The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in East of England

Edited for service issue. Best meze in town. Very high quality. Visted dozens of times, and always had the same meze dish. (Meze III). Although last time we visited, the order was taken down incorrectly and they had to remake our dishes. Not before insisting that we ordered incorrectly with an attitude that baffled us from a customer service perspective. We actually don't want to return after this experience.

Went for lunch at The Vibes this week. Sat outside by the canal as it was a sunny day, lovely atmosphere. Very attentive waiting staff. The food was delicious, very fresh and was brought out quickly thank goodness as we had a very hungry 4 year old with us! I'm sure we'll be back.

I visit here every time I come to Southend the food is delicious the fish is just so good!!! And service is amazing. The first time I visited the owner was about to close up but stay open for me which was lovely as was off season everywhere shut. Another time he even turned the fryers back on for me as he was closing early! I don't try to make a habit of arriving as he is closing. Yesterday the same amazing service and food even tho it was very busy there. I won't go anywhere else when I'm in South end.

Top notch Veggie breakfast. And the coffee is always great. Update: Still awesome, had a great lunch. Still good veggie options.

I have been before and have enjoyed the breakfast here. However, had dinner here today and was very disappointed to learn from the server that the quesadillas are pre-made. My jerk bowl had elements that appeared microwaved/heated up and my stomach is now feeling unsettled as the food was not heated hot enough - it was lukewarm. Disappointing as would love to support a vegan place.

Visited on two separate occasions. First was for morning coffee and snack, great cheese on toast with onion. Second was for a light lunch. We had a dog with us which was no problem

Checked online to see if they had tables for food, which they did have until 9PM. We arrived at around 8PM and politely asked if they are still serving food. We were informed by the staff that the whole pub has run out of food... We've never heard of that excuse before but we continued to buy a drink anyway and sit down. We then saw 3 people turn up after us who then proceeded to be sat down by the same member of staff we spoke to and they took their food order!! After bringing this up to a member of staff at the bar, they stated it was that fact they only had food left for anyone who reserved a table. By that logic, I could still book a table online there and then and then order food. Really poor service, I don't appreciate being lied to and then seeing another group of people being sat down and orders taken.

Highly recommend The Railway, the service is spot on and the food is beautiful.

I just had one of Anke’s sausage breakfasts. It’s left an almost mystical afterglow in my mouth that makes me want to fly. Delish!

I would like to take a photo but the food was to good to stop and take a photo but highly recommend dog friendly cafe PS try the milkshake you will not regret it

Proper old school pub. Friendly staff and customers. Good real ales sat by the river on a sunny evening. 👌🍺

Nice service in a central location.scone with butter was delicious and they warmed it up. Black tea was great if you like a strong cup of tea.

Wonderful stay 4 of us on motorcycles stayed for a night they let us park the motorcycles up in front of the hotel to be safe ... Barbora was excellent lovely friendly host.. rooms were not huge but we're very clean with good showers...bar snd restaurant we're nice ...breakfast room snd breakfast was great ...
