Has to be the best Sunday lunch I’ve had at a pub for a very long time. Good price, great staff, and a lovely atmosphere. We’ll be back!

We’ve been multiple times now and every time is always delicious but tonight was Texas BBQ night and oh my, what a meal! The food was cooked to perfection! We couldn’t have asked for better! Friendly staff, quick service and incredible food, what more could we want?!

We have visited 4 times over the last couple of years and everytime we wonder why we don’t go more often. The food and service are always incredible. The Texas bbq grill specials night was one of the best meals I have eaten. The consistent quality of the food with a really wide range of different menus at different times is not something you find very often. If you’re in the surrounding area and want some incredible food then this is the place.

AVOID at all costs ❌❌❌ I have just been for a meal with some friends. A member of the group has a severe nut allergy and made this clear at numerous points to the waitress. After ordering and eating the chocolate brownie the waitress(who we later found out was the manager) came over and said “oh by the way we gave the wrong dessert out to the nut allergy sufferer” to which she replied “what do you mean? This is a very serious allergy and and ambulance will need to be called if so.” They replied “it was a mishap.” The waitress did not offer any compassion and made it out to be a minor issue when this is someone’s life we’re talking about. Luckily the person was ok and did not have a deathly reaction or anaphylactic shock. However the outcome could have been much much worse. I will never be eating in here again or recommending this to any friends or family. The disregard to allergies and laziness is simply not good enough and at the end of the day a life was at stake. PLEASE do better. I am shocked, saddened and disappointed.

AVOID - Death could of occurred Avoid ! Allergies not taken seriously- could have been fatal ❗️❗️❗️ I visited the Nags head this afternoon. I ordered a Halloumi burger and chocolate brownie and made it very clear to the waitress I had a severe nut allergy. After the brownie was served and I stated eating a waitress came out and said “unfortunately the nut allergy brownie was not brought out so the one served is not suitable.” I replied “does this have nuts in? I have a serious nut allergy and if so an ambulance needs to be called.” The waitress had no compassion and said “yeah it’s not allergy free.” As an employee to a 5* hygiene rating I know allergies are taken very seriously. This was something I’ve never experienced in my 24 years in the U.K as well as worldwide. It’s simply not good enough and a life could of been taken for the simplest regard to laziness and self regard. All of my colleagues are well aware of the importance and seriousness of an allergy and the impact this could have. At the end of the day I was treated with disrespect for something so major. According to Allergy UK, up to 41 million people in the UK have allergies. To make matters more obvious to you 1 in 50 children and 1 in 200 adults in the UK have a nut allergy. This is a scary figure and I feel the matters we’re not met at your restaurant and more training is needed. A life could have been lost today and it would be down to laziness. This is something I will take further and endeavour to tell others about what experience I received today. It is simply unacceptable. As mentioned, I have traveled to numerous counties one being Bali where the language barrier has bren extremely different yet I felt much safer eating there than a pub 3 miles down the road to me. I am Shocked, scared and saddened. I hope you do better for yourself and also for the lives of others. It is simply not good enough. Issy.

What a lovely friendly welcome from Michelle behind the bar even though we hadn’t booked a table. Sunday lunch was delicious and the other ladies were lovely too. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

we stayed here for one night the room was meant to be a superior room but i dont think it was small bath room tiny shower .the bed was very lumpy .not a good nights sleep.i think the memory foam had lost its memory.on the plus side the food was fantastic and the staff .

Really great food, we are all gluten free and the menu highlighted well what we could eat. A lot of options are gluten free adaptable which was great! AMAZING gluten free sticky toffee pudding too. Asked for steak to be medium well however it was more on the well done side, but was still good. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the two ladies on the bar were lovely. We were able to take our dog too and sit outside. Will definitely be going back soon!

We booked here for Sunday lunch, both an anniversary meal for my parents and also a thank you to them. Service was good, friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. We had two starters, three of us had the roast (each a different meat) and one of us had the steak and ale pie. We also shared two puddings. All of the food was tasty and great portion sizes. We will no doubt return!

Just popped in on a visit. Never been before but it was very welcoming, good beer and amazing homemade sausage rolls on the bar.

Food was lovely definitely recommend and would have the steak again. We also had a couple of the specials such as the mince pie and the risotto.

