Good food and service in a relaxed atmosphere.

Superb meal and great experience. Excellent value for money. Most places in Cromer just offer variations on crab and lobster, but here the menu is broad, original and interesting. Plenty of choice for vegetarians. Great wine list as well as alcohol free drinks.

Good choices on the menu, including vegetarian options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again .

Lovely place, very tasty food and a great atmosphere. We went on Sunday, and they served Sunday roast. My wife had pork and beef and said it was lovely. Plenty of fresh veg, nice roast potatoes, and crackling. They served the sweetest carrots I've ever tried. I had the fish pie, it was first class! Plenty of lovely, fresh fish in a delicious creamy sauce, served with beautiful mash potatoes and a selection of green veg. I'd highly recommend visiting this place, as the food was delicious.

First night in Cromer and what a great start… loved the food and wine and dog friendly! The scallops were a good size and well cooked and the boss loved the chicken!.

Had an amazing meal at this restaurant this evening. The food was delicious, I had the chicken which was cooked beautifully. Meals are a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for, portions are a good size and very very tasty. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly. Will be returning!

Post Norfolk Marathon we were looking for a Sunday roast and Gibsons were able to seat 8 of us having called ahead that morning. The food was delicious, plentiful and all dietary requests accommodated. We didn’t stay for desserts but they also sounded great. There was a counter with some cakes and seems to be a cafe too. Highly recommend…

We visited on Saturday as a group of 6 with a small dog, we were welcomed warmly and enjoyed a wonderful, tasty lunch. The service and all of our meals were excellent. Looking forward to another visit in the future.

Fantastic service and delicious food. I had the Cromer crab sandwich which was lovely. Dog friendly and staff very welcoming. Will most likely return tomorrow for breakfast.

This place is perfect came in with 3 people got the burger and lamb liver and pork, this was the best food ever!! The service was just on TOP!!!! DOG FRIENDLY!!!! We came in with our dog and they greeted us and our dog, this place is like 1 massive family and they always make you feel welcome here!

We called in on the off chance, Sunday lunchtime, with our pup, Piggie, and were very warmly welcomed indeed. Staff were awesome as was the food! Without even requesting it Piggie was given a bowl of water too, such a lovely touch. We'll defo be going back!

An absolute gem of a place. Visited for the first time today and was very impressed. Staff friendly and welcoming, it's dog friendly. Had food from the brunch menu and it was absolutely delicious with plenty of dishes to choose from. Will definitely go again and would recommend.

Had a stunning meal at Gibsons. The food quality was exceptional, there was a lovely ambience and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We've found a new favourite place.

We went in for dinner on 10th December 2024 and we are very glad we did as the whole experience was one to remember. What a real treat it was and a really lovely bistro feel, as you walk in you have the kitchen area in front where you are welcomed by Matt, and can see the cooking process in action. The food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. We had three courses with wine. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of my starter which was "Bubble and Fish" - a beautifully cooked haddock fish cake with a slice of bacon and poached egg topped with hollandaise sauce. My main was the shin of beef Ragu tagliatelle with parmesan shavings, once again beautifully cooked and full of beefy Ragu flavour. Two of our party had the chicken breast in a creamy mushroom sauce and potato rosti with delicately cooked greens. For dessert we shared the sticky toffee pudding with locally made vanilla ice cream which was also a real delight. Highly recommend this lovely establishment. Be advised the menu does change, which is to be expected, so the online menu is a representative of the type of food you can expect to enjoy.

What an amazing Bistro - unassuming from the outside but the food is wonderful - fresh produce beautifully cooked and presented - attentive and friendly staff - north norfolk folk we are so lucky to have this in Cromer - in London this place would be fully booked forever - please support this family run business

Last night was our first time at Gibsons Bistro and it was a delight! Fantastic warm welcome, a great atmosphere even though we arrived at 5.30pm, and yummy delicious food - it was such a great menu we couldn’t decide what to have! The chefs and waitresses couldn’t have been more friendly! Lovely. Can’t wait to come back….

Dropped in without a reservation on a Sunday when everywhere else was full. We were lucky enough to get a table and we are glad we did. The food was really delicious and pricing was good. They have vegan options too which were excellent. Service was very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. Fully recommended

Fabulous Sunday roast dinners. Today there was a choice of beef, pork, chicken or nut roast. Desserts were amazing. Service was good, but occasionally thought they'd forgotten about us! Lovely ambience with great wall art to look at.

Monday night walk in, found by accident. How fortuitous was that. Food was amazing. We had the Vegetarian Wellington, Fish Pie, Posh Pie & the Risotto. Every dish was fantastic. Would highly recommend. Everything was top class. You can tell they really care.

Brunch menu states smoked salmon, what l was served was not smoked salmon it was cooked salmon, not the same thing at all so beware of what you order it may not be what you expect

Can only give 5 stars as that’s all there is! Absolutely amazing. Friendly and welcoming staff, lovely ambience and the food - excellent. The calves liver cooked to perfection as was the pork belly. A lovely fish pie and tagliatelle. Well worth the cost.

