Hands down one of the best restraunts in the area. I eat here often and have never done them the justice of reviewing them. Highly recommend their food and hospitality.

Amazing food, I’ve come here twice in two weeks now with my partner and loved every second. Lovely atmosphere, they are always busy but you wouldn’t be able to tell because everything comes out so quickly. I’ve tried a few different things on the menu now and everything is spectacular! It also isn’t greasy it feels like a healthy curry to have! Come here you won’t be disappointed!

Mukti makes your evening. He will explain the menu. Will ask the chefs to cook your meal exactly as you like it. Food excellent. Atmosphere wonderful. If its a drink you fancy or a meal the railway is the place to be. Staff work as a team to make your visit an enjoyable one 😀 😉

Después de haber comido y disfrutado mucho de otro restaurante de la cadena que sirve comida nepalesa en Cambridge, probamos este ya que está más cerca de casa. La comida era excelente. En todo caso, incluso mejor que en Cambridge (The Old Crown, Girton). Sin embargo, estuvimos allí un viernes por la noche y resulta que este lugar también es muy popular entre los jóvenes como un pub de bebidas. Estaba muy ocupado tanto con la gente comiendo como con los bebedores. Vimos esto como positivo inicialmente, ya que un restaurante ocupado es generalmente un buen restaurante. Pero el ruido... Era demasiado fuerte para escuchar a la gente con la que estábamos comiendo hablar. La zona de restaurantes es adyacente y cerca del bar y era muy ruidoso. Las mesas están muy juntas -lo cual está bien-, excepto que todos tenían que levantar la voz para ser escuchados y se hace cada vez más fuerte. Tuve que decirle al camarero qué arroz quería tres veces antes de que me escuchara. ¿Iríamos otra vez? No un viernes. O un sábado. Tal vez en la semana en que probablemente no esté lleno de jóvenes de 20 años en una sesión. Hay un aparcamiento, pero es pequeño y estaba lleno. Así que aparcamos por la carretera que estoy seguro que emociona a los vecinos, ya que está en una urbanización que probablemente solía ser agradable y tranquilo.

Este es un pub encantador y un gran lugar para comer. Somos cuatro amigos que caminamos a Whittlesey desde Peterborough y encontramos este pub para la cena. Compartimos una fabulosa y sabrosa parrilla mixta y un par de deliciosos panes. El personal era muy amable y servicial. Somos de Yorkshire, pero si estamos en la zona de nuevo sin duda volveríamos!

Good food, we ordered the Chilli paneer and Chicken Pakora to start, both were lovely although the Paneer could have had a bit more heat! But that’s personal preference. Mains I had the LHK which was a chicken dish tomato based it was stunning, my partner had HIMALI Lamb this was almost a minty lamb curry, it was really good. Plates came out hot which is a big plus and all the food was steaming and fresh, we will be back.

We were very impressed with everything here, staff, service and food were all top notch. Portion sizes were good too, which I was very pleased about as when I initially saw the menu prices I must admit I was concerned about how much you would get to eat but pleasantly surprised and went home very full. The owner is very attentive and makes sure everything is good. Impressive meal and experience, will definitely be back. Well done the railway. Still an outstanding meal, our go to restaurant when we're in the area. Top quality food with top quality staff.

Staff were welcoming and attentive. Food was a nice mix of familiar South Asian dishes and newer Nepalese flavours to try which were clearly explained on the quirky designed menu. The atmosphere is a cosy town Pub with vintage detailing, a wide range of drinks and ample table space. Good amount of parking spaces on site and conveniently located next to the railway station- definitely worth a visit if seeking a casual environment to enjoy quality South Asian cuisine.

Wonderfully unassuming local pub, real ales, cider on draft, warm atmosphere. Amazing Nepalese food. Some unique, flavourful dishes. I've been here two or three times. Everyone I take here, is equally impressed. I try something different every time I visit. The staff are attentive without being imposing. The decor is fresh, and flat floors throughout make it very accessible for wheelchairs or individuals with mobility concerns. I'd recommend booking on a Friday/Saturday as its often popular. I've been able to secure a table on other nights without booking.

I felt the need to post this as its not too often I am blown away. My partner and I went to The Railway last night (New Years Day), the minute we arrived the bar lady was simply lovely, Julia I believe was her name, she made us feel really welcome. The food was impeccable, I could not fault it. Being a person that has a passion for cooking, it was refreshing to eat something that got my tastebuds going, it was fresh, well cooked and so tender. The sauce for the curry was so tasty and the meat was cooked to perfection, great use of herbs and spices. I highly recommend to try the MOMO Chicken as a starter, the table next to us had Onion Bhaji's and said they were amazing. We drove home talking about just how tasty the food was, we even messaged our friends and told them about the place. We will be returning....ALOT.

Visited once , has the usual shabby chic decor found in pubs the only let down to me. Great dishes although Nepalese based , Wide range of foods to also satisfy the limited English palate if you are one. I particularly enjoyed a nepalese spicy grilled salmon.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Railway, and I have to say, the goat curry was absolutely fantastic! The meat was tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection with a rich, aromatic sauce that had just the right amount of spice. The blend of herbs and spices was well-balanced, and it complemented the meat wonderfully. The portion size was generous, and it paired perfectly with a side of mushroom rice and garlic naan. The service was friendly and attentive, making for a truly enjoyable experience. Highly recommend THE RAILWAY for anyone craving a delicious, authentic curry! Will definitely be returning soon.

I attended this restaurant recently and was really pleased with the food aswell as the staff , they were all very kind and helpful. They also offer free parking which was very easy and simple to use.

The food was great, and that alone would be a 5-star. Wouldn't hesitate to order takeaway food from here. The atmosphere eating inside is more rowdy pub than local restaurant. In fact it might be the loudest restaurant I've ever eaten in, to the point I had to shout to the person I was sat opposite to apologise for the foul language that was almost all you could hear from other patrons. Service was mediocre. They were very busy (with pre-booked tables) but seemed very irritated by it.

Called in on a spur of the moment decision. Was greeted with a warm welcome and had a fantastic meal. Nice atmosphere in a busy restaurant. Might be worth booking before going. But highly recommend going.

La primera vez que vamos por nosotros, es un lugar agradable, relajado, ya que es un pub también, así que no hay necesidad de vestirse si no quieres. La comida era deliciosa, el personal era amable y te pueden dar bañeras para llevar las sobras a casa. Creo que una porción de arroz habría sido suficiente para nosotros dos. Volvería a visitar como quiero probar las parrillas mixtas, llegan a la mesa chisporroteando y olía muy bien!

Husbands birthday meal.they even played happy birthday and brought him a tequila shot free of charge .would highly recommend if you like Indian food