Brilliant stay on Sunday evening so that we could head to our trackday at Snetterton on Monday morning. Staff were excellent, rooms were comfortable and clean, food was great... really couldn't have asked for more. A shame we had to leave so early actually, would definitely recommend if you're in the area. Thanks team!

Well what a find! What a lovely pub, restaurant, fab atmosphere, lovely staff and food to die for! Wish we lived closer!! We had a selection of mains, all were amazing. Desserts were the same (sadly didn’t take any photos). Every aspect, even the weight of the menu card, the softness of the serviettes, the cleanliness of the tables and cutlery. Even the ladies loo was immaculate. All on point! I wished I lived closer! Would be a regular.

Quaint little village pub. Stayed overnight whilst on a track day at Snetterton. Rooms were pleasant, the whole place very clean. Breakfast was good. Service was friendly and main menu was exactly what you want at the end of the day. Handmade pies, fresh fish, good burgers and daily specials. Good selection of alcohol on tap and extensive wines/cocktail menu for a place this size. Highly recommend. Carpark access is tight, and uneven. Bare this in mind if driving larger vehicles, or low vehicles. Overall 5* very happy.

We had an evening meal here, the staff were very friendly. The menu had a good selection with a couple of specials on a black board. The food arrived in good time and was nice and hot.

We went for the Sunday roast, for the 3rd time.i haven't found anywhere doing a better roast so this has become my benchmark!absolutely worth every penny.we even tried the dabbling duck in gt.massingham as it has won awards but it wasn't as good as the nag!I tip my hat

This has to be the best value for quality homemade food & excellent ingredients!Everything from drinks to coffee, menu selection & dining experience is exceptional for a village pub!. Service is excellent as is the ding room & gardens

We came here for a birthday Sunday lunch while away on holiday, the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly. Came back again in the week for an evening meal which was equally delicious, would recommend!

Beautiful food. Best roast pork / beef we have had in a pub. Well cooked vegetables. Small portion option for the less greedy. Lovely staff. Landlord beer on draft. Excellent.

We love this pub! The staff are really helpful and pleasant. The food is amazing Sunday Roast and Steak Pie is to die for. We always receive a warm welcome and the pub is particularly dog friendly.

First visit to The Nag's Head this evening and it definitely won't be the last. A lovely looking old fashioned pub front with a small traditional bar as you enter. The dining area is at the rear and beautifully done - it really got my hopes high for the food! A small menu with proper pub food had something for everyone and we were not disappointed! My Dad's pie looked amazing, entirely made by hand and very very tasty, two steaks and a stew completed the order, we could not fault a thing. Will be back for our own pies and to try the Sunday roast, so pleased to have found this place :)

Just called in on the off chance for a bite to eat. Warmly received by staff and seated in a lovely restaurant. Real ale was perfect. Ordered 2 x Steak Hogies and Burger. Very well presented and steak was not chewy at all. Homemade coleslaw was delicious. Nice atmosphere and staff were very attentive. Look forward to returning again. What a lovely village East Harling is.

A really fantastic, welcoming pub with out of this world Sunday lunch. The quality, quantity and variety of veg was first class and the yorkie huge and homemade. Two vegetarian choices which was lovely. I didn’t think the deserts could possible match the main course - but they exceeded it. My husband’s apple mousse and my orange trifle were so, so good. Friendly, efficient service and well kept beer. My sister and I have already planned a return family visit. We’ll done to all at the Nags Head.

We visited one evening for a coffee and found one member of staff very rude.Very rude member of staff at bar. Made to feel very unwelcome Seems this pub is open for certain people only.

Staying at Thorpe Forest centre and wanted to have a meal off site.. we tried this lovely gastropub in the centre of East Harling serving exceptionally fresh produce and food, the home made pies were filling, made with so much steak, the home made burgers so tasty and hand cut chips were a really nice touch. The service was also great and really reasonably priced. Thanks for a lovely evening. Great food, great service, great venue.

We needed somewhere to stay while visiting Norwich for the weekend. From the start ( booking) to the very end of our stay we thought this place was fantastic! The food was amazing .. I needed Gluten Free food and there was such a HUGE choice! And wow was it delicious!! The room was so comfy and so clean and the shower was better than ours at home so was a real treat! Everyone who worked there made us feel as if we were visiting family . Just a brilliant stay! Hope I have to go back to the area soon!

