Fantastic princess afternoon tea with my daughter today! The princesses were absolutely brilliant, they really captured the princess characters and were so friendly and fun with the children.... They kept my daughter busy and smiling the whole time. The food was exquisite as per usual at The Swan (I have their afternoon tea quite regularly and it never disappoints.) Will definitely be booking the next Princess Afternoon Tea and would DEFINITELY recommend! A fantastic time :)

I'll start by saying we have a dog and although not allowed in the staff could not have made us more comfortable, bringing out a heater which was perfect. The gentleman looking after us was extremely friendly. The food was amazing all cooked fresh, and had a great selection of drinks on tap. Cannot recommend this place enough will be back very soon :)

Fabulous place to watch sport and grab a bite to eat when in Sudbury. Staff were very helpful and attentive the number of TV screens made watching football a great experience

What's wrong with a pot of tea with 2 cups? Curtly told to sit, twice, no time to look at cakes. Nice tea. Fresh cakes. Chill

The food here is excellent along with friendly service. Had an excellent authentic veg curry. Best I've had outside of an Indian restaurant!

Never been before as we live in Sussex. Attended a birthday party at this wonderful establishment, and it was superb. The wines are sublime, the food highly and enjoyable and we couldn’t fault the service. All such courteous staff.

Ordered large cod with large chips, only a handful of awful chips, couldn't eat them. Cod was good. It seems they are going down hill, the chips are getting worse every time we visit.

Run Down Foul Language , Cigarette Break more important that helping other staff, so too feeding the Birds with 5 unopened loaves of bread, Could not see the water in the pond, just bread!

What fantastic service,we did not have enough cash but they insisted we take the food with what we had. Which was a 50% discount.. Absolutely fantastic service. I will certainly go back. The food was fresh and delicious. I cannot praise them enough.

We went at a very quiet time on a Sunday so had the reduced menu. We were quick to make our order however they were very slow with food and drinks. The waitress was unsure of the menu and what the meals consisted of, when she asked a colleague, they were rude and dismissive. When we were waiting, we were asked what we were waiting for? Understand being forgotten about on a busy night but it was just us and one other table. The coke was flat, the spoon was dirty. The haddock and mash was OK but didn’t make up for the slow and rude service. Overpriced. One waitress recommended to another customer to use Just Eat and we wish we did too.

Fantastic food,but the place is freezing cold and waiting time is terrible, by the time our food arrived our tea was cold (did give us another pot for free)

Lovely pub, great garden out the back. Locals friendly, gets busy, but was an Easter Sunday, so to be expected. Friendly bar staff, great food. Perfect location for the nearby lake! Dog friendly

Food was delicious but we had a 2 and 1/2 hr wait for the delivery! When ordering at 6.40pm we were told it would arrive between 7pm and 8.30pm… it arrived at 9.10pm!! Gone past the hungry stage. They shouldn’t promise a time if they can’t deliver and they shouldn’t take orders if they can’t stick to the times they have given.

Wonderful welcome from the hosts. The staff were friendly and very helpful. First time in a restaurant with our four legged friend Roxy (a very reactive Jack Russell), the staff were amazing with her and we felt relaxed. Lovely choice and quality of food beautifully presented. We had an excellent meal catching up. The village is delightful. Thank you everyone.

We called in for a pint and light lunch after a morning’s country walk and were not disappointed. This is a ‘proper’ pub that also serves a limited range of food and it is in a rural location. It is good to see it surviving...
