A huge thank you to Paris and Ben & team for our wonderful Christmas meal at the Royal Oak this evening. Superb food with a warm friendly atmosphere and lots of special xmas feeling. Highly recommended.

We decided to try Shelly's for the first time but she has decided to not open the business for a day to put up Christmas decorations, not the best reason to shut a business for a day lol 😆Just so you know I did think before I wrote this & we was standing outside your bistro when someone said to you are you open & you replied with no because we are putting up the Christmas decorations today. So why would I think it was for any other reason than what you actually said

I went with my mum and daughter. My mum and I had the festive afternoon tea and my daughter ordered a Nutella waffle with bubblegum ice-cream. My mum and I were very impressed with our festive afternoon tea. The sandwiches were on thick fresh bread with hearty fillings. We had four types of waffles, Xmas biscuits,chocolate, candy canes, scones with cream and jam, crisps, coleslaw and strawberries dipped in chocolate.all was delicious. The afternoon tea was very nicely presented too. It's my daughter's favourite place and she ordered her fave waffle dish. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

I love this delightful café, the atmosphere is relaxing especially in the winter months with the log burner stove keeping the place warm and cozy. The staff are genuinely friendly, taking the time for a little chat, their warmth makes the café feel like a home away from home. The menu has a great selection of everything from pastries to heartier meals. I throughly recommend their sausage sandwich at breakfast with a great americano. All in all, this café has truly struck the perfect balance of great coffee, a loving atmosphere.

Lovely teacake! For less than £5 for a teacake and a glass of Pure orange juice is a good deal. The only negative is the limited amount of butter but otherwise worth it.

our club meets here every month and today we had our Christmas dinner the quality of the food was excellent as it always is but todays Christmas dinner was exceptional top quality and the service was impeccable the young ladies worked so hard and could not be faulted all in all an excellent well run pub with great staff and quality food
