Such a great place to go for coffee and catch up with friends or study. Easy relaxed atmosphere, i had a soup panini deal which was lovely and good value too!

What an awesome find. We were staying near by and thought we would try. The food was amazing. The presentation and taste was amazing, this is definitely one of the best meals we have tasted.

We have had several roast dinners here, the food is very good, service is good, lovely atmosphere with lots of friendly locals.

A proper pub. Friendly staff and regulars, accommodating and uncomplicated atmosphere and cracking food. What more can you ask for? We came with a dog and baby and everyone was catered for. If you're looking for silver spoon service, this isn't the place for you. If you want good food, drink and a comfortable space to relax, it's perfect. We'll be back.

Great food and great prices , this pub offers bargain meals for older folk some lunchtimes but the ordinary menu is very reasonable as well . Service was great and portions and standard of food very good

A group of us stayed at the hotel for a get together and in spite of ordering the food the week earlier the hotel was unable to deliver all that was required to the point of delaying the starter for one of our party which did not go down well. The rooms were below par and certainly required a great deal of attention from blocked drains to no water flow and broken heating. I would be very careful when booking this establishment as it would appear that management are not able to fix these problems

Booked this as a 60th birthday treat. Walked in and waited for someone. Someone told me and myhusband where to sit. No welcome whatsoever. Polite service from the server. Ordered full english and eggs royale. Eggs were overcooked. Sent back without fuss and told we would not be charged for this item. Had to ask for butter for the toast(it was covered on the table). Had to ask for salt and pepper. No pepper in the pepper pot. Husband got up and asked for pepper. Then there was a door open so it was freezing cold and I had to put my coat on. They did not charge for the eggs royale and I would not expect them to. Not much fun eating when the other person has finished. I guess it we were just very unlucky. Wont return. Sad memoryfor my 60th birthday morning.

Lovely surroundings but both the service and the food were of much poorer quality than on our previous visit. Our food came out in dribs and drabs so that some meals.werw nearly finished before others got theirs. Coffee was cold and dietary needs were not catered for at all well. In fact the staff seemed reluctant to try to help regarding this need. The food was not of good enough quality to justify the price. Having eaten there regularly we were all very disappointed and will now thing twice before returning.

Arrived at pub after our hotel Restaurant let us down and really glad our hotel did , as we had the best sunday roast possible Everything cooked to perfection compliments to everyone The staff were very busy but had time for you and nothing was too much trouble Highly recommend this place to all

Fantastic afternoon tea in a beautiful environment, very attentive staff; especially Kaz who was so friendly and helpful and couldn’t have done enough for us. Both food and teas paired really well, lots of choices!
