They very kindly put on an afternoon tea for my family at very short notice I couldn't fault the staff, service or food. Nothing was too much trouble, they looked after us all and made it extra special for my granddaughters who loved it. Thank you

Just back from an excellent lunch after a lovely 6 mile walk starting and ending at The Queen Vic. Wonderful hospitality and the food was really good - very generous portions too.

I went for afternoon tea with my daughter as a treat for Christmas but was so disappointed the food was so bland and scones were so dry and fell apart . Ended up leaving a lot and putting some in a box only to throw away . The service was poor and very overpriced as the sandwiches were tasteless have visited many restaurants but this was one of the worst and for £65.00 would definitely not recommend.

A fabulous night out with a group of friends, the food was amazing - my confit duck was perfect and others raved about their food. But… what made our evening special was the service and Tabitha led it all for us - well done Lussmans , powered by Tabitha

Review for The Bell Inn, Horndon on the Hill The Bell Inn in Horndon on the Hill is a true gem that consistently delivers on quality, atmosphere, and service. Having visited regularly over several years, I can confidently say this is one of the finest spots for good-quality, seasonal, fresh, and undeniably tasty food. The menu changes weekly, offering variety and showcasing the best of what’s in season. Whether you’re craving something hearty or light, you’ll always find something to delight your taste buds. The cozy log fire adds a warm and inviting touch, making it perfect for visits year-round. One unique feature I’ve always admired is the display of hot cross buns hanging from the ceiling, a tradition that dates back several years. It’s a quirky and charming detail that highlights the pub’s character. The management is outstanding—professional, attentive, and reliable in ensuring every guest has a well-rounded experience. Whether you’re planning a celebratory party, a romantic dinner, or simply dropping in for a quick pub lunch, The Bell Inn is a fantastic choice. Opening Times: • Monday to Saturday: 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM • Sunday: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM The Bell Inn also features ample seating indoors and outdoors, making it ideal for any occasion. Parking is available nearby, and its picturesque village location adds to the charm. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. This is a place that truly understands the art of hospitality!

I’m quite concerned that after having a coffee and a croissant, I’m asked for a tip when I use my debit card. Why on earth are you asking customers to tip on your credit card machine? I didn’t realize I was in the United States of America, and it’s quite greedy of you to ask this from your customers. I suggest you pay your staff higher salaries and give your customers no option to Tip. I won’t be returning.
