Can only give 5 stars as that’s all there is! Absolutely amazing. Friendly and welcoming staff, lovely ambience and the food - excellent. The calves liver cooked to perfection as was the pork belly. A lovely fish pie and tagliatelle. Well worth the cost.

Oh my word!! What amazing food, the bubble & squeak starter is out of this world and the courses to follow did not disappoint. There were 6 in my party and we were all extremely happy. The atmosphere is great and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend

We’re lucky enough to have this wonderful restaurant virtually on our doorstep. We would consider ourselves fussy when it comes to dining out (and at home!) and to date, Gibsons has not disappointed. Always a warm welcome when you enter with staff being attentive, friendly and there to provide you with a pleasant experience. Lovely ambiance with cosy, but not too cosy seating arrangements. The food and drink is of a high standard, which nowadays with so many crap ‘restaurants’ feels like a bit of a rarity in itself. I’m typically cautious when it comes to recommending anything to anyone but would stick my neck out on this occasion and say you won’t be disappointed. Book in advance and enjoy!

Staying 10 miles away. Saw Gibsons Bistro on the Internet. Menu looked good and thought we'd give them a try. We weren't disappointed. Wonderful food and the staff were great and cheerful. We booked another night. Weren't disappointed the second time either. Thank you. If we're in the area again we'll definitely be visiting Gibsons again.

So good, we ate there two nights running. Lovely staff and the best food I've eaten in a long time.

Staying locally, for a seaside weekend get away, we stumbled across Gibson's and the smells coming from inside were enough for us to try and get Alastair minute booking for Sunday lunch. Fortunately, they could accommodate is, so we strolled down and were greeted by more delicious aromas and cheerful friendly staff. We both had the roast beef, and can honestly say it was the best roast we've ever had (and that includes Blacklock in London!) The beef was tender & tasty, potatoes crisp and fluffy, carrot and parsnip were subtle with honey, and the cauliflower cheese was good enough to persuade my cauliflower hating companion to eat it all. Beautifully cooked greens and a luscious gravy completed the feast. We polished it off in short order, with just enough room to fit in a white chocolate and passion fruit brulee/sticky toffee treat to end. Lovely staff, quick service, reasonable price and utterly delicious food. I only wish we lived closer!

It’s officially been over a week since I came in for dinner at Gibsons bistro and will truthfully admit I have not stopped thinking about my meal ever since!! As a lone diner I was treated amazingly by the front of house staff, all 3 courses tasted fantastic and arrived swiftly aswell as just being presented beautifully overall. This is the type of restaurant I’d move to Cromer for just so I could visit more regularly. 🫶🫶 If you ever get the chance to visit for yourself I’d highly recommend you try the bubble & squeak, the pan seared chicken breast and the sticky toffee pudding!!

We discovered this fab place on the last day of our holiday in July and had the best meal of the week! The service was superb from all we met, including the George Clooney lookalike owner! The food was delicious, the prices were fair, we were made to feel so welcome! What's not to love about this place? All 3 of us came away delighted with our last evening away from home ❤️

The best food I have eaten in Cromer… ever! From start to finish, it was delicious. I visit every few months and now I have my ‘go-to’ place, which is a blessing because Cromer is real slim pickings. I wish I had taken photos to leave this review, I will next time. Thank you to you all, especially the chefs!!!! Great work!

11/10. Definitely a must-go in Cromer. The slow-cooked pork belly was great, my personal preference was to have the sauce on the side instead of on the skin? But that’s nothing compared to the quality of the dish. The potato on the side was beyond expectations too. Was debating whether I should get a dessert but I’m thankful at the end I had the Eton mess. ‘Not too sweet’ is probably the best comment I can have for a dessert. Loved the service, everyone was so sweet.

Thank you to all of your staff for making a special occasion so memorable when we came to you on Sunday 4 th August there was nothing to fault the staff were attentive without rushing us all 12 of us .the food was fantastic there was a choice for all our guests including a fussy vegan and a guest with special dietary needs .we were so pleased we came back to you for a second visit .we will be back again .

Quite limited menu but lovely food. The smoked haddock risotto was beautiful and the Sunday lunch (available on the evening also) was spot on. The Yorkshire pudding was was best I've ever had and I'm a Yorkshireman who makes great ones myself!

Well just fantastic we had lunch there today and all of our 4 meals were just amazing and perfectly made and presented. The best Smoked Haddock and Leek Risotto I’ve ever eaten excellent well done to you all at Gibsons Bistro Cromer. 👍👍

While visiting Cromer we thought we would give this place a go as it was close to our air bnb. So glad we did. The staff were really lovely and the service was great. I’m vegetarian and can’t eat diary, and they really kindly said I could have something from the lunch menu for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Also they are dog friendly! 🐾 thoroughly recommend.

We came for a Tapas evening and it was great, the food was soooo good. We could of done with a bigger table as we ordered a few to share so not much room but we managed to get them all on the table. Every dish was very tasty, especially the meatballs. We did have a bit of a wait to order our desserts, I think we may of been forgotten so had to go and ask to order them but still great service. We will definitely come back. Lovely place ☺️.

Wow. Best burgers we have had in a very long time. So delicious. They make their own ketchup and chutney. Out of this world. Food really fresh and hot. We would recommend it to our family and friends. We will be coming back soon. Xx

A step above most of the eateries in Cromer; recommend a visit (we went for dinner and breakfast!). Chicken dish was especially good. Reasonable prices. Sophisticated setting. Dogs welcome.

