Best sandwiches I've ever tasted, great value too.

Nice layout and plenty of choices

Wow, just wow Cycling through and found the most beautiful, amazingly, well stocked delicatessen. Bought an expresso and bacon and brie toastie for a pit stop, and the lady kindly allowed me to choose any condiments to add. (Chilli jam 😋) Both were priced extremely competitive, and the taste was delicious. I'm was impressed I purchased local honey( Boxford) and chocolate brownie, scotch egg with chorizo, sausage roll with bacon, and anchovy pate. It is extremely well priced for very quality produce. The young man was very friendly and both the ladies were engaging and very knowledgeable. The cheese selection they offer is has good as noted in West & East London delicatessens, and they even offered to source any cheese I wanted. I will certainly take I their kind offer and also return for coffee and a snack on my cycle through Essex and Suffolk borders. 10/10 thank you 😊

Needed a sandwich and didn’t want a cold ready packed one from a chain. It didn’t disappoint, fresh ingredients and made on the spot. Tasted phenomenal! It looked like one of those overfilled sandwiches from America you drool over on instagram. Thanks 🤩

I try soooo hard not to get lunch from here too often because I could easily spend a fortune. Not that the prices aren’t reasonable, because they very much are. It’s just that the second I walk in I want to buy all the things. Beautiful, huge, generously filled sandwiches, delicious cakes and much more - and the staff are so pleasant and helpful. Sandwiches can also be toasted. I had a toasted coronation chicken one today which was apparently an unusual request. I can report it was amazing.

Always a treat to pop into Ferguson's for a scotch egg and a sandwich. Maybe a bit of cake too. Always delicious.

Had a egg and bacon sandwich today and absolutely disgusting 🤢 mayonnaise and very very salty took too bites and in the bin it went won't b using the place again food is disgusting 😔😭

Purchased a Ham Salad roll. Wafer thin ham and small slice of tomato and a small amount lettuce. Margerine used instead of butter. Awful, complete rip off.

Fresh cut bread, amazing fillings. Imagine your wife or partner making your favourite sandwich (tastes better than when we make it? Exactly) these guys will make you that loverly sandwich. Btw my wife still makes the best sandwich (in case she’s reading). This is good old original sandwich making before your eyes. No pre-packed best before dates here. Fresh, proper food, made to order ;) I love homemade x

Small but mighty shop. dedicated staff and beautiful shop/cheeses are delicious as are olives/ bread is from lavenham.

I come here for my sandwich when I am on my own for lunch. I also buy some of their specialities such as cheese, jams and biscuits. They have very good bread delivered daily. Lovely ladies to serve you!

Have popped in for sandwiches a few times since moving to the area. Have never been disappointed! Julie offers a wide range of fillings (along with other treats!) and all sandwiches are freshly made, with generous fillings. Prices are reasonable and the sandwiches are beautifully prepared on thick freshly sliced bread. You won’t go hungry! Amazing find. Keep up the good work!

Ferguson's is a great deli on the busy High Street of Hadleigh. I often buy freshly made bread from a local bakery here and also love the choices of cheese. Today I decided on a sandwich. The sandwiches are made to order, with the bread freshly cut by hand. All of the ingredients are fresh and fillings try to escape the bread! Excellent sandwich menu and very good value. I just had a boring cheese, pickle and salad (because it's my favourite). The bonus is all the packaging is bio-degradable unlike a sandwich purchased from the supermarket!

Julie and her team make the best sandwiches around. The shop is an Aladdin’s cave of goodies from around the world - and local too! The sandwiches are so well filled and great value for money, with a great selection to choose from, with a daily special too. Visit here and you won’t be disappointed

Lovely deli in Hadleigh that makes a huge selection of sandwiches and salads. Very generous with sandwich fillings. Great cheese counter and other 'goodies' around the shop. If in Hadleigh a MUST to buy your lunch or picnnic

First time here as visiting the area, cannot recommend this place enough, sandwich filling was shall we say very generous and tasted amazing. Fresh filling and very fresh bread made to order. Our daughter had the scotch egg which she throughly enjoyed. Lady who served us was very helpful and lovely. Support the local shops and buy a sarnie from here 😀

Went here today and order an egg mayo and bacon roll to take out.. At £3.40 this was good value and tasted nice. Would visit again.

