The Lodge Restuarant in Babergh

We chose the Lodge for my dad's 80th birthday celebrations. We could not have chosen anywhere better. There were 22 of us. The food was amazing, service impeccable and the Staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We will definitely return, as will so many of the first timers in the party. A real hidden gem

We're a group of 6, 2 called in ill so informed the staff, the 2 then called when we were eating to say on the way staff were happy to change things, produced the food no concerns, the staff were great attentive and happy to let us sit and chat, easily the best Sunday roast in the area, absolutely fantastic

Food and service was amazing as usual, was my sister's birthday, they made a special Birthday desert for is is too share.

Have only just found this little gem of a place and our second visit firstly during the week which was fantastic and second being yesterday on Sunday. It was one of the best roasts we have ever had and we loved every dessert on the menu and the ones we had were fantastic. There is also a good childrens menu. The staff are outstanding and could not be more helpful, the restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere would be hard to beat. It is tremendous value for the size portions served, you will not come away hungry however you can have a smaller main meal if required. We are going to make this one of our regular places to frequent and can’t wait to return and we do highly recommend it.

We have been visiting this restaurant for a few years and never experienced a bad meal. Always amazing friendly staff, always accommodate where they can, excellent food and good price. A hidden gem and always recommend.

Debb served us tonight, she was friendly, attentive and nothing seemed too much. Will definitely be returning and recommending it to others

If you are not local it's a little hard to find, but well worth the effort.Lots of parking, great decor, lovely staff and absolutely fantastic food, you must try it . We are going back very soon.

We popped in on the off chance of table for lunch. Was told that we do usually have to book but as they weren’t too busy we could find a table and order. We haven’t ever been here before and the restaurant was lovely. Nice atmosphere and the staff working were lovely. We both had a roast, gammon and a chicken. They were absolutely beautiful. The roast potatoes and the parsnip shavings on top were especially delicious. Thank you so much and we definitely will be back again soon.

Lovely meals with an artistic twist served by friendly staff. Couples to large groups catered for. Recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Great place for lunch and evening dining.

Thankyou for hosting my husband 's80th birthday celebration, last weekend everything was perfect, staff, food and atmosphere, highly recommend your roasts.

The food here is lovely and the service is really good. The only downside to our visit was that one of the bar staff/waitress was carrying a dog about and actually went behind the bar with it and then served food, l hope she had washed her hands before doing so. I have no problems with dogs but l don't think they should be carried about by staff members.

The food was amazing & plentiful options, polite service from staff but only issue it was a cold venue, staff put on radiators but very chilly.

Sunday roast was magnificent, huge portions and delicious! Fruit crumble was just perfect!😋

Nice friendly place to go for lunch, lots of choice and Veggie options. Had a very filling sandwich and fries. Plenty of parking.

Amazing roast , good menu , nice atmosphere, amazing service.

What a hidden gem! Food tasty and beautifully presented, drinks were great and service fantastic! The goats cheese and tomato tart was bursting with flavour 😋 fish and chips fried perfectly , steak devine and chili scrummy and the kids loved their burgers and ice creams. And the cherry hot chocolate.... just WOW. Can't wait to return!

The meal was very nice but I think a 30 minute wait for our meal and it really wasn't busy at lunchtime seemed a bit of a long time. We only ordered simple food too. The staff were very nice but I'm afraid there is no atmosphere here. I wish you all the best.

Had a family celebration for 15 people, food was excellent, service was great and the cost was very reasonable. Well done and thanks to the staff !

We stopped here for lunch after travelling back from a week holiday in Norfolk after seeing the high rating. Very impressed, the food was so tasty and great value. Big portions and good quality. Friendly service and really was something for everyone. Highly recommend

We went for Sunday Roast and they were super helpful and accommodating for us. Apparently it’s been recently opened a new. And the food is exquisite the service brilliant! Couldn’t recommend highly enough :) thanks for our lovely meals!

Was a little dubious when I pulled up at what looked like a carvan club house type venue. However the staff were brilliant and the Sunday roast looked and tasted fantastic.

Great customer service, allowed me to bring a homemade birthday cake for my wife's birthday. Huge roast dinners, excellent atmosphere, reasonably priced.

We had a fantastic Christmas dinner here - wonderful food, well presented, and attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and there was was a wide range of options available. If you’ve not been and given this place a try, you really should!

We dined here with friends a couple of weeks ago. The service was first class and the food very well cooked. Good value and a pleasant atmosphere made for a very enjoyable lunch with our friends.

We have never been here to eat in all the years we have lived at the end of the road. We had a lunchtime special which is 2 course for £12. I had the pate and lasagna. My partner had soup and fish and chips. All were very good sizes. My partner was very hungry so ordered the nachos not realising how big they were going to be. They were very nice. Service was good too. Will certainly he back.

This is a great restaurant -The 2 course menu if a little limited presents great value at less than £12 per head.The presentation of the food is first class.This is not a restaurant to visit in a hurry as food is freshly cooked so service is relatively slow.But this place is a little gem.

It's a shame that the place is that far out of town because the place is very nice. The food was good too and the service was good too. We booked a Saturday evening and It was empty. Only two more tables with customers which gave us a lot of confort, tbh. I've been told that It's completely different for lunch time though, where You'll need to book well in advance (up to 3 weeks?) as It will be full of families enjoying the facilities. I would recommend the Restaurant. I liked It.

One of my all-time favourite restaurants. The staff are lovely, the food never disappoints and is superb value for money considering what you get.

Met up with some friends. Friendly guy at the bar and very attentive. However, wouldn't expect any less as we were the only ones there! The food was good, presentation and service excellent but seemed a little overpriced especially the desserts. Maybe you need to introduce some mid-week offers for dinner, not just lunch to bring in the customers I would definitely return if this was the case but always a bit worrying when we're the only ones there. I had never heard of this place. I think it's been going for a while too.

Met here for a family birthday party. The menu was straight forward no nonsense food which suited both young and old in the group. From the outset in booking I was reassured by the care and attention taken by the staff. On the day Scott was a complete gent and made us all feel relaxed and welcome. The food was well priced and tasty for our relatively large group. Plenty of parking, easy to find and comfortable for a long lunch. Big thanks to all staff for helping to make my mothers 80th special. A good venue for family outing.

My friend and I booked The Lodge for a pre-Christmas get together - I had visited the Lodge previously but my it was my friend's first visit.

Went to the Lodge for a Christmas Meal after someone recommended to us that the food was good. Had a wonderful meal and the staff were brilliant would recommend this and will certainly be returni g on s regular basis.

Eat here regularly and always have good food and wonderful service with a smile,never disappointed

I have been to the lodge two weeks running now. The service is second to none, the food is very good and the price is good too! The staff are extremely hard working and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Very I impressed with this place

Looking for somewhere for a Thursday lunch thought we'd give this a go. Part of a leisure "park" there is also a bar area and several tables. Restaurant appears to be quite popular and certainly the choice of dishes (including a couple of vegetarian options) was good. Set price menu was very good value. Good drinks choice as well.

Elegí este restaurante para una comida de cumpleaños milestone y estoy muy contenta de haberlo hecho. Todo mi grupo (incluyendo los niños) disfrutamos de la comida, servicio y ambiente. El amable personal realmente no ir la milla extra e incluso vestidos, sirve, ternera y envuelto un pastel nos habíamos traído en más temprano en el día, así que mis clientes podrían llevar algo de distancia. Después de la comida pasamos mucho tiempo charlando y aunque era bien pasada la hora de cierre no nos hicieron sentir apresurado. Gracias a todos por darme un tiempo tan maravilloso.
