Called in today for breakfast with a friend I had full English minus beans, my friend had homemade waffle We both ordered coffee We both agreed this was the best venue to enjoy breakfast in Southwold, being locals we have tried all the cafes in the area. Staff were very pleasant and professional We will definitely return and looking forward to having lunch in this delightful cafe.

Saturday night - gladiators on the tv at a loud volume. Then they played one song then flipped channels to a royal documentary on C5 , loudly. Then put on music......one song. Back to C5. No one wants C5, even at home!

Spent a lovely few hours here today with my 4 year old. So many things to keep him entertained. We had lunch here too and it was excellent. Also very reasonably priced.

Got to be the best Sandwich shop in Bury, quality bread and good choice of fillings. Generously filled and very, very good prices.

Great little cafe and kiosk. Fab coffee, great selection of ice creams. Staff were lovely. Perfect place to pop too if using harbour end of Southwold beach / car park.

Visited this community run pub a few times recently. Reasonable selection of beers and ciders for a small place esp local brews. Food is simple but tastes great (esp the pizza) with vege options available. Service is warm and friendly as are the clientele.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Village Café after its stunning refit, and I can't praise it enough! The fresh, modern country decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is absolutely delicious! Each dish is thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast or a light lunch, there's something for everyone on the menu. The café also features a delightful shop with a selection of local goods and unique finds, making it a perfect spot to pick up a little something special. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about ensuring a wonderful experience for every guest. With great prices that won’t break the bank, the Village Café is a hidden gem that I highly recommend. It’s definitely deserving of a five-star rating!

Newborn niece kept my sister awake so I popped in for a caffeine fix (and a cheeky slice of cake) for us both. Shop is lovely, coffees were absolutely delicious and the cake very fresh. Absolutely will return and definitely recommend the honeycomb cold foam. Coffees were treaty level sweet but you could still taste the coffee.

Dropped in with a bunch of cyclists. The manager was very accommodating with our bikes to park around the back of the cafe (the front was a narrow pavement). Limited selection of cakes but the coffee & atmosphere more than made up. Warm & welcoming.

Good food staff, all very friendly service was good

Had dinner two nights running. The food was lovely and a good range of choices. Staff and service was excellent, never had to wait for any of the food and it was delicious. Definitely recommend.

Tried the seven course taster. Atmosphere and staff were good. 100.00 for seven courses. 3 of the courses were tart style so not much variation. The tart for the fish course was more a canopy. The souffle was scrambled and three out of the four of us did not eat it. Nothing reduced from the bill or an alternative offered.. potentially really good but disappointment.

Great little independent. Just on the high street. Having a refurb of the some of the venue so will be going back. Had brunch with a friend who lives in town. Friendly staff and great food. Good place for either a quick coffee and cake, or for a larger meal.
