Bugs Play cafe in Waveney

Went for the first time with our 20 month year old. Great facility, well kept with plenty of toys and great soft play equipment. Staff were very welcoming.

One of my favourite places to take the kiddies. And just super ladies there today - thank you!

I visited today and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and the staff was so friendly. My 7 month old really enjoyed herself and an hour was gone in a blink of an eye. Was great to play both inside and out. Was nice to talk to other family and share story's. Lots to do and eat here and all good prices. Was clean and a lot of different toys available. We tried the cookies tho I didn't get much as my daughter loved it and all the other food and cakes looked great too. Did not need highchairs as many available and kiddy plates and cutlery etc are provided. Would highly recommend.

Went for the first time today and it was the perfect place for catching up with a friend. The indoor and outdoor areas are safely enclosed with excellent resources. We were there for a full 4 hours today and my son didn't get bored at all, and was happy playing independently outside and moving between the outdoor area and the soft play. Staff very friendly too and great food - all the cakes look delicious! We will definitely be back ☺️

Loads to do, especially if it's sunny enough for the outside space. Good selection of food and liked the fact they supported independent and local traders, eg their lickety ice lollies. Beautiful setting, felt quite tranquil! Perfect for toddlers, in particular

Amazing experience I took my little 3 year old girl and her bother also who is 10 and she had the time of her life . Amazing food and drinks the staff are absolutely amazing and a credit . We will be coming back again very soon. Excellent work guys :)

Great large outdoor play area and also an indoor soft play

There aren’t many places I’d give five stars to, but Bugs is definitely one of them. I can’t think of anything they could do to improve things - Food and drink are great and pretty reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. Everything is very clean and well looked after. It’s big enough to keep little ones entertained for hours (inside and out) but small enough that, as a parent or carer, you can sit pretty much anywhere and still see them. There’s a dedicated baby area, for the real littlies too. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Also had a party here about 2 years ago and it took all the stress out of the planning and was even able to talk to other parents instead of chasing after a herd of 4 year olds for 2 hours! I’ll be gutted when my little girl is too old for it!

Brilliant morning out, plenty to keep the kids entertained inside and out. Very clean, food was lovely and fresh, staff helpful and accommodating. Definitely worth a visit.

I have been coming to bugs for over 6 years and every single visit has been brilliant, the warm welcome from all the lovely staff, the great menu, the fantastic play area's, even now as my children are 7 and 5 they still absolutely love going to bugs, it is our favourite place, great fun for them and a real relaxing trip out for me knowing they are in a safe, clean environment with amazing staff, Penny and the team always go the extra mile to make sure everybody has a great visit, we feel really lucky to have this venue so close by- thank you for everything you do Bugs Play Cafe! x

Another lovely visit to Bugs today with my 14 month old. Lots of fun things for him to do inside and out. We also enjoyed a freshly made lunch and couldn't resist a slice of millionaires cake to take away 😋 We will definitely be back again soon!

Absolutely love Bugs, it's one of our favourite places to go. It's always clean and tidy (maybe not so tidy after all the kids have had at it!). The food options are excellent and they cater for lots of different allergies. You can get a decent fry up before 11, and the cakes are all homemade. The kids love the soft play and then getting to go and play in the sand pit and outdoor kitchen, and of course a picnic lunch bag to boot. There's also a separate area for Under 2s which is great for little ones. If you haven't been before then definitely check it out.

We went for lunch today and took my autistic daughter’s packed lunch full of her safe foods. After we ordered our lunch which was x2 adults and another child alongside coffees, (not as though we hadn’t spent enough) a member of staff came over to tell us we shouldn’t have the packed lunch as it was not bought at the cafe. I explained my daughter was autistic and non verbal so wouldn’t eat anything on the menu nor does she understand. I was shocked that the staff member shrugged her shoulders and walked off. We felt so awkward and excluded, I wasn’t sure what to do with her packed lunch and nobody came over to apologize or reassure us. On our way out I mentioned it again to the staff, to put across this was not an inclusive reaction, they were not apologetic and just talked through their policy. This is REALLY disappointing and made me feel like my daughter was a problem. I will NOT be returning and wouldn’t recommend any parent with a SEN child to go and be made to feel like that.

We have such a lovely time every time we visit. Today was no exception. Yummy cake & hot chocolate, lovely staff who take a genuine interest in the customers, talking to the children. Lovely atmosphere and clean soft play and equipment as usual! We love Bugs!!! Xx

I come to bugs regularly with my 8 month old baby and 3 year old Nephew. Such an amazing play area post or pre our swimming lesson. Bugs is great for both ages as they have both a baby area and larger soft play for older children. Always have a lovely lunch with cake and coffee, I even got a free coffee this month with their December Deal! Run by amazing and lovely staff we always feel so welcome! If you are in the Bungay area with young kids it is so worth a visit!!

