This place sets the bar for Indian food. It van be a little busy, but when you taste the food you will understand.

Called in on a spur of the moment decision. Was greeted with a warm welcome and had a fantastic meal. Nice atmosphere in a busy restaurant. Might be worth booking before going. But highly recommend going.

Highly recommend The Railway, the service is spot on and the food is beautiful.

First time going for us, it’s a nice place, relaxed as it’s a pub aswell so no need to dress up if you don’t want to. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and they can give you tubs to take leftovers home. I think 1 portion of rice would have been enough for the 2 of us. Would visit again as want to try the mixed grills, they arrive at the table sizzling and smelt really good!

Absolutely brilliant .Food was piping hot. Service was excellent didn't have to wait long for our meal. And you got plenty.Nothing was too much trouble. Visit was 17th August. Husbands birthday meal.they even played happy birthday and brought him a tequila shot free of charge .would highly recommend if you like Indian food

We have been coming here for a few years now after moving to Whittlesey. The service has always been amazing, staff are friendly and accommodating and the food is incredibly delicious! We recommend the railway to family & friends and everyone always has such high things to say. We can’t wait to come back for more delicious food!

Really friendly staff, my guy Mukti with the best customer service, food was really good and was really surprised when I got the bill at the end, for the quality of the food I didn’t expect it to be so cheap!

Everything about this place reached every expectation. I’ve lived in the area for 3 years and I’m just annoyed I’ve not come across this hidden gem before. The waiter Mukti was very patient and couldn’t fault his service. Will definitely be making coming here a regular thing.

We came to The Railway during our visit from the US and really enjoyed our meals! We ordered an assortment of curries and it was impossible to choose a favorite. Service was great. Would definitely recommend a visit!

What a dinner. I popped in to railway pub. I wasn't dressed to go to the restaurant, just finished work. Asked a pint, and a curry in a pub. I was told they don't serve food in the bar, ask the waiter they may have a table. Asked a waiter who was polite nice and found a table without any problem. Ordered lamb biryani with plain naan. I just wanted to have some quick after a busy day with a pint of Neck Oil. Oh my god it was amazing, and a staff is so nice, asked me several times if I like the food everything is ok... I will be back for sure! Thank you Railway!!!

Was recommended to us by a total stranger in a pub. Sounds odd but so pleased we took the chance and tried it. Probably one of the best Indian meals we have ever had. Would highly recommend.

Was very surprised when someone told me this had turned into an Indian restaurant/pub. But very pleasantly surprised. The food was great! had a mixed grill which was really nice. Would recommend for a different night out.

Mukti makes your evening. He will explain the menu. Will ask the chefs to cook your meal exactly as you like it. Food excellent. Atmosphere wonderful. If its a drink you fancy or a meal the railway is the place to be. Staff work as a team to make your visit an enjoyable one 😀 😉

We really like this place. We're only in the area twice a year, but we always come at least once. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming and the food is delicious, with some interesting curries we haven't seen elsewhere. Highly recommended!

Unfortunate experience at the railway pub today. Myself and two friends entered the pub (17 years olds) at just gone at 8. We asked on the door to play pool, and was confirmed it was okay. Upon sitting down to a table to wait we were approached by a bar staff member. She asked us all if we were 18, telling us to leave. While I had no qualms in doing so, she proceeded to tell us this was not a playground for little kids and was a pub that served alcohol. We were sat quietly chatting amongst ourselves. While I have no issues leaving an establishment if asked, I feel her tone and attitude was rude and condescending. Further more we were not required to leave as under 18s may enter a pub and not drink alcohol. As I have visited many times in the past, and I know the Railways pub to be a family establishment I am disappointed overall. To both make a scene publicly against us and turn away customers just demonstrated poor customer service.

Really good food good flavour definitely recommend

Warm ambiance and very friendly and attentive staff. Food arrives quickly and is very tasteful. The chef will gladly make dishes more or less spicy depending on your pallet. I was surprised there were no popadoms on the menu. Nice selection of beers and drinks, prices are reasonable and a nice climbing frame outside for the children. We will definitely visit again

Visited for the first time and found the food to be really nice distinctive Nepalese cuisine and really friendly, helpful and attentive staff who were great on getting stuff quickly - drinks etc. Good value for the amount of food we had. Really busy = popular, and a buzz about the place.

The food here is way over rated not authentic Indian food, the food is not brought out together with the other persons food, asked for a Fanta and got given a Lemonade and Orange Juice.

Fabulous food every time! The quality, service and portion sizes are always consistently high! Great family restaurant. Mixed grill is their signature dish and highly recommended.

This is one of my favourite local restaurants. Food is always of a very high standard, the curries are really tasty (my favourite is definitely the LKK) and the service is wonderful. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We discovered this little gem a few weeks ago and this was our third visit. Again, the food and service were exceptional. There is a vibrant friendly atmosphere and the staff are super-attentive. Amazing value for money and we will be back very soon.

Love the railway!! The food is incredible, we visit once to twice a month and staff always remember us, are always super friendly,making for a great night! It was our first visit today, and what can I say! It won't be the last :). The food was absolutely amazing, simply delicious. The nicest Korma and peshwari naan I have ever had. My husband loved the mixed grill, he was so impressed, and my son loved his chicken nuggets and chips. The service was brilliant, very friendly staff. Thank you so much. Highly recommend

First time to the railway and had a great night, the pub was heaving, the service was excellent, we had a table booked at 8pm, so had drinks in the bar first. Plenty of staff on so we weren’t kept waiting, good choice of beers and spirits. We were seated at 8pm for our meal in a packed restaurant, always a good sign, the food was delicious fresh, hot tasted awesome, staff were attentive and very friendly. Starters, main course and 2 bottles of wine for 4 for £88, excellent value. We will be back

Excellent service, rocked up at 6:00 on a Saturday night with no reservation. Couldn't fit us in in straight away but made room within the hour ! Fantastic ! 😁

Love this place a regular always look after me

Went on a whim with this one! Last minute walkin, was pretty packed but staff managed to get us somewhere fast, good customer service, bit of a communication issue at times but overall fine. Asian/eastern food, bit array of options for starters, mains and deserts. Also for vegans, children and their "Ah ha, English Menu" which was humorous. Resturaunt & bar, seats around 40/50 people with a pubesk half for small commutes to drink, also with a small outdoor seating area. Food was great, everything is plated seperately, so if you order a lot, prepare to have no space on the table for anything else, steamed plates before dishing up and price was what you expected but makes up in customer service and general vibe. Clean, tidy, decent prices and great environment to be around.

Heard alot of good things about this place, and it didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly and welcoming, prices were very cheap for today's standards, Guinness was £4.60 like WOW. Food was excellent and quick. Great bar area too. Will be coming back.
