Food is good But its the only restaurant that instead of offering desert menu we was asked to vacate table as they was busy Keep doing that and they will soon lose customers

First time to the railway and had a great night, the pub was heaving, the service was excellent, we had a table booked at 8pm, so had drinks in the bar first. Plenty of staff on so we weren’t kept waiting, good choice of beers and spirits. We were seated at 8pm for our meal in a packed restaurant, always a good sign, the food was delicious fresh, hot tasted awesome, staff were attentive and very friendly. Starters, main course and 2 bottles of wine for 4 for £88, excellent value. We will be back

Excellent service, rocked up at 6:00 on a Saturday night with no reservation. Couldn't fit us in in straight away but made room within the hour ! Fantastic ! 😁

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Railway Whittlesey, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Love this place a regular always look after me

Went on a whim with this one! Last minute walkin, was pretty packed but staff managed to get us somewhere fast, good customer service, bit of a communication issue at times but overall fine. Asian/eastern food, bit array of options for starters, mains and deserts. Also for vegans, children and their "Ah ha, English Menu" which was humorous. Resturaunt & bar, seats around 40/50 people with a pubesk half for small commutes to drink, also with a small outdoor seating area. Food was great, everything is plated seperately, so if you order a lot, prepare to have no space on the table for anything else, steamed plates before dishing up and price was what you expected but makes up in customer service and general vibe. Clean, tidy, decent prices and great environment to be around.

Always a warm welcome, Brilliant food, staff are really polite and fast. Atmosphere is good as it is busy, even in the week.

The food was fantastic, restaurant was very busy with a good atmosphere, staff were a bit over attentive, overall a great meal and I would highly recommend The Railway.

Heard alot of good things about this place, and it didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly and welcoming, prices were very cheap for today's standards, Guinness was £4.60 like WOW. Food was excellent and quick. Great bar area too. Will be coming back.

Food was absolutely amazing, no grease at all. Everything served to perfection. The flavour was mind blowing. (Even catered to an intolerancy which we advised them of menu options 24hours in advance). Thank you very much. The service was quick and professional. Very polite staff. Another fantastic meal at The Railway. We have been many times and never been disappointed. The food is tasty, full of flavour and well presented. The vegetarian options are delicious. Highly recommend the chilli paneer and onion bhaji. The peshwari naan is the best! Service from everyone is amazing. The team are all super friendly and welcoming.

Just had a brilliant meal at The Railway, Whittlesey, Peterborough, my partner won us a meal and a bottle of Prosecco for Valentines and they served up a beautiful meal as always. Highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed 👍😘

Tonight we went to the Railway after winning a prize draw for a Valentine’s Day meal for two. The food was excellent, soup, starter, main course and dessert plus a lovely bottle of Prosecco. The staff very friendly and helpful. As I have never won anything like this before it was extra special. Thank you to all at The Railway, we will definitely be back.

Excellent food , always freshly prepared and service with smile , eat here at least once a week with the mrs and has never dissapointed us ! I regularly ask for a dish that isn't on the menu, which they also make for me. If requested, i Rate the railway 10/10 for the food, service, and prices !!!!

After so many failed attempts from past occupants, to keep the restaurant open, The Railway is now bursting with customers, enjoying delicious Nepalese cooking arriving piping hot quickly from the kitchen. Congratulations to the friendly staff. Booking essential at weekends.

Best curry around. Always service with a smile, even if you haven’t booked and they are very busy they try their absolute best to accommodate for you (but please do book, sometimes it is very very busy). Great lovely atmosphere, clean and honestly our go-to for a special meal out. Can’t recommend enough. Also their peshwari naan is incredible.

Went for Christmas meal with the family. Food was lovely and the service was great. Will 100% return in the new year to order off the usual menu.

First time here and what a find!! We ate in the Indian restaurant, the food was quick, very fresh and delicious. The service here is second to none, the staff really friendly and understanding (we have a very lively 5 year old) and they serve a great selection of beers. Will definitely come again.

Since coming here earlier in the year , this is my "go-to" place for a night out. The food is always fantastic, and the service is really good. We've even had thier take aways. The mixed grills are amazing, and the goat curry really needs to be tried - as that is really tasty. The bar staff here are great. All in all - this has to be one of the best places to come and enjoy what is probably the tastiest curry in the area. Ate here on a Monday night, and it was brilliant. The staff were quick to get our orders once we'd decided what to have. This included them bringing our drinks through also. We went for starters and main. The Onion bhaji was the absolute best I've ever tasted - and a decent size too. We all chose different dishes - and when it all arrived - we could have done with a bigger table! The mixed grill was amazing - and so tender . You could choose a different sauce with the biryani (we still had the vegetable) Really good food - which was so tasty! Highly recommend, and we will definitely be coming back to try other dishes!

Excellent food, excellent service. This place is such a welcome change. Friendly atmosphere, very reasonably priced and not trying to overstate it but, the food is exceptional and it arrives hot and freshly cooked. Would recommend to anyone. Hope it stays this way. Five people, fed and full. FIVE STARS....!!!

Really nice atmosphere. Very nice food. I had the regular mixed grill, mushroom rice, and tarka Dahl. It was excellent, good portion sizes, and really good price. We will be going back when we are in the area either later in the year ir early next year.

I had a really nice meal at the railway with my son, nice friendly staff and a good atmosphere in the restaurant. we had the chicken yum yum and it was really good. A very pleasant evening thank you.

