Had lunch with a friend having been recommended to this restaurant- lovely friendly staff and quaint old building and very nice lunch

Fabulous evening at number 10 for dinner and drinks. The service was spot on, very friendly and welcoming with beautiful food. Excellent seasonal menu and couldn’t recommend anymore.

Having had dinner booked here for quite some time, our party of 4 were seated in the restaurant early, albeit it was still busy. A great selection of wine to choose from, we opted for a white and red, along a limited selection of ales and cocktails. Starters consisted of goats cheese and tomato salad (apparently very good), garlic mushrooms and a confit duck salad. Mains were salmon fillet, stick Asian noodles and a lamb curry, followed by two cheese boards. All of the food was packed full of flavour, piping hot and the portion sizes were filling. Friendly, hard working staff topped a great evening off.

We’ve eaten there three times during our visit to Lavenham, which goes to show how good it is! The food is simple, beautifully prepared, with friendly efficient service.

We selected this restaurant based on its Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. All round good experience and an enjoyable meal on "Pasta and Pizza" night. Reasonable price too.

As always, just like every other visit another amazing lunch - they managed to fit us in on a very busy Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, there was a lovely buzz and great atmosphere as they were so busy, but despite that you were great with a lovely warm welcome and you did not feel rushed. Service exceptional despite a very busy afternoon. The food was tasty, hot, plentiful and high quality. Can't wait until the next visit.

As usual, a warm and friendly welcome backed up by well-timed, professional service. The set menu was appetising, good value and delicious. Lovely Chardonnay to accompany the meals. The garden area, delightful in the sunny early Autumn weather, is simply but well furnished. Number 10 is one of my very favourite local venues. It never disappoints. Thankyou - a lovely lunch.

Lavenham and s quiet on a Tuesday evening in early October, and we’d tried one pub and thought we would try number 10 given the high ratings. Lovely old building typical of Lavenham. The team were welcoming and helpful. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, which seems very popular, but had a bottle of Mendoza Malbec and a cheese board sitting at a barrel high table in the bar. Very nice atmosphere, good wine and cheese at a reasonable price. We highly recommend a visit

We'd been recommended this place and scouted it out at 5pm to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine. We liked the ambience so snagged the last table. The menu was large enough to dwell over, but small enough to not get so overwhelmed with options. The food was to a very good standard, the service warm and friendly. The price is what you'd expect for Lavenham. On receiving the bill, I noticed that they hadn't included the four glasses of wine we'd consumed earlier. Honesty being the best policy... I mentioned this omission and they amended the bill. But even so, for four large glasses of decent wine and two courses for my wife and I and it came to less than £100. Highly recommend this venue. Good selection of wine, great food and a lovely atmosphere.

Poor value for money in terms of portion size. Beamed and period premises impressive.Service friendly and prompt but based on pricing g point and portion presentation felt short changed.Overall dining experience was lacking and some menu items were over priced. My king prawn salad at £18 had 6 prawns in a very meagre salad bowl ..My partners salmon dish at over £20 was tasty but again meagre for the price . Cheese board at £12 was again lacking with very small cuts of 4 cheeses and 6 biscuits .7 grapes and a small bowl of onion jam. Disappointing but despite nice venue and friendly service I would not recommend or return.

It should be called 10 out of 10 😁 not number 10! Absolutely fantastic in every way. The food, the staff and the atmosphere all brilliant. A must visit when in the area.

We had not visited since Covid but were not disappointed on any level when we returned last evening. Its such a lovely well maintained restaurant in a stunning historic building with different rooms for eating and an outside area too. Staff were very friendly and the food excellent with a very good ambience due to being full.

Had a lovely meal here last night. Wonderful old building, we sat outside in the courtyard. Great service, lovely food (Steak pie, Liver & bacon, Goats cheese and half pint of prawns) and wine (Excellent value Rose from Provence). Easy 5 stars!

The service is second to none, coupled with excellent food made a most pleasant evening. Not only were the staff extremely attentive, accommodating and especially helpful when selecting wines, food was also presented well and brought out efficiently. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food and produce that goes into it - the menu is also creative and inspired. As a typical Tudor building, the interior is its own experience, with beautiful timber ceilings and lots of small rooms which gives the restaurant a cosy and intimate atmosphere. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and a definite recommendation for visitors.

What a Find! We popped in here on the off chance of getting a snack but it was so lovely and the menu sounded so good we ended up having a delicious three course meal. What a surprise ,didn’t realise it would be so nice inside quite roomy and interesting ,we just popped in for a quick drink but ended up staying longer as the staff were so friendly ,and the wine I chose was so good ,I had to take the name of it ,hope I can buy it ,this is my hubby with Rod who was great fun such a nice guy ,wish we’d found it sooner ,,do try this place if you’re in Lavenham,you can have meals aswell ,which we didn’t get to try ,we were moving on the next morning

During our trip to Lavenham we decided to try out number ten having read all the amazing reviews...so pleased we did ! We had a Saturday night dinner from 6-8 pm and the service and food were exceptional. Lovely decor and personal but not too OTT service coupled with the beautiful food really made for a fabulous evening. We will definitely visit again...thank you xx