We booked for 5.30, were only couple there but with empty restaurant they decided in their wisdom to seat next 4 bookings into one corner, completely surrounding our table. My wife enjoyed her sea bass by my the haddock was not as good as I could have paid half the price for at Mary Janes down the road. Sorry but not impressed and therefore would not visit again.

Lovely local bistro with a varied menu u offering everything from coffee and cake to tapas in a Tuesday and full menu weekdays. Very attentive helpful staff who are friendly and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere warm and welcoming. Dog friendly!

So pleased this bistro was recommended as we were well impressed and will certainly return when visiting Cromer. I really enjoyed the Cromer Crab Linguine - with a glass of pinot, creme brulé and espresso. A wonderful choice. While my partner enjoyed the liver - so good to see this on a menu. Amazing food venue and service. So friendly a must go venue in Cromer you will NOT be disappointed! We returned for Sunday lunch and once again food and service were exemplary. We're back again for tapas tonight...and looking forward to it!

Visited Gibson's on the recommendation of a barman in town, being local and not visiting before we soon discovered that this was a mistake and realised we should have visited much sooner. Our waitress for the evening was so attentive and made us feel very welcome. The food served was absolutely beautiful and cooked to perfection, highly recommend the 'crab linguine', and the sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Will visit again without doubt and can highly recommend.

Really cannot recommend Gibson's highly enough. We've been coming to Cromer for over 15 years, and yes, we have our favourite places to eat. However, Gibsons, beats them all hands down in every aspect. The food was delicious, well presented and the portions generous. Chef Jack's passion for food is evident. The service was spot on too. Liz was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable in relation to the menu and wine list. Their young colleagues were also very friendly and helpful. The Bistro's ambience is wonderful, very welcoming and chilled out. The food is excellent value for money. We're so looking forward to our next holiday in Cromer. Gibson's will be our first port of call.

Really lovely bistrot. This was my second visit, the last being in October 2023 and it's still every bit as good. The staff are really friendly and the food is so tasty. We had the prawns and carrot and honey soup as starters and belly pork and pan fried chicken as mains and all were great. Will definitely visit every time we are in Cromer.

Delicious Sunday lunch, 3 choices of meat, I had vegetarian nut roast which was very tasty, piping hot with fresh vegetables. Scrumptious desserts. Very friendly staff. Would definitely go again.

I took my partner here for a birthday meal and it was amazing! The food was lovely but our waitresses were our favourite part of our dining experience. They were warm, welcoming and so fun to chat too! We wish we got their names to add to the review so they get the recognition they deserve. Also special shoutout to the waitress who slipped on the floor mid service and continued service with a smile on her face. Can’t wait to come back!

Food was amazing, and the service was great! And to the lady that had a little slip you are an absolute soldier, handled it with humility and grace meaning! I personally would have had to take a sit down a cry. Highly recommend and will be back.

Simply superb. Great food, great atmosphere and superb service.

This place is a gem of high standard food and service. The family vibe of the ownership is clear- we were warmly welcomed and well attended to throughout. Pan fried seabass was the perfect balance of crisp on the outside without drying the middle. Cockle dressing, sauces, and mini potato cakes that surround were fine dining standard. Desserts similarly high quality. There are many excellent food destinations spread across the less gastronomically gentrified parts of North Norfolk, and Gibson's raises the standard in a way that elevates the entire offering. Fellow locals: please support this place so we all get to enjoy it year-round!

Excellent tasty food, we had poached eggs on sourdough toast with chive mushrooms Yummy Daisy is super friendly and the most helpful waitress ever!!

Bubble and squeak and mushroom and chive brunches today. Really tasty and a very good portion for the price. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. It was our first visit and since we live nearby it won't be our last. Now looking at the evening menus!

Amazing local and a special find! Another visit tonight just ahead of NYE and enjoyed the dinner menu. Highly recommend the chilli prawn starter, the fish and chips (batter was superbly light and crispy) and beef shin. Sticky toffee lovely too, would've loved a bit more sauce on it. Check out the incredible artwork for sale as well, a visual treat. Only open since May and doing phenomenally well. Superb service, delicious food and amazing chef. My burger was incredible, one of the best I've had, they told me it was sourced from a local butcher. Amazing selection of cakes which we took out. We also bought one of the artworks from the artist that does the incredible resin art display on the walls, definitely worth a visit!

Late booking after arriving in Cromer. Spotted the bistro as we drove past because it was beautifully lit. Service was warm, friendly & attentive. Starter delicious, mains equally so and our desserts were ‘to die for’. A true culinary delight !

Just been for breakfast, the food was excellent (mushroom and chive brunch). The only let down was the pot of tea which was quite mediocre quality. However, I'd certainly return!

Eaten some great tapas in many parts of the world and this is up there. Didn’t realise this was just a theme night for Tuesdays. Have only heard great things about their roasts and daily menus, so I’ll be making another trip from Norwich very soon. Great place

Excellent restaurant in Cromer. Service is good and food is top quality. The Tuesday Tapas menu is authentic and great. The King Prawn starter and Crab cake starter are excellent as is the steak burger. We will continue to visit the restaurant.