Really good food - which was so tasty!

My kind of pub grub!! I popped in definitely on a budget and got 2 pints of Moretti, lentil soup and chilli garlic mushrooms for under £20! The lentil soup was lovely and light and the mushrooms were banging, a good portion with tomatoes, onions, and chives. I’m not even vegetarian but thought how happy they would be to come to this Nepalese pub so close to the railway. And the staff and local crowd were lovely as well. Thanks for making a terrible not so good day much better!

First time here tonight. Food and service were excellent. As we were eating early we were the only ones in the restaurant so not a lot of atmosphere. Food choices are good and Food is served piping hot on hot plates. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be returning soon

Little disappointed..was really looking forward to it...very noisy ,not very relaxing...definitely not a cozy romantic meal...had two different dishes but they actually tasted the same,both in sauce ,one dish did not say that on the menu so i was expecting it to be a dry grilled dish...rice and naan nice though...excellent service though by friendly staff.

Travelled 20 miles to try The Railway and was not disappointed. Although busy, service was swift and attentive. Food was superb, tasty, hot and goòd sized portions. Will be back soon.

We went for an evening meal on Saturday. We had booked a table and was seated immediately. The food is amazing, completely different to anywhere we have tried before. There was 3 of us, we had the vegetable mixed grill as starter, then for main course we had rum rum chicken with pilau rice, Vegetable biryani - this was the best version we have ever tasted, the sauce was mild so would be suitable for anyone. We also had the goat curry, all the food was amazing and so tasty. This was our 2nd visit and we will definitely be visiting many more times as there are many items on the menu we would like to try. The food was piping hot and delivered quite quickly, the staff are very friendly. It is a family friendly restaurant with plenty of choice for everyone.

Second time here with a group of friends. Excellent food and service. Will be back another day. Thank you.

Visited the Railway Inn for the first today as a family of 4 and I can't rate the experience highly enough! The food was exquisite and with such a great choice of Indian dishes! The staff were also very welcoming and attentive too. We will definitely be returning more than once!

Time for me to write a review although I work there in the bar no time for sampling the food as always busy but on my day off my husband and I had a meal and wow !! he likes very spicy but I don’t he ordered for a starter garlic chili mushroom and I had crispy squid great choice Mains well I went for Everest king prawn wow love seafood he had a lamb dish made to his specifications and a naan bread between us as portion size massive All I can say was meal was fantastic xx

1at time being here,It was a family meal for Father's Day,I'm a very fussy eater and I always have been,but I thought Id take chance on a meal that wasn't a safe option like chips n cheese,but I chose saagaloo and omg it was definitely worth it,it was so tasty 😋,and the staff were extremely friendly towards not just us adults but to our grandchildren which was appreciated 😊

Only been open a week. First time visit it was a taster night on the Food they will be cooking. Which will be indian and english Food. It was very good. Its not a supermarket to buy Food from.

Never been here before but the atmosphere was very relaxed, the staff were great and made us feel at home. We didn't try the food this time but will certainly do so another time. There's a great selection of Nepalese & English food, vegetarian/ vegan and regular.

First time here, and we only live about 5 miles away. What a find ! Re-opened in 2022. With a complete makeover on the inside, fantastic! Mainly Indian food which is why we made a point going. Great food, great prices and very very friendly staff and the chef also takes the time to come out to check on his diners,which to me, is a great way of engaging with potential regulars. Every dish was full of flavour and didn't dissapoint. We'll be back for sure Well done to each and everyone of The Railway. 😀

I visited The Railway with my parents to celebrate my dad's birthday. The venue's had a bit of a chequered past so it was lovely to see it busy and thriving under the current management. We were greeted and seated immediately. The staff were really helpful and mindful of my dad's walker and seated us at a table that helped him get in and out easily. My dad's not big on spicy food (or so he thought) so ordered the butter chicken. The staff helped my mum choose a dish to her taste, and I had the chicken balti. The food came out quickly yet tasted so fresh and delicious. The food is really plentiful so we just ordered two rices and two nans between the three of us and it worked out perfectly. The staff work so hard and are continually back and forth, yet remain totally attentive. We had a lovely evening. My dad cleared his plate (which was his benchmark of whether he enjoyed Indian/Nepalese after all) and decided that next time he needs to order something a little spicier 😂. I'll definitely be returning here. It's tasty, has super friendly and efficient service and is fantastic value for money.

Me and my partner decided to give The Railway a go after hearing great things about the food from family and friends. We weren't disappointed. The menu is small and focused, which we loved. To start we had the chicken tikka, sheekh kebab and onion bhaji. Served within 20 minutes of placing our order, everything was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly tender and the onion bhaji was one of the best we've ever had. For our mains we had the lamb LKK and the goat curry (I've forgotten the exact name on the menu). Both were fantastic, very generous portions and again, beautifully cooked and tasted super fresh. The service was impeccable too. I must say, for the money, this is definitely up there in terms of quality and is in the running for the best Indian/Nepalese food in Peterborough and the surrounding area. For reference, me and my partner had 3x starters, 2x main dishes, 2x rice dishes, 2x pints of beer and 2x glasses of wine. The bill came to less than £70 which is an absolute bargain these days. If you're thinking of trying this place out, do it. You won't be disappointed!

Not impressed, i had a dog with us and had to sit outside with a heater that wasn't working and a limited menu.

Amazing experience. Sub and the staff and are amazing and cannot do enough for you. Recommend to everyone!
