Naval and Military Club in Southend-on-Sea

Staff are amazing, great food & entertainment. We liked the staff and the other people so much my partner joined. The live entertainment is excellent. Great to see people up dancing to the music. The food is very yummy. The bar staff are super friendly and helpful. The cooks are very helpful. It's a proper old school pub/social club. You are always made to feel welcome. I'm looking forward to going again this weekend, I'd go during the week but my working hours aren't compatible. Thank you to the wonderful bar staff who gave me my confidence to go to such a great place x.

Found this place as we were going to the Cliffs for a matinee show so stopped for a drink. What lovely staff and and bar. We sat in the sun and enjoyed our drinks. Perfect location.The man who served us was lovely, so friendly and helpful. We will be back.

We hired the function room for my dad's retirement party. The venue was good value and the staff were fantastic. Highly recommended!

I have had several visits to this wonderful club, the staff are friendly & there is always a great atmosphere. Jo runs the kitchen & the food is fantastic & all homemade. I have had everything from soup to sandwiches to a wonderful Christmas dinner, possibly the best I've ever had (apart from my mums!!!!). There is entertainment most days, the singers are fantastic. The good thing about the club is you don't need to be a member, so if you're looking for a fun afternoon, why not pop in & have a home cooked meal.....

We recently attended a funeral reception for a close family member at this location and found Gill and Jo to be amazing - the Bar was a warm welcome with a great selection of drinks promptly served and the finger foods delicious with more than enough for everyone. Thank you to you both for serving us all at a very difficult time with smiling faces to greet us.

went to a friends wedding which was awesome. the venue is very old but they appear to be having a refurb so some of it is new. the staff were absolutely amazing, 2 fantastic male bar tenders for the evening, solely for our use. The bar manager, went above and beyond, helping set up for the event. The premises were functional and extremely clean. Well worth remembering this little place if you need a venue for your event. 1 niggle were the wc's. Ladies were state of the art but the mens were like something from the land that time forgot, assuming that's next on their refurb as it lets the hall down a bit. but again fully working and immaculate facilities.