Took my 6 year old here today, she was far too old. It’s brilliant for the younger kiddies, Toddlers mainly, and there are plenty of sensory items there for SEN children. Good pricing on food and drinks. Staff are friendly. Just wouldn’t recommend for kids over age of 4-5

Lovely lunch spot, had a very tasty Bacon, Brie and Cranberry panini and really good value as always! Fun and lively atmosphere - highly recommend!

Great place to bring the little ones

First time going with my son, and we had the best time. Spent three and a half hours there.

Love it here. My little one always finds something (or everything) to play with. It's clean, safe and loads of fun. Staff are friendly. Food is good. Its a shame little ones can't eat their own snacks because mine can be fussy but it's a small negative when he's having so much fun. Well done Bugs 🐛 👏🏼

Wonderful venue for a playdate and parties. Excellent service and food. All allergens and dietaries covered. Indoor and outside space clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

I came here with my two little ones (3 year old and 1 year old) for soft play. Was really pleasantly surprised by the outdoor space (I couldn’t even get mine inside when they saw the mud kitchen). Eventually we made our way into the indoor space which they also both loved. We stayed for lunch which was reasonably priced, healthy and a nice change to typical cheese and tomato pizzas that you normally encounter in cafes. Lovely range of coffee types and gorgeous home made cakes on offer. Can’t wait to revisit.

We had my sons birthday party at the weekend which everyone enjoyed so much and wanted to stay longer. Bugs cafe is extremely clean And all the staff Are extremely friendly and catered for all dietary needs. The party food was amazing and it was so lovely to not have to worry about anything Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a party or just going for a play

Would thoroughly recommend! We've enjoyed many happy play dates at Bugs over the last 4/5 years. My children particularly love the outdoor play area: the sand pit, the mud kitchen and the music sections are all great. I love being able to meet my boys' requests to go to "soft play" but without it feeling too much like *having* to go to soft play - the refreshments are fab, it's small enough to be able to see them indoors at all times - even if you get a rare moment to sit down on one of the comfy sofas! The staff are really friendly and they are brilliant with allergies. We've celebrated both of our boys second birthday parties here. It's so lovely to be able to hire the place exclusively and know everything will be taken care of. It's a lovely little place to take your little ones to.

Had my little ones 4th birthday party here. It was great! They made everything so easy! Even cut and wrapped the cake up for me. Kids had a great time. Highly recommend it. Very well organised.

Staff are lovely .My grandson loved it especially the kitchen .Coffee was nice .pity it was just us as we were hoping there would be other children there ..May be next time .

There is something for every child here...indoor soft play and a large outdoor play area with a large range of toys and activities. Even the sand pit is spotless! The cafe serves a wide choice of food with options for all food needs. First class!

A favourite for the little people!

Always like taking the children here while we have a cup of tea and some breakfast! Food is good. Service is fantastic. There's plenty for the children to do. It's got very popular now though and gets very busy at weekends.

Very friendly place, mostly for younger children. Great play area outside. Helpful staff. Our favourite soft play( our child is 15months old).

Great place for kids to let off steam

Visited with grandchildren, very busy , lots of outdoor play activities like fort , sandpit & ride on vehicles , indoor ball pools & climbing equipment, limited spaces for eating indoors while supervising children , wish it was twice the size . Reasonable entrance costs but food prices quite high ( £1.55 for three cheese straws , £1.50 for sausage roll , £3.50 for sharing platter of bits of cucumber , grapes etc ) 95p for pack of cheese biscuits , think food prices are a bit steep for families as not allowed to take your own food to eat on premises ( even outside on patio tables ) can work out very expensive if you plan a visit around lunchtime , enjoyable though for kiddies & tots , I’m sure we shall visit again though will avoid a lunchtime .

Great indoor and outdoor play. Lovely food and drinks available, the prices for both food and entry are very reasonable too. The ladies that work there are really helpful and the will try and accommodate any request for picky eaters

It was my first time visiting today, my neighbour who came with us recommended it highly. We had a fabulous time, lots of variety for kiddies of all ages, great café and all round fab place. The staff were very friendly and cleanliness was brilliant. I will definitely be bringing my daughter back on a regular basis. Such a lovely environment too.