Didn’t take a photo of our Sunday roast before eating it, but I clearly LOVED it! Stumbled into this pub by chance and I couldn’t have had a better meal. Lots of veggies and lovely roasties (crunchy in the outside and soft inside), I had beef and it was very soft and delicious, and the cauliflower cheese was to die for! I am writing this review while I’m still sat at my table to make sure I don’t forget - very highly recommended for Sunday roast. Special thanks for being so careful with my unusual life-threatening allergies (pumpkin and squash).

We came here for a roast whilst staying at a forest holiday, the roast dinner was so good!! The whole thing was absolutely delicious and great service too. Best roast I have had in a very long time! 5*

Met up with family just after Xmas and stayed at middle farm which is a 15 min walk to this pub. The owners of where we stayed recommended it as the best place to eat. We decided to book a table of 10 and as my sister had just adopted a puppy we were told we would have to eat in the bar area. The bar area is snug, cosy and had a nice atmosphere. We all ordered different dishes from the menu including children's meals. We didn't have to pre order which is rare these days for larger groups. All the meals came out all together, hot and all were really good quality. The staff were friendly, the drinks reasonably priced, the food delicious and the atmosphere fantastic. We couldn't have asked for more. We have already booked the farm for the end of this year and look forward to a return visit. A really good experience.

More eating place than pub, the bar is tiny after most of it became residential many years. Plenty of space in the restaurant area though, & the food is very good.

The Nags offers a comprehensive menu, with some original and adventurous dishes. Everything is always well cooked, nicely presented, with service that is friendly, relaxed, but very efficient. This all adds up to an enjoyable and relaxing visit, without emptying the wallet, and perhaps the best recommendation is that even midweek you are sometimes stuck for getting a table. Locals vote with their feet, and they vote for the Nags restaurant.

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch, there were 5 of us and a dog so we had a table in the bar area. Cannot fault the quality of the food, we all had a roast dinner, the choice of vegetables that accompanied the meat and amazing Yorkshire pudding was terrific. Service was great with a nice bit of banter. We would definitely recommend and we will be returning. Keep up the great work!

Decided to only have drinks because it was too early in the day to eat. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean pub. Our drinks were served by friendly staff. Hopefully will return to eat one day.

The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly. We both thoroughly enjoyed our steak, and the veg were cooked perfectly, al dente as veg should be cooked. Thank you for a lovely meal.

My friend and I ordered fish and chips with a side of onion rings Very disappointed VERY oily. Batter was mushy. Onion rings very oily. Excess oil in the bowl Chips were not triple fried as described they were soft and limp not hot at all The fish inside the batter was good and the only thing we ate. We were offered at the start of meal to replace but as we were hungry and rushing we thought it would be ok. We didn’t finish because so oily and making us feel queeezy Really didn’t want pay but the manager wanted us to pay for one. Paid £17.50 as wanted to leave I didn’t want to throw up in the so called restaurant Hopefully they were having a bad day but we certainly would not recommend or go back

Super food and service great pub run by lovely staff will be returning very soon .Four of us went on a Monday dinner time it was busy which is normal for a Monday but can see why now I've been .

The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Food was delicious and staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our meals so much that we decided to come back for the evening meals again the next day. We didn't stay there and only used the restaurant so can't comment on their accommodation.

Visited The Nags Head for lunch whilst camping nearby. The food was outstanding, great choice for both adults and kids. Service was excellent, reasonably priced and lots of bar games for entertainment. Would highly recommend.

Recently stopped here whilst on a business trip for 1 night. Nice country pub feel in the village of East Harling. I believe they only have 4 rooms, which is upstairs above the dining area. Parking available to the rear of the pub. Warm welcome at the bar upon arrival, was asked to fill out a breakfast form for the morning. Enjoyed an evening meal in the pub, food was your typically pub grub but to a very good standard!.. breakfast likewise, very enjoyable. The rooms are clean and tidy, looks like they have recently been refurbished. My only complaint for the stay was that I could hear some kind of air con unit or extraction fan kicking in and out throughout the night. Still managed a good night's sleep but it was slightly annoying, doubt nothing could really be done about this though. Will definitely stop again when in the area for business. Very good value for money!