Friendly and helpful service, especially with the array of sandwiches they make to order so everything is fresh. The cheese counter in superb, with an excellent range, and the shop is filled with plenty of other goodies including locally baked bread and many items difficult to find elsewhere. It's a little gem on Hadleigh High Street!

Love this place. The cheeses are to die for, and they have an amazing selection of store cupboard deli stuff (the sort you might find in Nigella Lawson's kitchen). They also do a fine range of takeaway sandwiches and fresh bread. Well worth a visit.

This is a wonderful deli which, amongst many other things, does takeaway food (ordering some then taking it down to the river for a picnic is a plan for the future). It is not a restaurant and it is not a café

Literally the best sandwich £3 can buy. Unbelievably good value for a freshly made sandwich weighing about 1kg! Thick cut fresh bread, loads of filling and tonnes to choose from.We went for chicken, chorizo, salad, mayo and sunblushed tomatoes on granary + mature cheddar with red onion and coleslaw on granary. Both delicous and FILLING.Locally supplied baked goods too - pork pies, sausage rolls, cheese biscuits, cake etc, and not to mention a shop full of deli good too (oils, spreads, condiments, chutnies, pastas, crackers...) - will definitely be getting a Christmas hamper from there.Julie is super friendly and accomodating - whatever combo you want, she is more than happy to do it.

For such a small concern (or perhaps because it's small) this shop is incredible. If they don't have what you are looking for they will either try to order it for you or suggest where else you can get it if you need it quickly. Their range of products is extremely good and I can't recommend their cheeses or bread highly enough. The sandwich range is superb and excellent value - I don't think I could make such good sandwiches at home for the price. Most definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful little deli. Superb sandwiches (I shouldn't say that really because then there will be more busy when I'm rushing in to order one of my favourite sandwiches). Wonderful deli selection too. Some really special cheeses that are hard to find elsewhere (e.g. Bleu des Causses)

The sandwiches are very tasty and you can have a variety of fillings. They will make them to order if you phone ahead or you can have the sandwich made whilst you wait. Very good value as the bread is always cut thickly (doorstops) but they will cut a sandwich in half if your appetite is small e.g.one slice of bread instead of two. Lots of local businesses use them for providing food for meetings. The deli shop sells a very good variety of interesting items!

I've just had a chicken pesto sandwich from Ferguson's Del in Hadleigh, it was delicious, The granary bread was locally baked, all the ingredients were freshly cut. I usually need two sandwiches to fill me up but this was full meal!

Huge sandwiches filled with mouth watering fillings. Too much for me to eat in one go. Very busy but good service. Cakes looked divine, must try one next time. Obviously a quality delicatessen.

Superb freshly-baked bread, great cheeses and pates, a nice range of gorgeous cakes and biscuits baked by someone in Layham, and lots more. Friendly service too. Can get busy on weekday lunchtimes, as the sandwiches are so popular!

Fergusons Deli is one of my favourite shops. It always has the nibbles I like, interesting cheeses and always something nice to try and buy. Julie works very hard at having a thriving business and even bakes her own sausage rolls (available Friday and Saturdays only). This is definitely a shop to visit.

Well, Julie and her team really have put so much into this magic little Deli. It is crammed full of so many delicious things, some you may never have thought you wanted. Amazing cheese, wonderful fresh bread, cakes, preserves all served with a smile. Hadleigh is becoming more prosperous with some great new stores opening but this place is so special. We love it.

Since Julie has taken it over the quality and variety has drastically improved. Bread is the best in Hadleigh and the deli counter is always good. The staff are amazing and always welcoming and friendly. I hope the locals appreciate it and support it. Hadleigh would be the worse without it.