My boys love bugs ....friendly staff excellent food and coffee. We have spent a lot of time here .great for wet or dry days... highly recommend bugs

Fantastic place for a morning or afternoon out. Fresh coffees, teas, hot chocolates and smoothies! Seperate play area for babies and another for the big kids. A lovely outside area full of climbing frames and toys. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Overall fantastic atmosphere.

One of the best play areas for kids that I know of.

Visited about 10 times had food about 6 of these. Every time I've had a ridiculous wait. Ordered cold snack selection and waited 45 minutes, today had a toasted tea cake with a 40 minute wait. There's never a mention of a delay, just when it finally arrives they say everything is made fresh... I really can't figure out how carrot sticks or a slice of cake take so long... It's a nice place to play but I'd eat before or after. I hope they sort this out although it's been the same for the past 2 years.

I was very impressed with this place, the outdoor facilities were great and my 15 month old grandson just loved the sandpit and the slides. The indoor was constantly being cleaned by staff who were very helpful and friendly. The food choice was very good and child friendly.The indoor play area was great for both small children and older. There were various ride on toys etc scattered about which were enjoyed by the many children there.

We celebrated my daughter's third birthday at Bugs Cafe, the staff were fab and very professional. We had a hot buffet tea and the food was very good. We took our own cake and some helium balloons, the staff did everything for us including cutting the cake up and putting in party bags, this was great for us as we had baby twins at the time and had our hands full to say the least. The kids had a wonderful time. Thanks Bugs Cafe!

We brought two of our grandchildren here after a recommendation from friends. We were not disappointed! The soft play areas were great for children up to the age of seven as well as adults of all ages. The cafe table and chairs made it easy for you to keep an eye on your charges. The children's menu was ideal for little people. There was healthy options and well as delicious cakes and scones There were plenty of choices for people with special dietary requirements. The staff were helpful and pleasant. .......no tutting at the mess on the floor following lunch. I would strongly recommend the Bugs Cafe to everyone with small children.

Loved it her, very frieindly staff. Took my grandson he had so much fun, loads to do inside and out. The cafe was amazing! They had soya milk for my tea and gluten free cake! Yippee altogether happy. We both played and we both ate. Will be back.

A nice little place for the kiddies. Staff are always friendly and welcoming when people walk in. The sad thing is that there are to many parents that let their children go in the frame area with food !! Too many parents think that because they have paid to go in, they don't have to watch their children !! Some of the children that are bought here are not very well behaved, and then to have parents that just carry on chatting and taking no notice !! The frame could do with having someone working there who keeps an eye and tells parents to leave if their child continues to not behave in they way that they should. Come on all you grown ups you can chat any other time. There your kids so look after them !!!!!!!!

Having a 4 & 2 year old Its safe to say I have experience of places similar to Bugs Play Cafe but none of them have come close to this place so I thought I would list a few reasons why it is so amazing :)*The kids love the Soft Play areas / Ball pits/ Slide & Outdoor area *Its one of the few places I can sit down and enjoy a latte whilst having my kids in full view .*Always perfect temperature*None of the Standard soft play food instead homemade food that kids and grown ups love.*A place to invite my friends knowing that they will love the place too.*Last but not least the fantastic Staff that have excellent service skills ,are friendly & bubbly.My Sanctuary .Be sure to receive a warm welcome at the door .Check it out.Would 100% recommend !!Thanks Bugs Cafe see you soon

Hemos ido a 'bichos" sobre una base semanal y a los niños y no tan niños pequeños les encanta. Ha sido hecho más grande. Hay una zona para los menores de 2, para aquellos con más de 2, una zona de juegos exterior, además de la cafetería. La comida es aperitivos y pasteles que es promedio y la media de los precios. El personal siempre es amable y servicial. Está a sólo 4 libras y quedarse tanto tiempo como desee. También hay una piscina en el lugar. Ambas instalaciones genial para niños de todas las edades! ! !

Lovely surroundings for under 7's to run some energy off. It's safe and the children love it here. The café is very nice. The food is all fresh and is made to order. Good coffee and tea. Lovely staff. Couldn't fault it. Highly recommended.

Went to bugs today, wonderful place for mums to go to escape the house for a few hours. I went with a two year old and two 12 week olds. Plenty of room for my tandem buggy.

We have been to bugs before buts its recently had an extension making it a fantastic soft play cafe for families. The cakes are delicious & you are always greeted with a smile. Slight increase in prices but worth it. Great morning had there today!

We take our two year old to Bugs several times a month. He loves the large outside sand pit and the outside toys. He enjoys watching the other children playing an.d everyone if very friendly. Inside there is a soft play area with ball pool and slide. We think Bugs is a safe and friendly place for young children. The staff are helpful and the food and coffee good. Very recommended
