Delightful traditional cafe next to Dereham Windmill. Tea served in a Tea pot with cosy, proper China cup and saucer and a delicious home made Chocolate cake. Highly recommended.

We went for lunch at The Partea Hut near the Dereham windmill with a friend. Nice environment, lovely interior and service and a number of nice sandwiches/toasties/pasties/sausage rolls followed by cakes. Altogether very pleasant. The coffee needs improving, though.

Having heard great things about this place I was excited to try the cake here. I had the lemon drizzle slice and a cup of tea. I left most of the cake unfinished as it was so dry and not at all what you’d expect of a lemon drizzle cake. Such a shame as I so wanted to love it here. The lady’s were lovely and the look of the Tearoom is great but, on this occasion, I couldn’t recommend coming here as the most important thing about a tea room is fabulous cake and this definitely wasn’t.

Made a fantastic celebration carrot cake for my sister's 50th birthday. It looked great AND tasted delicious! It was a super asset to her special day. I am only sorry that I don't have a suitable photograph to share, but the motorbike cake topper was very well received. Thank you.

The Partea Hut has moved to Dereham Windmill and no longer at the Corner’s Nursery. It is run by two lovely ladies who make great cakes. My late husband loved coming to this place for Afternoon Tea as they make lovely cakes. I brought some friends here for Afternoon Tea as well and they always comment on how beautiful they present food on the table.

Donna and Tess are wonderful hosts, we’ve been to the Dereham Windmill cafe several times. Safe, socially distanced takeaways, always served with a smile. Scones are delicious and so are the afternoon teas - but the star of the show is Donnas cake making skills. Never one to disappoint - this year she’s made me another beautiful Birthday cake. I highly recommend. Thank you ladies 👍🏻

My wife and I visited here on Wednesday it was wonderful. The ambience and the welcome not to mention the superb cakes we enjoyed with large pot of Tea. The teapot had a knitted cosy with buttons to look like a cardigan. It is a popular place too as there were at least 10 other patrons when we were there. We were sad to learn their new landlords have served them notice to quit, but delighted to find they wil be relocating to the Tea room at Dereham Windmill

My husband and I have just enjoyed a very tasty shepherd's pie each, followed by delicious home made coffee cake... Friendly and welcoming.. A really nice place to relax... Such a shame the owners are having to look for new premises... We will follow their progress and wish them lots of luck!!

Traffic queues and no parking led to us seeking a coffee here and not in Dereham - real result. Polite, friendly and prompt service. Coffee excellent and reasonably priced so good value overall. They do a wide range of homemade cakes which looked delicious. Whilst enjoying our cuppa we looked through the book of cakes the cafe can make for special occasions. Well worth a visit and you can sit in or outside to enjoy your selection.

A very popular pub for lunch. It was very crowded. Bookings are recommended. We arrived for a Sunday pub lunch without a booking and there were only two tables left. The Sunday roast pork was a very large and tasty dish served with all the trimmings, including a lot of crackling and a tasty homemade Yorkshire pudding. Service was good. Although the staff kept apologising that the food would take 20 minutes to arrive as it was very busy, it arrived in a much shorter time.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Village Café after its stunning refit, and I can't praise it enough! The fresh, modern country decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is absolutely delicious! Each dish is thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast or a light lunch, there's something for everyone on the menu. The café also features a delightful shop with a selection of local goods and unique finds, making it a perfect spot to pick up a little something special. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about ensuring a wonderful experience for every guest. With great prices that won’t break the bank, the Village Café is a hidden gem that I highly recommend. It’s definitely deserving of a five-star rating!

Limited menu have visited a couple of times, and the menu doesn't seem to change. Had the steak and ale pie every occasion as you really can't go wrong with it.