We’re lucky enough to have this wonderful restaurant virtually on our doorstep. We would consider ourselves fussy when it comes to dining out (and at home!) and to date, Gibsons has not disappointed. Always a warm welcome when you enter with staff being attentive, friendly and there to provide you with a pleasant experience. Lovely ambiance with cosy, but not too cosy seating arrangements. The food and drink is of a high standard, which nowadays with so many crap ‘restaurants’ feels like a bit of a rarity in itself. I’m typically cautious when it comes to recommending anything to anyone but would stick my neck out on this occasion and say you won’t be disappointed. Book in advance and enjoy!

Staying 10 miles away. Saw Gibsons Bistro on the Internet. Menu looked good and thought we'd give them a try. We weren't disappointed. Wonderful food and the staff were great and cheerful. We booked another night. Weren't disappointed the second time either. Thank you. If we're in the area again we'll definitely be visiting Gibsons again.

So good, we ate there two nights running. Lovely staff and the best food I've eaten in a long time.

Staying locally, for a seaside weekend get away, we stumbled across Gibson's and the smells coming from inside were enough for us to try and get Alastair minute booking for Sunday lunch. Fortunately, they could accommodate is, so we strolled down and were greeted by more delicious aromas and cheerful friendly staff. We both had the roast beef, and can honestly say it was the best roast we've ever had (and that includes Blacklock in London!) The beef was tender & tasty, potatoes crisp and fluffy, carrot and parsnip were subtle with honey, and the cauliflower cheese was good enough to persuade my cauliflower hating companion to eat it all. Beautifully cooked greens and a luscious gravy completed the feast. We polished it off in short order, with just enough room to fit in a white chocolate and passion fruit brulee/sticky toffee treat to end. Lovely staff, quick service, reasonable price and utterly delicious food. I only wish we lived closer!

It’s officially been over a week since I came in for dinner at Gibsons bistro and will truthfully admit I have not stopped thinking about my meal ever since!! As a lone diner I was treated amazingly by the front of house staff, all 3 courses tasted fantastic and arrived swiftly aswell as just being presented beautifully overall. This is the type of restaurant I’d move to Cromer for just so I could visit more regularly. 🫶🫶 If you ever get the chance to visit for yourself I’d highly recommend you try the bubble & squeak, the pan seared chicken breast and the sticky toffee pudding!!

Top notch food, we went on Tapas Tuesday and really enjoyed everything.

We discovered this fab place on the last day of our holiday in July and had the best meal of the week! The service was superb from all we met, including the George Clooney lookalike owner! The food was delicious, the prices were fair, we were made to feel so welcome! What's not to love about this place? All 3 of us came away delighted with our last evening away from home ❤️

The best food I have eaten in Cromer… ever! From start to finish, it was delicious. I visit every few months and now I have my ‘go-to’ place, which is a blessing because Cromer is real slim pickings. I wish I had taken photos to leave this review, I will next time. Thank you to you all, especially the chefs!!!! Great work!

11/10. Definitely a must-go in Cromer. The slow-cooked pork belly was great, my personal preference was to have the sauce on the side instead of on the skin? But that’s nothing compared to the quality of the dish. The potato on the side was beyond expectations too. Was debating whether I should get a dessert but I’m thankful at the end I had the Eton mess. ‘Not too sweet’ is probably the best comment I can have for a dessert. Loved the service, everyone was so sweet.

Quite limited menu but lovely food. The smoked haddock risotto was beautiful and the Sunday lunch (available on the evening also) was spot on. The Yorkshire pudding was was best I've ever had and I'm a Yorkshireman who makes great ones myself!

While visiting Cromer we thought we would give this place a go as it was close to our air bnb. So glad we did. The staff were really lovely and the service was great. I’m vegetarian and can’t eat diary, and they really kindly said I could have something from the lunch menu for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Also they are dog friendly! 🐾 thoroughly recommend.

We came for a Tapas evening and it was great, the food was soooo good. We could of done with a bigger table as we ordered a few to share so not much room but we managed to get them all on the table. Every dish was very tasty, especially the meatballs. We did have a bit of a wait to order our desserts, I think we may of been forgotten so had to go and ask to order them but still great service. We will definitely come back. Lovely place ☺️.

Wow. Best burgers we have had in a very long time. So delicious. They make their own ketchup and chutney. Out of this world. Food really fresh and hot. We would recommend it to our family and friends. We will be coming back soon. Xx

Lovely local bistro with a varied menu u offering everything from coffee and cake to tapas in a Tuesday and full menu weekdays. Very attentive helpful staff who are friendly and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere warm and welcoming. Dog friendly!

We booked for 5.30, were only couple there but with empty restaurant they decided in their wisdom to seat next 4 bookings into one corner, completely surrounding our table. My wife enjoyed her sea bass by my the haddock was not as good as I could have paid half the price for at Mary Janes down the road. Sorry but not impressed and therefore would not visit again.

Amazing food venue and service. So friendly a must go venue in Cromer you will NOT be disappointed! We returned for Sunday lunch and once again food and service were exemplary. We're back again for tapas tonight...and looking forward to it!
