spot. The garden is pretty and usually we eat outside. Weather was a bit nippy this time so we found a spot indoors. Very charming and quirky. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot. We've sampled most things on the menu over the last few years but I have to say my steak and ale pie was particularly good this time. Such a shame that we can never fit in a dessert.
