Couldn’t end up eating due to several intolerances, however the man on the phone couldn’t have been more helpful and did offer to whip me up a curry (unfortunately, my fussiness did come out and I don’t like curry).

An excellent little find in the Suffolk countryside. The host could not have been more curtious, fitting 7 of us in. Food was delish and the potions very generous. Excellent value for money - the puddings were epic.

Positives : Friendly landlady. Nice burger, chips and salad. Not to my taste the dessert - Nougat, caramel and peanut lumpy bumpy. Awful choice I made. Nice bit of music playing. Negatives : This place needs a good clean, a lot of dust and massive cobwebs. It needs a bit of a spruce up.

I have visited this pub twice. I refer to it as “baddadan pub” because they have a rather large sound system and it happens to be when the staff turned it on, Baddadan - Chase and Status happened to be on radio 1. Anywho, first time I visited, I had came down with one of my pal’s and his other half for some afternoon lunch, I had a panini which was rather nice. I could taste good quality ham and cheese. Upon second visit, I was quite disappointed with the service, 3 of my pals and I had stopped here to have potential lunch, the staff didn’t acknowledge us, we all had a pint which was delightful so I guess that makes up for it.

Easter Sunday roast at the White Horse with a delicious mixed fruit crumble and custard desert, for £20 a head. Friendly welcome from the staff here. Good selection of real ale including unusually a mild on tap. Open fire roaring keeping everyone toasty. Generous portion of both main and desert and a simple but varied menu. If you are a camper the pub has a large flat field at the rear with room for 10-12 caravans/tents. Pitches are £15 pn for caravans with electric an extra £5 pn. With the pub in hand would make a lovely weekend stopover.

2 friends took me here for my birthday lunch yesterday. Unfortunately we were so cold it spoilt the occasion. One of my friends was getting over double pneumonia and she was actually shivering, we were all really cold. The meat pie and chips were very nice but the broccoli and carrots were too hard, mine went back and more were cooked, the broccoli was a bit better but carrots still hard. I enjoyed my pie. The curry one of us had was nice and she ate all of it. The 3 of us enjoyed our deserts.

One of the best country pubs. If they can stock at least 4 real ales ALL the time at around £4.00 to £4.30 a pint ,then why can't others closer to busy towns. Those who tell me tyey can't afford to chuck away "off"ale that's not been drunk. No demand they say. Laziness I think. This pub's hospitality is excellent also. Requested a twin room but arrived to be shown into a double. Couldn't be changed until the following day apparently! Went down for breakfast on Saturday morning at about 8:30 (breakfast served from 8 - 10). No staff apart from the cleaner. She kindly tried to provide some tea, milk and cereals - and bread. So we made do without a cooked breakfast (included in the rate we paid). At about 9:10 a young lady appeared who offered us a cooked breakfast just as we were about to leave the restaurant. No apology. No kitchen staff. Just awful. I did get an apology from the General Manager later that day and Sunday morning breakfast was fine. Certainly won't use this hotel again.
